The food was ok , but the dining area was DISGUSTING!!!!!! Food over every table , we had to clean a table ourselves before we sat down . No one was cleaning up and even the plastic ware are was disgusting and a mess . We understand that it's in a not so great area and the people that go there are the ones making the mess but they should have somebody that's sole responsibility is to keep the tables clean so people can actually sit and enjoy the food they just paid for. There was nobody that cleaned the table the whole 35 minutes we were there not one person came out and wiped down one table or tried to even replace or clean the plasticware area. Girlfriend and myself went in last night at 7:45 (Saturday) and there was one employee working the line and making everything. 3-4 employees were conversing with each other near the register. Dirty tables were the first thing we noticed. The line quickly piled up out the door due to the cashier leaving her post for a solid 3 minutes, which we were all confused by. When she came back she didn't look at us or offer any apology for the wait, and proceeded to talk to a coworker about something unrelated and inconsequential in that moment. Let's start with top to bottom the serving line is absolute mess I watched a worker wipe down the left over food from making orders into the container of clean food . they are always out of items and floors and garbage cans or always over flowing on the floor . This place is a true shit hole! Sadly it's the nearest location in the area so those of us that want our Chipotle fix have no choice but to visit this place with extreme caution. Ordering for pick up can often times go terribly wrong. Then when you do get the correct order, it's never ready on time (usually 30 mins after pickup time selected). You're best bet is visit this place in person and watch the miserable employee make your meal as you give them the evil warning not to screw shit up. This place went down hill pretty fast. Ordered online in order to get a quesadilla. The place was filthy from floor to ceiling, didn't touch the doors had to push with my elbows. The ice machine was broken for like the 4th out of 6 times I've been here so had warm soda. An employee was restocking utensils but I was told they were out of napkins. I finally had to ask the employee to move so I could grab a straw because he wouldn't budge. The quesadilla was the worst I've had at chipotle. It was half the normal size and even less chicken and cheese so it was mainly dry folded tortilla. So overpriced too at $13 without drink. I went into chipotle at 3:20pm & Tyler (the name they gave me) took my order.I had ordered a bowl and asked for a little chicken & hes telling me that portion was enough after shaking the spoon before putting it on my bowl. After that he had an attitude handling me & the person I was with. He was very passive aggressive & gave her half a scoop of rice.. She asked for more rice & after that he gave her nothing but heavy overflow portions of everything. I said hes being rude & the lady who came from TOS side said "oh God" I said no reason to say Oh God because im not causing a scene. I am so disappointed in this location, I used to go here and things were okay but in the last few months things have gone downhill big time. In October we went there with my husband and son and ordered three bowls, they were out of black beans, cheese, grilled veggies and I found this to be insane. How are you out of black beans and cheese??? They are always out of grilled veggies btw. Anyway I was pissed and I asked them are we getting any discount. Do you know what their answer was??? No, because we don't charge for any of that. OH MY GOSH are you kidding me. However we were starving so we tried to eat it, that is when I discovered someone must have put the entire salt container in the corn. It was in edible. My son and husband ended up throwing away half but I went in and brought mine back it was inedible. No response as to why or any offer to fix anything gave me a refund for mine but I was still pissed. Oh and they did not let my husband use the bathroom, said they have them closed or something. The cleaner had the napkins and everything dismantled and there were no napkins, had to go back to the counter to get napkins. Horrible. Well last week I asked my YouTube channel should we try it again and I was livestreaming when I went in to the same location. The worst though was that the customer service was terrible. If you hadn't been to a Chipotle in a little bit and didn't know the ins and outs of the menu and had questions you would first receive a big eye roll and then finally just silence as they put the cover over our dish and passed it down the line. To Whom It May Concern: On March 19th, 2024, we walked into Chipotle Mexican Grill at 444 RTE 211 E Middletown, NY 10940 at 1:00PM and we were so excited to have our group lunch here. There are specific days of the month that we can come out into the community to do some networking and also eat lunch away from the institution and we decided to all go to Chipotle. The group of staff members that we went with to Chipotle have always raved over there experience at this specific restaurant of saying that the staff at chipotle are fantastic and very attentive and that we would not be disappointed. I have never eaten at a Chipotle