The minute you say gluten free they ask if it's celiac! They change their gloves ... take out a pre packaged roll... lay it in a piece of parchment. I've had it in many places!!! Never had a issue!!! Jersey Mike's makes a great hoagie. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the rolls. The rolls are too bready and soft. Let me begin with the positive attributes of this establishment. They always have fresh ingredients. The staff is always friendly, courteous and fast, but they don't always follow instructions on the way you want your sub but they will correct it for a price! The store is always clean and I never have to wait long which is good also. To me...Jersey Mike's is the place I go when there's not a good deli open nearby or I haven't picked up fresh lunchmeat and rolls from the Acme to make my own sandwiches. Even though their ingredients are fresh, they usually don't put enough meat on their sandwiches and I have to order double meat. I wasn't going to post this review but tonight I paid $53 for a giant heated roast beef sub With mushrooms, bacon and onions, plus a regular Italian, one can of soda, and two small bags of chips! I was shocked when the manager told me how much it was because I've been getting sliced roast beef in lieu of steak for a cheese steak for over three years now! I will say... I tried a bite and it was delicious, but I will never pay that price again! I will make my own subs from now on. Oh, I forgot the $8 tip. So, I actually paid over $60.‍ They are fast, fresh and convenient, but that's about all I can say, and way too over priced for the amount of meat they put on their subs! read more

I have always enjoyed a nice Italian from jersey mikes since I was a little girl! But what I don't like is someone rushing me on the phone to take my order. I understand they get busy as do most restaurants and fast food places around here but When a customer is calling to put in an order please listen to them before you go in with "any other sandwiches?" Religiously gets our orders wrong every time we go there. Gets to the point that we have to literally check our sandwiches prior to leaving the building. i ordered a giant size philly cheese steak online about 45 minutes ahead of time because i was visiting a relative at a retirement home. i went to the store and got there a few minutes before requested time and my sandwich was luke warm. i hate when they make a few minutes after they received the order instead of making the the food a few minutes before the pick up time!! read more

When I was younger Blimpies was kind of a big deal. Then Subway got big and Blimpies is basically non-existent now. That sucks cause Blimpies is much better than Subway. That's probably why I enjoy Jersey Mike's so much. They remind me of Blimpies. Since there are none in New York I don't get to eat here often but I'll usually hit one up on my way back from A.C. I usually go with the Original Italian, which has provolone, ham, prosciutto, & pepperoni. I get it "Mike's Way" with lettuce, onions, tomato, oil, vinegar, and spices. Think Blimpies but alittle better... I would prefer this sandwich shop over both Blimpies and Subway. The cold cuts don't taste as "processed" as Subway's and the portion are more generous. Just plain horrible service. There's only one good employee that's been there for quite some time and unfortunately she just sliced the meat and doesn't assemble the sandwiches. After watching them make me a super sloppy turkey in which he scraped the sides of an empty lettuce pan and put the scraps on it, I watched the other employee scrap the grease off the grill and put it on my boyfriends cheesesteak. I lost my appetite before I even got to eat. I so badly wanted to say something but I was already so upset I didn't want to exacerbate the situation. no no no In a town with not great food and no real `boars head type` deli we are stuck with 3 wawa and this JM (an equally bad Subway finally shut the doors). Usually a fan of JM in general..This location blows. After many attempts, and 2 large subs for $27 that hardly had any meat I am done with this location..(and likely the Manahwkin loc as they say its the same owner). If I want barely filled bread with sub par meats (i.e it`s not even in teh same world as Boars Hd,Thummans etc) I`ll go to Wawa and pay 1/2 JM prices..If JM meat quality was betetr and they put enough on it and didn`t lay it sloppily on doughy bread maybe but if you are gonna charge these prices,you better be on par with them..The owner seems to fancy sporty cars- well maybe this is how he affords them $3 in raw material for $27. I had heard of this establishment, but we do not have any around us. A couple years ago we discovered this one on our visit to Tuckerton. Now whenever we visit, we look to dining here. Today was such a day. The Italian hoagie is very good! I like the rolls that are used here. We have never had a bad meal, although I will state the Chicken Caesar Wrap is nothing special. read more

I avoided this place for years and then finally tried it and have been hooked! I'm puzzled by others criticisms about the lack of deli meats, as we've NEVER experienced that! Maybe they all were made by the same crappy employee who I have had the luck to have never encountered???? Anyway, FRESHLY sliced, which is practically unheard of these days! I could stop right there! My only complaint is that they cut the bread all the way through which makes the sandwich fall apart...you have to request "wedge cut" so that the top and bottom stay connected and help hold all that unhealthy yumminess in. I still am amazed that a sub shop chain can produce subs that are reminiscent of the quality of my local sub shop from years ago. I really recommend trying this place. Besides my go-to Italian sub...usually called a number two, but I think called a number 3 here, I have ordered a roast beef and actually eaten it! Not salty or weird at all. The sandwiches aren't all that bad, but, there really is no consistency. For example, I've ordered a regular size veggie with no cheese on several occasions yet I've never paid the same price. They all get kind of confused when I tell them no cheese, just veggies. That's my only issue right now. read more
