It was beautiful. We stayed at the resort. For a three day conference. Unfortunately the huge driveway and entrance was under construction. It was her first time there so we didn't know our way around. My wife had a conference her Business was putting on and so we brought a lot of things with us. We had to decorate a suite for over 30 visitors staying with us. The house cleaning staff was perfection. They made us feel very welcome. They were kind. They went out of their way to be sure to ask if we needed anything at all. That was great service. Rooms were comfortable and clean. But I don't think they were worth $350. Especially with the construction happening. It felt like we were losing a bit of the experience. Even the gift shop was closed. It was interesting to me because we are coming to see Rod Stewart in September. It was a preview to us and how things might be. I understand construction can take time and it's necessary. But nobody should pay a premium and get half of the experience. The casino was beautiful, but confusing. And confusing is not a good way to gamble your money. read more

I don't know what Michigan has to offer in the way of Casinos, but this resort in the middle of nowhere (to me, anyway) did the job well. They had plenty of parking, but wished they had better signage for Hotel Check In (it's on the right of the main entrance) The guest rooms weren't overly nice, but they had lots of buttons for the lights and shades which made it easy to turn everything on or off in the room. The bathroom even had a heat lamp which would be great for a cool visit. The pillows were some of the best hotel pillows I've had. I even slept with my hands between two of them! The casino was a good size with lots of slots, video poker and table games. They even had my favorite, Let it Ride. Although I didn't win, it was fun to play again as it seems to have just died out. The dealer was super friendly and talkative too, and not in an annoying way. Food options were good with nice options as well as a food court, sports bar, and coffee shop. It was enough where you didn't need to leave for a few days. I was there for a conference and the staff and food/drinks they offered were on the better side of average. While I wouldn't go out of my way to go here (i.e. a 2 hour drive from GRR airport), if I was in the area, or 30-40 mins away, I'd stop in again. read more

We were staying nearby and went to see the casino. It was way too noisy. So loud in the main casino room we couldn't think. We had to leave. I understand that for many people the noise adds to the "excitement ", but for those of us who live in a very quiet remote area it was very uncomfortable and disorienting for my wife. read more

Anthony is the worst dealer known to man. Not only is he nonverbal, he almost gets excited to see you lose. He once also made a snarky remark at me when I did not tip him. There's no expectation for me to tip, especially when you say absolutely nothing during my time at the table. Caleb on the other hand, is the best dealer at this casino. He's super cool, super friendly, and always trying to help you. Anthony and Caleb are like yin and yang. Hopefully this message doesn't fall to deaf ears. *REVIEW OF FOOD AND CONCERT VENUE* We came here for a Smashmouth, Gavin DeGraw, Matchbox 20 concert. From the beginning, it was a rough start but at least the concert was mostly okay, for the two bands we saw. Parking directions were ridiculous. We were pointed to a lot for the concert venue that was closed (there was a long line of people so it wasn't just us). So we had to park in the general parking lot with casino goers. It was a NIGHTMARE to leave. Over an hour of not moving after the concert ended. It was about 5pm when we got into the casino so we figured that we had enough time to eat. The tickets said 630pm which usually means when the doors open. WRONG! The concert started at 530pm apparently so we missed Smashmouth entirely. Soaring Eagle had nothing to say about it and the ticket vendor we purchased these from said that we needed evidence of the concert starting at a different time, which we had none. So essentially, we were ripped off by not seeing one of the bands. Again, not the only one. The food in the casino that we had (Bonanno's Pizza and Chicken Guy!) we pitiful too. At the pizza place, I got a calzone. Most of it was bread and after they "heated" it up in the oven, it wasn't even warm and because I touched it, they wouldn't throw it back in the oven. Also was overcharged for the marinara that was suppose to come with it. Chicken at Chicken Guy! was pretty below average. Barely any breading on the chicken and waited for 30 minutes for the order. Soggy fries too. Our seats for the concert were in the grandstand section. Sadly it rained at the beginning which was out of anyone's control, but after it let up the rest of the concert was really nice. Great sound and lights. Need more security walking around though, a lot of people very intoxicated and needed to be removed. For how flashy this Casino/Resort looked online, I was not impressed. Also, barely any cell coverage in the casino with Verizon. Concert venue, nothing at all. Seems like a safety issue to me. read more

