Sharing a local business story... a family dinner meal from Jersey Mike's Lighthouse Dr location. Once home and into the meal it was discovered a sandwich was incorrect. The sandwich was tossed out and left at that. No phone call or the like. The next day I went by the store and spoke with John, the manager. This approach was more reasonable than jumping on social media and complaining about the sandwich. John listened and the order was made whole. This exchange or sharing of info is how and why members of the Barnegat and Manahawkin communities shop local and support our local businesses. Usually good. However I wish I knew the cheesesteak would have the sandwich peppers in it instead of green peppers. The pickling juice on these sandwich peppers was so strong it ruined the flavor of the entire sandwich. Huge chunks of pickled peppers in my cheese steak was not appetizing. read more

Bought lunch for my guys, ordered four different large subs. The boy making the sandwich was very nice. Service was great. He made the sandwiches in less than 10 minutes! So I've been to this location twice this week. The bread is extremely fresh with a nice crisp outside and soft inside. I ordered the tuna with lettuce and onion, my son the Portobello and cheese, my daughter the #42,and my husband the tuna with everything. The location is extremely clean and friendly I just have a big issue when they don't fill a sandwich and you take a bite and it's just bread. I have ordered several of these pricey sandwiches and from several places. When this location first opened they tried harder to please. I had points accumulate which is a plus. It rewarded me a free sandwich, I ordered the #17, steak and cheese and it was an epic fail. The meat was so skimpy it looked like pieces were chewed and grainy, and just scattered in the bread. There was not an ample piece of steakum in sight. The bread was mushy cause I asked for light mayo, was it the extra 1.96 I paid and not full price? This was disappointing and I couldn't eat that sandwich at all. I couldn't give it away, no one wanted it. Sadly disappointed, that is the sandwich I usually buy! This location is fantastic. I stopped in on my drive home from the shore and they are the FRIENDLIEST staff I've ever seen at any deli ever. They were also SUPER fast. After we ordered, there was a big rush of customers that came in (including one guy picking up a large catering order) and they helped everyone at lightning speed. Bravo. read more

So far so good! New store in the area so I decided to grab lunch for the family. The app made everything super easy. I put in what we wanted and they gave a pickup time. I arrived a few minutes after the time and the bag was waiting for me. The girl greeted me and gave me my order and I was off. Easy peasy. The sandwiches were perfect for the order and tasted great. I got my usual #9, it was awesome, the bacon was crispy, the meat was delicious and basically it was fantastic. The family loved theirs as well. For a fairly new spot, everything was great. The bread here is consistently hard. On the most recent sandwich I've order, the bread was rock hard, couldn't even eat it. On occasion the bread will be soft but rarely. Please fix this issue. read more

So happy to have a JM in my town. Went opening day for a fee half sub and it rocked. Lots of meat, toppings and LOVE. Can't wait to go back. They have some really nice tables outside to relax and eat. Not the greatest view of the main road but I'll get over it. read more

After Downloading The APP, The Having To Uninstalling The APP Seven Separate Times (7X), Calling The Store Three (3) Separate (3X), Being Told By Management That I NEEDED To Visit The Jersey Mike's Sub Website, To Ultimately Having To Drive To The Location Was NOT A Pleasant Experience At ALL. Although This Was The Locations First Week Opened, The Staff Was Friendly But They Were NOT Prepared For A SUNDAY NIGHT Visit. The Cheesesteak Meat Was Tough, And In Large Clumps, And The Vegetables (Peppers, Onions, & Mushrooms) Were HUGE Pieces NOT Bite Sized Nor Like ANY "Philly Cheesesteak" That I Ever Enjoyed! ! ! BOTH Subs We Had Ordered Were FULL Sized With Double Meat And Cheese. . . The Turkey And Cheese Was Also Less Than Desirable! ! ! The four stars was for the cheesesteaks in the order. Very good, A +. The tuna sub was meh at best. Wayyy overstuffed but not with taste. Barely any "Juice" on that sub which was on the order. Tuna was bland. For a place that promotes its special topping, it was not generous with it. Will be back, but will go with a different item. read more
