Checking in was easy, they send you a link for mobile check in which saves a tiny bit of time since you can upload a photo of your ID and then they just have to give you a key when you arrive. The room is spacious, with two queen beds, a microwave, and a mini fridge. There was a used washcloth in the bathroom of the first room I stayed in, which gave me the ick. The hair dryer in the first room did not work, so I had to leave in the morning with wet hair (not super ideal in January). The walls are very thin and I heard the person in the room next door coughing all morning. My second and third stays were better, with cleaner rooms. There is a pool and hot tub which I didn't check out. They used to have a complimentary breakfast station, but between my second and third stays, they converted that space to a 24/7 convenience store with snacks. Overall this is not the best spot, but it's a basic 2-star motel.

The bathroom even had a heat lamp which would be great for a cool visit. The pillows were some of the best hotel pillows I've had. I even slept with my hands between two of them! The casino was a good size with lots of slots, video poker and table games. They even had my favorite, Let it Ride. Although I didn't win, it was fun to play again as it seems to have just died out. The dealer was super friendly and talkative too, and not in an annoying way. Food options were good with nice options as well as a food court, sports bar, and coffee shop. It was enough where you didn't need to leave for a few days. I was there for a conference and the staff and food/drinks they offered were on the better side of average. While I wouldn't go out of my way to go here (i.e. a 2 hour drive from GRR airport), if I was in the area, or 30-40 mins away, I'd stop in again.

If you like big slides, there's only one, so don't have high expectations. Would not recommend staying here. Probably going to stay at the casino the entire time if/when we return.

The windows were filthy like a child with sticky fingers played finger painting on them - and the window was unlocked. No internet means no TV. The vending machines were empty. We got a bad feeling about it so we left. They said they couldn't issue a refund because we'd booked it through Expedia. We walked two doors down to the Holiday Inn. We got a very nice room and it was just $30 more than the dump we originally booked. One good thing I can say is they spoke with Expedia (we called them and they asked to speak with the manager there). The manager agreed to allow me to get my money back. I know the internet issue was not their fault, and they were very nice, but the place needs some TLC!!

The photos posted from other users are accurate. The beds are comfy, the bathroom appears clean. There's a fridge and microwave in room. A warm continental breakfast is provided but haven't tried that yet. The walls are thin so you will hear your neighbor's shower, or in our case, crying baby but blasting your a/c helps a little. Pro Tip: If you want to park your car and have a couple drinks later you could take the casino's shuttle to their water park across the street-which puts you in walking distance to this place. Our last stay here, there was a guy named Mathew working the desk. Absolutely amazing person!!! I will say though, unfortunately once we got to our room there was a very strong marijuana smell right when you opened the bathroom door which was NOT very pleasant. But since we were only staying to sleep a couple of hours, we didn't make a big deal of it. Other than that I'd recommend staying here. I joked the choice was due to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant across the street. Comfy beds, helpful staff, convenient ish location. The ish, I was just in town for a show at the Casino. I friend warned me to not stay at the casino, you pay for the convenience. So, this hotel is on the opposite side of town. Plus size, Mt. Pleasant really isn't that big so it's a 5-10 minute taxi ride to the venue. Getting a taxi back at 11pm was a bit of a boondoggle, watch for Stargazer yaci- way cheaper than Uber. Lol. Sadly, I left a pair of sunglasses (prescription, boo) and some cute cat earrings on the nightstand. It happens. I imagine that if you were in town for a Football or Swim event, this would be a great place to stay. I could see the CMU stadium and their aquatic center from my window.