Casino day trip was fun. "Player's Card" was easy to get at customer service counter and comes with a $10 free play bonus on certain slot machines. Get the player's card before gambling to rack up your points and get comps for restaurants or future stays at the resort. Some of the video poker machines did not accept the Players card and some had sticky or hard to press buttons. Overall nice experience. Pretty interior design. Confusing walking through the casino, difficult to figure out where you are. Lots of security staff roam around. No smoking allowed inside. read more

Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort looks nice from the outside and is well-maintained. Our check-in experience with Sara was prompt and friendly. Our room was modern, nice, clean, and also very expensive (Saturday night). We had a mini fridge and room safe included in the room amenities. The casino & resort itself is well-maintained and very nice. The casino floor has a large selection of slots and table games. We are slot players and personally, the machines were paying out enough for me to keep playing, which is all I really strive for. My husband wasn't having much luck in that department. There were staff going around the casino and taking drink orders or had a cart full of beer you could buy. They also had available free soda fountains, water, and coffee that were easily accessible. Soaring Eagle also has a selection of onsite restaurant/food options. We ate at Ascend Sports Bar and Lounge which unfortunately was not good. The atmosphere is great and the service is good enough, but the food is not good freezer food. We had pickle fries which were decent bc they are fried pickles but you don't get many for the price. We also both had burgers/fries which were frozen patties and they tasted like it. The food definitely looks WAY better than it actually tastes. I cannot attest to food at any of the other restaurants. Overall, we had a good time at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. We stayed here on a road trip and if we were in the area I would stop here again, however, I wouldn't make a special trip just to go here. read more

I always enjoy myself at the Soaring Eagle Casino! Whether gambling in the main casino, playing bingo at the bingo hall across from the casino, or enjoying a nice so service, I've never been disappointed! I've been several times throughout the years, more recently a few weeks ago to play bingo, and I plan to go this month to play bingo again, that's how enjoyable my experience was! I also enjoyed my experience at the casino buffet, and plan to return to the buffet this month. I haven't tried any of the other restaurants at the casino, but I'm open to trying. It's been years since I've stayed in the casino rooms, so I can't speak to how the rooms are now. The Soaring Eagle Casino is nice for a little get away to have fun! Stopped here on our way up to northern Michigan for a ski weekend. The facility itself is very clean and a lot of options for games to play. It's smoke free which is also nice. This was First time at this casino. It's about an hour and a half 2-hour drive from our house. The casino had a lot of parking available, well covered and open. They do offer valet interested but there is a cost. I really enjoyed the Indian decor and all the eagles. Very tastefully done and classy. The Lobby was bright and we were welcomed when we entered. Big fireplace and seating area. Everything was well marked with directions on where to go. Check-In was quick. We did have to pay an extra $100 because it was a concert weekend so the room was around $400 for two queen beds with a view. Our room was on the third floor. There are a total of seven floors. We were close to the elevator but far enough away that we didn't hear them. Our room was bright, clean and well lit except for the bathroom. There was dust on the lighting and it smelled like urine. Our bedding and main room were clean and smelled fine so that was strange about the bathroom. There were many lighting and features that were new to me. For example We turned on a do not disturb from inside the room and it illuminated a red light outside the hallway so the stuff wouldn't interrupt us. Also the bathroom mirror was a night light that would turn on whenever you'd go into the bathroom and we took a shower. The center portion would not fog up. That was cool. Our room overlooked the pool and fountain. There was a wedding, a prom and our concert all in one day. It was a beautiful sunny, windy day, and all the tulips were in bloom so we had plenty to watch and entertain ourselves. The pool opened at 7am-11pm. We did not play in the pool this trip but definitely on the agenda for next time. We did a walk through the casino. Cameras everywhere! Wall to wall slot machines, gambling tables and people everywhere. This place was packed. I did enjoy that they provided free coffee and soda pop machines for patrons. Security staff everywhere and smiles on the faces of customers and staff. Very delightful! We will be back. read more

