Was confusing to order. I felt rushed by the servers as I had only been to one before and was unsure what the difference was between a salad and a bowl?? Cardboard bowls, paper napkins and plastic forks. The inside has corrugated tin around the walls. I ordered a salad with beef, guacamole, salsa, queso on the salad and a drink. It was over $18. Seemed pricey and the soda was $3.10 by itself. Next time I eat here I will get water and keep everything else as I did. This is the closest location on my way to work, this is my second and last time eating or ordering from here. I placed my order at 12:30 to pick up at 12:50. Got to the restaurant at 1:02 and my order wasn't there, staff came out and said "someone probably took your order". Waited and got my order at 1:20 (what was the point of ordering ahead). I grabbed the "cleanest" table I could find to eat there as quick as I could. The table was dirty, looking around.. so was the restaurant floor. Sodas were out also. I went to chipotle today and they were out of rice, chicken and steak. Was told there would be a 40 minute wait for rice. Obviously people are annoyed and the worker proceeds to whisper under their breath expletives. Absolutely unacceptable. Of course people are upset! You were out of everything! As the other reviews state, this location skimps or shorts customers on the meat, in my case barbacoa. I go to Chipotle 3x a week. And I left yesterday with my bowl. I go to open it there was hardly protein and I won't just eat cheese and rice. I called and Raul answered. I offered to bring bowl and gave receipt info. When I came back a wanted a remake like on phone. So now he stated all he could do was track the incident and log it so he could investigate my order. Needless to say I didn't get a bowl remake. This was the first Chipotle I ever went to over 20 years ago and I am glad to keep coming to it over and over again through the years! So many good memories here with friends and colleagues. I am glad the staff is nice and greet when you walk in and the service is always prompt. My go-to is the bowl or burrito and the rice is always my favorite part of a chipotle meal. This location is one of the worst when it comes to chipotles in San Antonio. They skimp out on portions and the staff is rude overall, nobody ever seems to be smiling here. I came to order the same burrito I always do and they had no steak ready to go so I patiently waited about five minutes for some fresh steak to be ready (while my burrito sat there open with rice and beans getting cold by the way). I didn't even bother asking for a fresh burrito since they were busy and I didn't want to make a big deal, but then the lady who scooped the steak onto my already cold burrito didn't even try to get a good sized portion on there. When I asked to get just a bit more (like the normal portions usually are) she declined and said it would be a double protein price even just for a bit more. Had to ask a manager to eventually get a bit more steak on my burrito. After the whole thing was over she looked over at the cashier and chuckled like it was funny, only thing funny about it is declining somebody a good portion on an already overpriced burrito. They also conveniently "forgot" to give me my vinaigrette with my order, which I didn't realize until I got home to eat. Every 18 months or so we convince ourselves that this location isn't really that bad and that we want Chipotle just bad enough to try again. And every single time it's some new fresh hell being hurled from behind the counter. Today I made the unforgivable mistake of taking the bag of food from the cashier as he handed it to me. Unfortunately, not all of the food was in it yet, as was made abundantly clear by the supervisor standing by for just such indiscretions. She then grabbed the missing burrito and spiked it Gronk-style into our bag, hard enough to crush the bowl on the bottom. This is a broken franchise and needs cleaned out, top to bottom. No carnitas left, so ordered chicken and one tortilla has 2 pieces of chicken on it. Listen--I love Chipotle as much as the next person, but this location has more issues than I can count on one hand. I wish it was just the stale chips and half-empty serving bar, but unfortunately the words "health code violation" have sprung to mind on several separate occasions. If the 1.9 rating doesn't turn you away, let me add a few fair warnings. I drive out of my way to avoid this location and though it's only 5 minutes from my home, I would rather visit any other Chipotle in town. From the unfriendly staff to frequent inventory issues, dependably dirty tables/floors and lines around the block, it's hard to chalk the issues up to anything other than poor management. My final straw involved a queue of guests standing on top of soaking wet floors while the staff neglected a bucket of dirty mop water in front of the register. Or was it the staff member yelling at patrons waiting for their online orders to "get back and out of her way?" Turns out it's all the above. Save your sofritas! POOR. We did an order online. Pick up said 6:40. 