and was looking forward to trying out this restaurant. However, as we walked through the front door, we were highly disappointed on how the customer service, ambiance and appearance of everything was. The tables looked like they haven't been wiped down since they opened from the day before, the preparing station of where all the ingredients were holding were not filled, not very well maintained during the service hours and you can see that the staff members were completely miserable. As the group of us, 8 Corrections Officers we waited almost 45 minutes to place our order. At this specific location there was a front register associate named Fernando and was extremely rude and made us feel very belittled and ashamed of what we did for a living. When we presented our Law Enforcement Officer Credentials as instructed to do as Chipotle loves there first responders and gives them 50% off of their meal that's when Fernado was extremely rude, and I was very upset. He first started out saying that "Oh are your guys corrections officers, I said yes we are with a smile on my face and he said "Oh, I am not allowed to give you you guys Correction Officers the discount because I can lose my job and be fired" I then stated, "You just called us Correction Officers and your saying you can't give Correction Officers the discount...." He then stated "Yes that is correct that Corrections Officers cannot get the Police officer/first responders the 50% off of your order because you're not considered Law Enforcement. I then stated, but you just looked at my credentials and it clearly says right on my credentials that I'm a Law Enforcement Officer." Now you can see that the line is building up more and more and that people are not giving us dirty looks and making us feel very uncomfortable... I requested to speak with a manager as I believe Fernando was so completely wrong... Now Kaleigh Evans comes over to the register and she reviews my credentials she literally took 1 full minute, and I even pointed it out to her where it states on my credentials that we are a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. She then huffed and puffed and saw how long the line was again and said just give them the discount so we can get them out of here. I then said, well that's extremely rude! Ferando then stated again well, as long as I don't get fired and then I felt even more embarrassed and upset so now. I received my discount and my receipt and waited for my food and left. This was a terrible experience that no one should have ever experience... I believe Fernando needs customer service training, Kaleigh needs retraining in being a manager as the restaurant was in a complete disarray and I believe a sneak attack field visit would be beneficial. I wish them luck in their future as we felt so belittled that now we all will not be returning and telling all of our families, friends and fellow First Responders/ Law Enforcement officers. read more

I asked my son to pick me up Chipotle while he was out and he mistakenly ordered online what I wanted instead of going in person. The Chipotle in Middletown is possibly one of the worst ran food establishments I have ever been to. Going there is like playing Russian roulette. There is a 1 in 6 chance you will actually get the food you want when you go there. Those odds unfortunately drop to 0 in 6 if you order online. This particular site is well known for putting half orders in stapled to go bags or just containers filled with corn to make the bags seem the right weight. You would think this is a horrible business model because customers would just bring the food back or open the bag right then and there and demand their money back..right? Guess again. This store's manger does not refund anyone ever. I knew this because I got scammed by getting a wrong order and was told to call corporate to complain. I told this story to my son and he laughed because of how angry I got. A few years later I decided to try this trash hole again hoping there was new ownership or corporate over site to improve this location. So...my son orders online and goes to pick up the order and is advised they were out of several items I wanted in my bowl. They just put in the bowl the items they did have and did not change the price. There was a difference in price definitely and the manager refused to edit the price and when asked to just refund the order completely the manger (a young female who refused to give her name) told my son that " we don't issue refunds and to call corporate". She did not even provide a number or present him with a card with the contact info. She just walked into the back and acted like she was busy. Now you have to understand that I completely expected that to happen and I am kind of glad it did happen since now it has proven to my son how much of a trash hole this place was. The place rarely empties their garbage. Inside trash bins are often filled with garbage from the previous day and the tables and floors are always covered with garbage and never cleaned. The soda and ice machine have not worked in years and if you look closely at the iced tea and what i think is lemonade containers, there is a thick film of mold around the inside. Their employees vape while they are working and nobody says anything. Update: A rep from Chipotle commented to reach to them via their website.
