Win a truck!!!

I don't know what Michigan has to offer in the way of Casinos, but this resort in the middle of nowhere (to me, anyway) did the job well. They had plenty of parking, but wished they had better signage for Hotel Check In (it's on the right of the main entrance) The guest rooms weren't overly nice, but they had lots of buttons for the lights and shades which made it easy to turn everything on or off in the room. The bathroom even had a heat lamp which would be great for a cool visit. The pillows were some of the best hotel pillows I've had. I even slept with my hands between two of them! The casino was a good size with lots of slots, video poker and table games. They even had my favorite, Let it Ride. Although I didn't win, it was fun to play again as it seems to have just died out. The dealer was super friendly and talkative too, and not in an annoying way. Food options were good with nice options as well as a food court, sports bar, and coffee shop. It was enough where you didn't need to leave for a few days. I was there for a conference and the staff and food/drinks they offered were on the better side of average. While I wouldn't go out of my way to go here (i.e. a 2 hour drive from GRR airport), if I was in the area, or 30-40 mins away, I'd stop in again.

Love going to the concerts and just enjoying time with family. Drinks are nice priced.

Casino day trip was fun. "Player's Card" was easy to get at customer service counter and comes with a $10 free play bonus on certain slot machines. Get the player's card before gambling to rack up your points and get comps for restaurants or future stays at the resort. Some of the video poker machines did not accept the Players card and some had sticky or hard to press buttons. Overall nice experience. Pretty interior design. Confusing walking through the casino, difficult to figure out where you are. Lots of security staff roam around. No smoking allowed inside.

If you're looking for a nice resort to unwind for the weekend or get into the casinos, then this is a place for you to try. They changed the soaring Eagle restaurant to a Ruth Chris restaurant which will be opening up in a few weeks. There's also a water park right off the exit before you arrive to the casino. Great place for a family weekend. It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from metro airport, but worth the drive!

Really nice rooms! We like the whole experience at Soaring Eagle. Pool is great and the outdoor hot tub is great in the winter.

This is mainly a review for the food court. Not recommended. Heard about someone getting sick after eating there. The casino was ok.

I went with a friend, it was pretty fun except for the fact we all were feeling unwell after staying in the water park.

Very friendly, personable staff. Good food, beautiful rooms, a lot of extras besides gambling. And of course it always helps when you win!

Over priced on most everything and the machines seem to be really tight. No servers on the floor that I saw.

I don't feel the sort of underlying sadnees that seems to linger in all of the Detroit casinos.

Oh Michigan - you do like your camping in the summer. We have fallen into the RV-5th wheel club…read moreourselves and love it. Especially when you find a campground like Soaring Eagle Hideaway. We saw a billboard for Sugarland playing at the casino, on our way up to Traverse City (another camping excursion). A quick mobile search and I also discovered the campgrounds. A little more per night for weekends and concert nights, but oh so worth it for the full hookups and services. You have to call to book a site but each site is a concert pad, with picnic table, grill and small fire pit with grate. Full hook ups include 30/50 amp service, sewer and water. Score!! Don't have to worry about quick showers or doing dishes. We could have stayed a week, but it was only three days and two nights. They have a very nice lake for campers and a big lake float for kids to jump. Kayaks and canoes to rent. A pavilion for gatherings, and even a community fire pit if campers want to get a jam session going. The casino shuttle is 24/7. It runs every 15 minutes to take you to the casino until 11pm, but will be available to bring you back to the campgrounds anytime - just call the number. We didn't have to worry about driving and parking on a Friday night (concert parking too). We were dropped and picked up at the door. Barely a wait on either trip. The Park has a small store with necessities and fun stuff. The shuttle will also take you to the water park but that is a separate charge (very kid-centric). Campers have comp use of the hotel pool and sauna; just check in at the desk and they can see your reservation at the campgrounds and give you a pass. LOVE LOVE LOVE - we will surely be back soon.

Great find!! Beautiful park located on the shores of a private lake. Sites are concrete and quite…read morelevel. Each site is equipped with a BBQ, fire pit, and picnic table. Sites are surrounded by mowed grass. Canoe, kayak, and paddle boat rentals are available on site, and no fishing license is needed. Clean restroom and shower facilities, and onsite laundry. Free WiFi available; we were surprised to find it was FAST and reliable! Hubby is retired military, and we were offered a 20% military discount. Will definitely return!

For what it is, it's fine. I just needed a place to crash between shifts for work so I booked a few…read moreone night stays at this motel. I misremembered it as being the same one that I stayed at previously (which is next door), oops. Checking in was easy, they send you a link for mobile check in which saves a tiny bit of time since you can upload a photo of your ID and then they just have to give you a key when you arrive. The room is spacious, with two queen beds, a microwave, and a mini fridge. There was a used washcloth in the bathroom of the first room I stayed in, which gave me the ick. The hair dryer in the first room did not work, so I had to leave in the morning with wet hair (not super ideal in January). The walls are very thin and I heard the person in the room next door coughing all morning. My second and third stays were better, with cleaner rooms. There is a pool and hot tub which I didn't check out. They used to have a complimentary breakfast station, but between my second and third stays, they converted that space to a 24/7 convenience store with snacks. Overall this is not the best spot, but it's a basic 2-star motel.

I accidentally left my good water bottle behind. The front desk girl, Angel, who is such a sweetheart, called and told me it was there. It would take an extra hour to get it, The manager told me he could ship up at my COST. After paying more than we should have and dealing with all that I lost it and told him to shove it and I will never be back!!! Rant over