6:49 it finally was ready. We watched 6 people walk in , order and get their food quicker. Then we get home and check the order. It's completely wrong. My husband can't have beans or dairy. They put beans , no veggies and on mine they added things i did not request. Plus it was cold. I have called 3 times where it even says " thank you for calling us back since the call is recorded" they sent me straight to that store number and no one is answering. To the two lovely ladies that were working the line today on November 8 at 2:20 PM, you two are complete rock stars!!!!! A line had quickly formed all the way to the door and these girls were knocking out orders back to back and were so kind and were so friendly. I could see that those girls were definitely struggling, especially since a good portion of their coworkers were just sitting on the side, watching them run everywhere. How did this Chipotle run out of food at 7 p.m. on a Thursday night?! At my last visit on 1/18/2024, I said to the cashier, "Are your serious - no chips?!" He said they had "chips for online orders only." I felt that was unfair to have waited in the long line to order my bowl with skimpy portions, and not have any chips to accompany it. The customer in front of me was disappointed when an employee stepped away to look for lettuce only to come back and say they no longer had any left. During my previous visit, the employees were more generous with pre-pandemic level of servings! During my visit before that, the contents in my bowl were again barely to the rim. I reported that visit on ChipotleFeedback.com, but I did not receive a response. Hopefully, Chipotle pays attention on Yelp and Google. I will give an extra star because the employees are nice and patient, but they are trained to decrease servings as evidenced by their shaking food off the serving spoon! Anyway, this is the most convenient Chipotle on IH-10 West while on the way home. I agree with other reviewers that this location is a hit or miss. Literally worst customer service of my life. I literally go to chipotle EVERY SINGLE DAY and I decide to give this chipotle location a try WORST DECISION. First off they are supposed to open at 10:45 and they don't unlock the door till 10:52 which is whatever but there was multiple people trying to open the door and half gave up so they're losing customers. I get in line and the guy helping me is burning a tortilla. I give him time to reconcile and he asks what I want. I tell him burrito and bowl to go he says bowl to go. Whatever he misheard me we carry on. I say extra white rice please gives me half a scoop for both of my orders. Gives me small portion of proteins. Whatever I care about the rice. I say can I get some more rice he gives me a sprinkle. I say can I get some more literally gives me a single grain of rice more. The same thing happens when I'm trying to say extra cheese. The whole time this is happening and I'm trying to order the employees are having conversations with each other. I tell the guy five times I want a side of medium and he doesn't do it I have to tell someone else. And then I bag my own sour cream and walk out. Oh honorable mention the guy tells to the girl punching in the order what I have and goes bowl extra cheese extra rice, burrito extra cheese extra rice as if they were gonna charge meIts almost like he was shaming me for wanting extra. Went in for dinner around 7pm and one of the employees was yelling really loudly across the restaurant, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. She blamed her coworkers in front of customers for everything going wrong, which made the environment feel chaotic and unprofessional. As a guest, it was unsettling to be yelled at and to witness such poor team dynamics. This location is a MESS. Every time I visit not a single employee has good customer service. None of them look happy to be there and they all move so slow. There is no efficiency which explains why this location is always out of something. Today, I waited in line for 10 minutes for them to tell me they were out of chips. The whole reason I went was for chips and guacamole. Nobody apologized for the wait or the fact that they were out of one of their most popular items. There have been other times that I have visited this location and they've been out of different types of meat. I always chalked it up to the fact that they just didn't plan correctly. I've never been to this location, (until yesterday) but everything was great! I know there's been a lot of controversy about portion sizes, but even with a regular bowl (nothing double or extra), the portions were really good! The employees that were working were very nice, friendly, and welcoming. Just say please and thank you, treat everyone how you would want to be treated! The service manager and the Apprentice were by far the rudest managers I have ever experienced at a chipotle. I eat at quite a few Chipotle's and this one was the WORST ever when you consider customer service. I know this is not Chipotle standards and it saddens me to see how they treated all 12 of us who came through the line. The service manager had very low standards. Once the Apprentice took over, she made no apologies for her staff. At best she pushed a card to me after my transaction and said "here is my GMs card if you want to complain. The food was fresh but they had no steak on the line; nor was it laid on the grill. The chips were beyond stale. The manger should have tasted the chips prior to them being bagged. The food line was a mess (I have photos). I hope the Regional or corporate office speaks and trains this location on what high standards looks like. They were out of brisket, white rice, sour cream, pico de gallo, and corn. Three hours before closing and out of that many items. Excuse given to my wife was they were short staff. There were seven employees behind the counter. In addition, the tables were filthy. With seven employees in the store and not one could clean the tables and the store manager is unable to plan to prevent running out of food three hours before closing, I'd bet this store manager couldn't organize a two car parade! Yelpers beware of this location. Update tried it again online order. Got to this place at my scheduled ready time and my order but even started. Maybe 2 customers in the entire restaurant and 4 employees inside. Like another eater suggested, close this place down because the service sucks!! I would say clean house but no one wants to work anymore and they would either have to close down because they wouldn't be able to hire anyone or the service would be the same as it is right, HORRIBLE! read more

