I received my food, nicely packed and sealed, and went home. My husband had the Carne Asada taco with chips and guacamole. He said the taco was delicious. I tried the chips (extremely salty) and the guacamole which was good. I had the Carnitas bowl. It was huge, very good for the price, and nicely made with everything I requested (black beans, brown rice, etc.). I wasn't thrilled with the amount of lettuce kind of smashed on top though. Would I order again? Most likely, yes, although I'd skip the lettuce. Ordering through the app & picking up was very convenient, especially in bad weather. I really wish I would have read the prior reviews on this place. The worst experience of my chipotle days!! I get the same thing every time. Bowl white rice, pinto beans, chicken and steak. Wish the lowest rating could be lower. Not sure if the manager at this location has "incompetence" as one of the required qualifications to get hired here but it seems that's the case. Every single time I order here to pick up, my orders are always wrong. Always the wrong type of toppings, wrong type of protein, sides are missing or the bowl is halfway filled. Chips are half the time old and stale, soda is not filled all the way up and the people have no sense of warmth. First off their customer service sucks . I dealt with two managers and both were rude. I had reached out to corporate because I bought the under portioned ridiculously expensive chips and guac. The guacamole that I received was brown throughout the cup. I threw it out. They gave me a free chips and guacamole to redeem. I went in and told them I had the voucher and two managers and the cashier had an attitude. The cashier wasn't going to give me any chips. The guacamole that I received was brown again. The rice in the food was undercooked. When I took it in to get it replaced the employee got a whole attitude and slammed the food in the trash can. His attitude was absolutely terrible. Rude. And his facial expressions were so mean! The heavyset Caucasian employee with a beard and a piercing might have actually been the most rude service worker that I have ever encountered. We walked in OVER half an hour before their closing time, and had a very normal order (3 entrées). He could not have been more obviously inconvenienced and annoyed by anything that we asked for. I've giving this 3 stars because the food I did receive was delicious However We were missing quite a few things in the bowls we ordered so we went back through the drive thru to ask about it and they said they were out of almost all vegetables. We also paid for a 22ounce drink and got a very small drink, maybe 8-12ounces? Our drink was replaced but the requests weren't met with the best attitude which I understand dealing with people and different attitudes all day is exhausting but I truly was trying to be respectful. When we asked for extra chips (since we didn't get A LOT of what we ordered) we were told they can't but that we can request a refund online. So maybe some better management to make sure all things are kept filled and they can check orders before they get sent out. Just some better communication would go a long way! Like other reviewers, I've given this location multiple chances to get it right. Since some days are a hit or miss for anyone, I thought that maybe I caught them on a bad day the first time... but three times within a few months?! That's unacceptable for a place that even has commercials on National TV claiming to be "fresh food" and "best guac". Neither of those statements are true for this Statesville location. The guacamole is hardly more than avocado. That's not the Chipotle guac I remember at other locations. Also want to point out that they're ALWAYS out of something. They were out of brown rice the last time I was there (well before lunch which is sad), so I just said white rice is fine. Got up to the register to remind them I wanted chips and guac. Said they were "out of chips" unless I wanted to wait 5 minutes for them to make some. Getting the vibe they were just being lazy since this was the SECOND item I had ordered that they were out of and likely had used that line the whole morning to keep from making them, I said I'll wait. I'm in no hurry. I paid, they made the chips and I went on my way. It saddens me to write this review and leave one star. I've been a chipotle fanatic since for over 10 years, with the ones in Charlotte and Hickory being amazing. If these are independently owned, something has got to change. Went there shortly after it opened. Guacamole appeared greenish gray. Ingredients and final product was nothing like Mooresville. I also don't like the fact that if you eat in the place, it is so cramped that the line is next to your table with people talking, sneezing, coughing, etc. over your food. We were excited to hear Chipotle was coming to Statesville, but like many restaurants and businesses here, if you don't have people with pride or even the know-how to make a place the best, you can count on poor quality. I came in with my wife and five kids and ordered cheese quesadillas and burritos. They told me I could order the burritos but I would not be able to order the quesadillas at the order counter but instead I needed to order them with the app due to the quesadilla machine being 10 ft to the left of the counter. They said " since the machine is over there you have to order the quesadillas with the app as an online order......." Are you kidding me?! So now I need to download the app and make an account while trying to entertain my 5 kids under 8, figure out how to place the order and then wait for it to be done!? This was by far the WORST Chipotle experience I've ever had! Myself, my husband, and our child came in 2 HOURS before closing and they had all the chairs up on the tables preparing for "closing". We asked the man at the register if the tables were open and he said "Yes, I'm not sure why they have the chairs like that". Then another family with children came in and the bus boy told the family that the tables were closed and they couldn't sit there. Note, this was 2 HOURS before closing and the restaurant was FULL and had a line of people.
