I love this place! I am out visiting San Antonio Texas and I decided to try Bush's Chicken! The rolls are so soft and fresh! The chicken is amazing crispy on outside yet moist and flavorful on the inside. The fried chicken was not greasy and it was some of the best chicken I had here so far. My only downside french fries were basic and no ketchup or basic condiments nor a straw for two drinks this may be the Uber Eats driver but I feel like restaurant should have put these esstentials I the bag! Went there regularly. Yesterday, I got a diet coke. Tasted like hand sanitizer, or lotion, something like that. My sugar had crashed, so I couldn't take it back right away. Took it back today. Wow wow wow! What a difference! So much better than the borne location. Drive thru had two lines, the wait time for me to get all my food was less than 5 minutes, what a steal. Only issue is if you're new, its hard to really look at the menu until you're at the front but they take your order beforehand. Chicken looks good, taste good too. The liver gizzard 12 pcs is good here! Finally not too salty liver. I can enjoy freely, comes with gravy and a roll, the gravy here is filled up to the top!!!! My review is based on the their employment process. If I applied was because I needed the extra job to get extra income to pay my bills. I applied about maybe 6-8 months ago. I barely got a call for an interview around a little after mid February 2025. David the person in charge gave me the run around on when I would start after I was hired. I showed up 3-4 times to work and I would get sent home with an excuse that he messed up on the schelduing. The first excuse was they were waiting for my clock in number or pin. Finally, I was told they hired too many employees and that they would call me to tell me when to work. I waited too long, but obviously I wouldn't go anymore. Very unprofessional the way my hiring process was handled. They wasted my time and had me thinking I would work. When people apply for a job is because we need the job but this manager isn't trained at all.I hope corporate or the owner train their management employees on a proper way to hire people or manage their staff. I wouldn't recommend this location not even for buying food. read more

It's good, and since I'm really hungry I devoured the two pieces of chicken, was planning to put away the other piece for lunch the next day but ended up eating it all up. Decided to check this spot out after my Friend Dallas mentioned this is his go to spot every time he comes to San Antonio. Chicken was cooked very nicely . Flavor was there . Sweet tea was busting busting in a good way . Re filled my cup before we left . The Mac and cheese was a little watery for me. The only thing I didn't like was the how long it took to prepare my food. This is supposed to be fast food chicken spot . And it's not that we where waiting on fresh chicken to be made . I came for dinner on Friday night just to try out the chicken tenders. They were surprisingly very good. I liked the batter and the chicken tasted freshly fried. The cashier taking my order was nice, and a couple times during dinner staff came by to ask me if I was doing OK. Small service bonuses are nice details in fast food restaurants. The side I chose was mashed potatoes, and it tasted like the regular fast food ones. Everything came with gravy, which was perfect -- not too watery, not too thick. The bread was soft and warm. They also give you super tall, huge drinks similar to the Whataburger size. I really liked the different dips they have available on the table: hot sauce, ketchup, honey. It really beats opening this tiny package like most places and makes you feel "at home". Of course, it's probably less hygienic since its in a refillable bottle, but whatever! I would definitely go again and recommend. They serve food on a cheap looking foam plate, but for some reason it makes me feel like I'm at fried chicken picnic. What other fast food joint allows you to sit through your entire meal without having to move a finger, not even for a refill? Refills were provided by a friendly employee - they continuously checked on us to make sure we were OK, but not in an overbearing manner. They even cleared our table of empty plates. Sweet! Just like their tea :) Their sides are pretty mediocre, with their mashed potatoes having the consistency of instant ones and their fries being limp. But that chicken of theirs sure makes up for all of that. And their soft, buttery rolls too, smothered in honey that they conveniently provide on the table! Instead of their "serendipity salt" I like to sneak in a packet of Popeye's Cajun sparkle and sprinkle that deliciousness all over my chicken. Wowza!! Today I had the buffalo chicken fries (my favorite item on their menu) for delivery. My girlfriend had the 4-piece tender meal with Okra and sweet tea. Everything arrived hot and fresh and the portions are always more than adequate-today was no exception. The buffalo chicken fries is the perfect mix of spice and cool (with the buffalo sauce and ranch). You get cut up tenders, which have been tossed in the hot sauce, thrown over some fries and drizzled with ranch. AMAZING.
