The thermostat did not work at all. Their TV system only seems to pickup about four stations, and never the ones we wanted to watch. There was no towels or sheets or pillow cases. We had to go ask for them. It seemed like a great inconvenience to the person in the office. They had to get the oldest, most worn out towels and pillow cases they had. They charged us $10 for for the Wi-Fi password for really bad Wi-Fi service. The pillows were the most flat things we ever saw. Why bother? The one large bed and the pull out bed both had springs to stick in your back. The bathroom had no working lights so a worker put in one new light bulb, we needed two. All the other lights were very dim, could have been dirty light fixtures. You will not want to take a shower in that bathroom. It is dirty, has cracked tile and rust stains all over. We reserved this place through Hotels.com, paid for and have email receipts of "paid in full." But they said Hotels.com is wrong and we owed them another $32 added to our bill. This is a very shady way to do business and we would not recommend this place to anyone. It's dirty, needs light bulbs and fixtures, needs repair and they will charge you for anything they can get away with. Also, to rent the pontoon boat parked out front was another $120 per hour! What a rip off. This place stinks!

They have something for all your fishing needs at the bait shop along with souvenirs! We stayed in "The Beach House" This is a small but very adequate place with 2 full bedrooms with Queen sized beds 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room with free WiFi, cable TV, hide away bed in couch, dinning room with Lake View, Huge Deck leading down to a fenced in yard with Fire Pit and Weber Charcoal Grill, and just a very short walk to the boat docks! If you are looking for a relaxing place Up North that is on the lake and will Not Break The Bank to Stay there! This is the place to go! The Air is Fresh and Clean! It is very peaceful and the staff is exceptional! Someone in our family (Not Sure Who) accidentally threw away some laundry clothes in the trash. We called The Crooked Lake Resort and asked them if they saw a white garbage bag with blue strings laying around somewhere and explained our dilemma. They called my Son's girlfriend back and said Yes they found it after going through all the trash at the resort! Wow! That is the Best service I have ever had from any Resort! The front office is full of barking, yelping little dogs; to the point you can't talk. Outside are two cats who appear to have mange (owned by the owners). The rooms? Initially the screen door locked me out for no reason and the owner makes no apologies. The carpets smell like saturated wet dog, there's cobwebs everywhere, TV and barking dog blares in your room from the neighbor next door, the shower and shower curtain were completely dirty/muddy and full of soap scum. There was white crap (maybe just dog slobber?) spewed all over the brown blanket on the bed. Honestly, it WAS that bad!! The owners were completely rude when I politely asked for something cleaner, telling me to get a refund. (I guess the answer was "no, they couldn't accommodate). The only good thing was that I got 1/2 the money back. Insanely awful!!!
