I have a problem with the employees generalized serving attitude. There is no smile or hello. It's quick quick plop of food in to the bowl. It made me feel slow and frustrated that I didn't vomit the ingredients instantaneously that went in to the bowl. Inconsiderate staff, the staff workers would rather not serve customers in the building because that means they actually have to do their job. Felt neglected as a customer. The portions are small with barely any food, asked for a scoop of chicken got about five small pieces in my bowl. My friend asked for cilantro, or some other seasoning and then the worker said were out and he said then what did you season the chicken or fajitas with, and then the worker goes oh never mind and grabbed the cilantro or whatever seasoning he asked for. Had multiple signs posted saying that they will only take mobile orders, since there aren't enough people to work. Watched a terrible encounter, where someone's mobile order didn't work right and they had already paid, and the manager acted rude when he finally fixed it. The food was fine, it was what we ordered. This is just being added to the list of places where it will take at least 30 minutes for "fast" food, and the entire staff will treat you like an inconvenience for literally just wanting food. I wanted to try Chipotle because of their new plant-based chorizo. They said they were out, but they had another option. I asked if it was vegan. The girl rudely rolled her eyes and said it's tofu. Sometimes things made with tofu have other ingredients that make it not vegan, so I asked if there was anything in it that's not vegan. She said, "it's tofu." I again asked if there were any added ingredients that were not vegan, but I couldn't really get a straight answer. However, tonight one of the women working the line (had blonde hair, didn't get her name) gave my friend and I a really bad attitude and then proceeded to make our bowl aggressively and ignore what we actually wanted in it. She then yelled at us at the register, after the cashier was making conversation with us, "You guys are at a 10 right now and and I need you at like a 2 because I can't focus. Thanks." Like miss girl, your job is adding guac to a bowl and calling it good. It's better to order in person because ordering online guarantees you'll be cheated to low portions. Hop in line to wait your turn, or head on over to the cashier if you ordered via phone (the iPhone app is amazing). You will find options for a burrito or bowl. Choose from organic meats or a veggies. The guacamole is super fresh, as is all of the ingredients. And they serve beer. This is the best place for a filling vegan meal in Springfield, and the service is amazing, too. I have never experienced worst customer service at any other chipotle in my life. We waited in line for 45 minutes and ended up leaving. There were easily 6 workers there but only one was serving food and checking people out. She was also doing online orders at the same time while the rest of the staff was visibly laughing and chit chatting in the back. Finally after one other worker came out from the back they were just talking and NO ONE was getting served. It was like everything else was important other than serving the customers. Yeh! So happy Springfield has TWO Chipotle's. I love, love Chipotle and there is not one close to where I live. This is the first time I have eaten at the location on St. Louis in a good lont while. It was very, very clean and the "crew" helpful. For those who have never visited Chipotle - it is basically like a bar of "stuff" to add to your chicken or beef burrito or bowl, taco or salads. There are other items on the menu (I included a link to it), but I always get the chicken burrito. As you move down the line, the server adds whatever you like to your meal - brown or white rice, guacamole (extra charge), sour cream, cheese, beans (black or pinto), lettuce and my favorite the YUMMY salsa. Yes, Chioptle is a little more pricey than Taco Bell, but a thousand times better. Give it a try. Also, when it isn't FREEZING outside, there is patio seating which is very nice to sit outside to dine. Chipotle = Sweet! read more
