Mike Ulloa, the owner, arrived promptly as scheduled at my house to pick up my broken PS3. I wasn't sure what was wrong with it (power supply, yellow light of death, or motherboard!), but Mike assured me that they could fix it, regardless of the issue. He wasn't boasting. Not only did my PS3 come back as good as new, Mike was more than willing to answer my frequent questions and fill me in on how the repair on my PS3 was coming. Having dealt with Sony's PS3 repair service, this was a blessing for me. Mike explained that my system's power supply was okay, and that they needed to re-ball (resolder) the processing chips. However, he called a day later to let me know that the problem was more serious. Still, Mike held to his original estimate for repairing my system, replacing the motherboard and re-balling the processor chips all for $175 (make sure you get the coupon from their website). Even though Getteck does hundreds of repairs, I felt like Mike took a personal interest in my work order. You'll never get that level of customer service from Sony. Also, just like Sony, Mike said that Getteck guarantees the repairs it makes. And Mike is local! If you need PS3, game system, or PC repairs, you can't go wrong with this company.

When i went in i was told it was confirmed MOBO was fried, so i ended up buying a rig they had built in the main area for around 550 bucks. When i went to pick up the computer things were added a sound card that dated back to early 2000's 2002 to be exact this thing was worthless yet was trying to charge me 30 bucks for it, even proceeeded to try to keep my old computer which i took and a buddy and i decided to figure out where the issue was first test on ram and it was one bad stick. So he basically lied to make a sell and was going to keep my old parts to rip the next person off. This was confirmed from people were his friends back in the day said he preyed on folks he thought knew nothing, well he ripped off the wrong guy. Steer very clear of this business they are not reputable at all. Shame he/they legally own a business at all.

The tech who arrived (within 30 minutes or so) was very friendly and efficient - he knew just what to try and in fact his first attempt got me back up so that I could back up my files until we figured out a permanent solution or repair. I have an external drive, but he came prepared to handle things if I didn't have something myself (which some people might not) - I appreciated that too! He was knowledgable, generous with his time and advice. Faster, more effective service than I ever got working in a company with an IT department down the hall!!