Came here for a Father's Day fun day. Met my soon-to-be dad/mom in law half way here. All games were interesting, some with way better odds than others. My fiancé and I had great luck on two different kinds of games. Sure we only really gained what we lost again and again but by the end we did end up leaving with an extra $50. Staff is present and around to help with any issues or concerns. The tables were pretty busy, they had a waitlist, which is probably normal. We went to ascend to eat, and the food was good. Portions are smaller than expected but prices are fair so I can't complain. I'm not a huge casino person and yet I had a blast here. Was a lot more chaotic here than when I've been to MGM. I just think the flow is lackluster here. People sit with their chairs out and don't leave a lot of walking space between games (with exceptions of the middle and outer pathways that are wider). We had a smaller room with 2 queen beds and there was ample room. Even impressed with the lighting options in the room. Numerous USB plugs to charge your electronics. Had fun gambling, good selection of Slots and they seem to pay out. We ate at "Ascend Sportsbook Lounge" I had 1/2 slab baby back ribs, very tender and a very large portion, taste was excellent. For Breakfast we ate at "Siniikaung Bistro" this also was very good. Pricing is very reasonable. First and Foremost, I like the hotel, the employees and the environment. That would be a 5star. The review is based on if you are a drinker and a food eater!! Beer on the "outside bars" Draft..4.25 BudL 16 oz x 4= 17.00$ and 64oz Bottle...3.25 BusL 12 oz x 4= 13.00$ and 48oz Plus a $1 tip according the the bartender without consent. This is minus tip which you have to "tip out" after every drink. Even if you sit at the bar and drink for 100 hrs, you are still priced out after every order. I asked at 2 of the 3 gaming floor bars. If you go to the restaurant bar, you can have a "tab". If you do not tell them a "specific" tip, they charge you $1. At least that was my experience from Bar 3. So let's say you get forced into the "1$" tip, those shitty Bud Lights cost you $21. Why I say "forced into" is because it happened to me without my consent. Bartender said, "you want to leave a tip?. Yes!" When the bill came, I asked "did I leave a tip?" They said, "yes"!. I added a $1 for your beer. If they charged you $3.25 "for bottled Bush Light, with let's say a "$1" tip, costing you $17. Which is high for the "$13" bill! 25% I believe. Is it acceptable? I am not mad at the bar service for trying to take there money. I was a bartender and I have family members that are bar/serves. Just a heads up for people that plan to drink at the bars inside the casino. Should a bartender that serves someone at the bar be given a large tip when all they do for this "specific" transaction, turn, grab, turn and give, then ask for the bill?!! If you think that you deserve to be served a 4.25$ 16oz Bud Light draft, then you are better than me!! Please invite me to your next cookout. Everyone will say, "then do not drink at the cadino". Worst stay ever, and they didn't even care to acknowledge my existence when I complained. The casino has been declining in service for years but this is the first time we have ever had difficulty with the hotel. We were kept awake from staff having an impromptu get together directly infront of our door. When we ask them to quiet down or move, since it was 1am, we were told they were handling a situation. The situation lasted three more hours and didn't require they do anything but share stories and jokes at the loudest possible volume. Slots are tight. People losing money are everywhere. The staff treats you like dirt unless you are a high roller. I witnessed a woman harrassed by staff and security because someone else left a small ticket in the machine she put hers in to play without realizing the ticket was there. She was threatened and staff made a spectacle of the woman and demanded "restitution" from her. She did not have the money to pay the small amount so they called the police on her like some common criminal. They would not even let her make arrangements to pay it, instead claimed she "refused to pay". I will never go there again, they are thugs and will sell anyone already drunk more alcohol with no concern for them driving and hurting someone. How do they get away with this? read more
