I had the pleasure of experiencing the worst online order pickup I've ever had, and that says a lot. I arrived at the store, politely told the employee that I was there to pick up my online order, and even showed my phone with my name and order number on the screen. Unfortunately, before I could finish my sentence, I was rudely interrupted and completely ignored. The employee responded with a dismissive expression and said, "I don't know what I am looking at." Since my phone seemed to be too distracting for her to process spoken words, I put it away so she could "focus" on what I was saying. She then asked for my name. My name is uncommon, so unsurprisingly, she could not recognize it by pronunciation alone, which is exactly why I showed the order on my phone in the first place. As expected, she could not find the order by name. I then had to take my phone out again and show her the order. Only then did she finally hand me my food, with a look of pure disdain, as if I had not already paid. I strongly suggest this store provide basic training on listening to customers until they finish speaking and on showing basic respect to other human beings. One would also assume that employees at Chipotle should be familiar with what an online order page looks like. I have never experienced such a humiliating and unpleasant pickup experience. I was by myself in line and the staff didn't let me finish looking at the menu before starting and they gave me half portions of everything. They were impatient and rude and kept trying to get me to checkout before I was done ordering what toppings I wanted. Worst chipotle ever. Employees are not trained. While making a bowl, they ran out of lettuce so the employee started collecting lettuce that's fallen on the outside of the line, squishing in his fingers while mixing in with all the crud and started to put it on the bowl. On the other side the other employee was wiping the same line with a dirty rag where this lettuce was fallen. On top of that when I pointed it to the manager, she raised her voice on me that somehow I was at fault for pointing that blatant sanitation issue. She was a joke. If you're reading this, trust me when I say do not waste your hard earned money here. I am thoroughly disappointed with a couple things: 1. I did an online order of a bowl for myself (half barbacoa and half chicken) and a burrito for my husband (chicken). As a ravenous pregnant woman, I was expecting to get good portions like we normally would at other locations for the expensive price of it all, and when we came home, we both found VERY little meat in both of our orders. Mine was a strange sloppy, gooey, mess and his lacked the meat. I tried eating through it but in the end felt so unsatisfied and terribly emotional especially after a long day at work. 2. Being emotionally charged, my husband decided to call their store and speak with the manager. He simply wanted to let them know to please be more conscientious when packing orders for future customers. When he finished speaking, all he got was a very quick and sarcastic, "Okay thanks" and ZERO apology. We weren't even asking for a refund. This is coming from the store manager? This is the type of person Chipotle hires? My husband then told her we just will no longer be returning to the store and she simply said okay and still no apology. My husband and I both work in public service jobs so we know what proper protocol for managers are and it's certainly not to treat people the way she treated him over the phone. Upon seeing all the negative reviews, I'm surprised this location isn't trying to turn things around. At least, I assume so since it has been years of negative reviews. They can add us to the long list of ex-customers. Clearly, they have a lot of people no longer giving them their business. I have only been inside a Chipotle once, in Tigard, maybe 7 or so years ago when a coworker called in lunch and asked me to pick it up. I do not remember the food. What I remember is the claustrophobic cattle chute entrance between the door and the register. Nope. Not a fan. I'm not even sure that one is still there tbh. This week during the whole shelter at home situation my restless, bored teen is feeling take out food deprived. Even though we had my amazing homemade leftover chicken and dumplings waiting in the fridge for dinner, the kid was " Mom! Mexican! and Chipotle DELIVERS!" I do not know that I would call it Mexican. But I caved. It was a heck of a week. And next week looks that way, too. Our food showed up fast. Uber Eats has waived delivery fees. It was still not cheap. I am too embarrassed to tell you what it cost. The burrito bowls are enormous and we both ate half for dinner and half for lunch the next day. The guacamole is decent. Our food was good tasting, if cold. That might be a delivery thing though. I don't know if I would do it again. I am actually surprised teen wanted to try it. The kid had a 3 minute interview at a different branch and didn't get hired. Looking at all the bad reviews here and on the other locations that made me glad. I think they have employee issues. Oh BTW the queso was ok. Not spicy.I lived in Texas for a while and I like queso. This is not that. But this was kinda satisfying in a gringo kinda way.