If you have dietary needs you think will be met, please don't risk going here. My sister and I have labeled ourselves as pescatarians (vegetarian but eat seafood) for years so when we go to chipotle we always get the vegetarian options. We are regulars at this location. We both chose to get sofritas (which is supposed to be vegan) and ordered thru the app. When I got home an hour later (9 pm) and started to eat, something tasted off for both of us. My sister noticed that her vegetarian bowl had chunks of steak in it. At first I thought a piece might have fallen into one of the other items she wanted. But then she noticed that half of her protein was steak, which was strange. I bit into my burrito and also tasted steak? And after unwrapping it noticed that there were multiple chunks. A lot of meat in two veggie orders can't be a coincidence. My brothers order was fine but he didn't get sofritas so we think that someone used steak to fulfill orders with sofritas, which is infuriating. When we called the person on the phone said "oh" and when we went into detail she said "sorry" without any sign of sympathy. We told her we would drive back to her. When we got there they only said they would remake our order without giving explanations that I asked for multiple times. Even then, when remaking the order she said half of what we wanted was gone. What kind of refund is that? I told her I wasn't comfortable with ordering again and had her write me a freebie to come by and get something, but I doubt I'll ever use it. I got home at 10:45 pm without a meal or proper compensation due to lack of sympathy. I'm so ashamed in this poor customer service and lack of treatment for mistakes they should take more accountability for. The manager rosa does not care for her customers with dietary restrictions. I feel bad for her other customers that went through this same experience just to be treated rudely. I am absolutely scarred by this experience. Getting my food here was great. they skimp out on the rice, but that was okay with me. Once we got to the register, KINAE was checking us out. she seemed a little stressed, but i try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, especially older people working in fast food. I asked her if i can redeem an entree and side queso with my points, and immediately her tone changed. she sighed loudly and started tapping her nails on the counter. i redeemed my entree, and before i could redeem my queso, she said my total. i told her i wanted to redeem something else, and she sighed again and told me she can't go back in her system and already submitted the order. i asked her the total again, and again she sighed, snatched the receipt from the machine and showed it to me, assuming i didn't know i owed a balance (obviously i knew that, we ordered two entrees). she was already annoying me, so i just laughed and let the side queso go, i didn't mind that i'd have to pay for it at that point. she then asked if id be paying cash or card, and i responded with "gift card". when she told me to tap or insert the card, i go to scan the gift card. she sighs loudly again, and says "when i ask you your payment, you said card" and i go "yes. GIFT card." she sighs, screaming for another lady in the back to help her. after we got the situation fixed, she threw the receipt in the bag for us and didn't say anything else. Placed my order online just to get to the store for them to be out of queso, chicken AND steak. Basically my whole order had to get changed. But not before me being told that the order I placed 20 minutes in advanced had not even been made (keep in mind they didn't even tell me they were out of those items yet). They had me wait inside the dirty restaurant that had lettuce on almost every table, and then finally came up to me to tell me they were out of the meats. We replaced them. Then the queso, but I didn't want a side of guacamole in place because I had already paid for a side. They said they couldn't give me a refund but I had to call a number. (Of which they STILL didn't refund me they just gave me a couple free chips and queso for the inconvenience). I get home to open my orders, one is fine but the other is missing the lettuce and the salsa. Then our guacamole has an avocado tag inside. Ok...the girl who served us, Rosa, seemed like she was focusing more on getting to her lunch break rather than serving us food. My boyfriend and I order a burrito, and if I didn't ask for more rice, mine would look like his...half the size of a regular size burrito. She would only give you LESS THAN HALF of a serving. We even asked for a side of guacamole, but she was rushing to go on her break that the cashier had to put on gloves to serve us the side. I've ordered my food through door dash last night between 8:00pm and received my order at 8:40pm. The food looked okay and smelled fine, it had everything that I ordered. Within 30 minutes to an hour of eating, I started to notice the feeling of intense body chills, dizziness, nausea, sweating from my palms and neck, and I experienced intense vomiting. This was the most intense feeling I've ever experienced, I've never had any issues with other chipotles except this location. I believe I had Foodborne Illness. I will never order from this location again and I hope this reaches everyone. read more
