I have been very active most of my life from exercising and various outdoors activities. I started to feel a pinch in both my shoulders and just continued to do the normal activities. With a heart as big as his smile, Dr. Seth not only devotes his practice to "fixing" every little ailment or affliction that his patients endure, but also putting their bodies on the right path to whole body fullness and well being. I've been to a few different chiropractors over the years, and Dr. Seth is the best. He is extremely knowledgeable, willing to answer all questions, and really listens to what you say, which is so important when your in pain. The initial exam is the most thorough exam I've ever had, literally measuring movement all appendages, along with blood pressure checks, heart rate, etc. However the real test of a great chiropractor is how you feel afterward. I went in for an injured neck, and leg from a bad fall in Jiu Jitsu. By the first appointment I was feeling much better, by the third appointment I felt like a new human -- meaning that over the years I had been compensating for pain by shifting weight from one side of my body to the other, it hurt to sit up straight, or work at my computer for any period of time, and my right side of my body was wound like a tight wire. By the third appointment I was actually standing and sitting up straight again, I was crossing my legs less, I felt more in tune with my body like a giant weight had been lifted from me. The in-house masseuse (who's name I can't remember) was excellent, and was able to work out the massive knot I had around my right shoulder blade. As many people have mentioned the front desk staff is amazing, caring, also very knowledgeable about the profession, and a masterful at handling the paperwork. Two months have passed since I was last there, and I'm still feeling the results of being balanced. After falling down some stairs, my lower back issues (degenerative discs and arthritis) launched my existing condition into unbearable muscle strain that affected my neuromuscular system. At times I found my brain not communicating with my legs. Dr. Seth was able to identify the proper trigger points to open the path of communication again. I had the most wonderful experience with this AWESOME man - Dr. Seth. Now mind you, he didn't perform his service on me but on my 4 month old grand daughters (Twins). Seth Mittelman, D.C., is the owner of this business. Seth is interested in and knowledgeable of his craft and renders relatively decent service. In between dropping celebrity names during my initial consultation (and only visit), he seemed truly enthusiastic about his work. However, his staff certainly is not. A note of caution: Beware their "add-on" billing for items they do not up front describe or explain as non-billable [to insurance] services. In particular, they utilize what they call a Cold Laser. Seth used this on me while I was lying supine on his table and not in a position to question what I thought was his expertise. However, as I stopped by the front desk on my way out, his receptionist claimed that I had to pay extra for that service. As I explained to the inconceivably rude billing woman who sat next to her, the fact that while waiting an hour and a half for my first appointment, they showed me a three-minute video clip of a news broadcast from an unknown TV station in Arizona that touted one newscaster's own personal experience with a local cold laser treatment... does not constitute their office providing me with any actual data about their Cold Laser treatment. Because I was vocal about not being informed of the laser treatment and requested that the office remove that fee, I never once heard back from them. While I am not at all surprised that the office staff never once followed up with me, I was very disappointed that Seth himself -- who spoke so highly of his practice and of how much he "loves" all his patients -- never once bothered with a follow-up call to me. The bottom line? Do not go there unless you're a lonely middle-aged woman looking for 20 minutes of faux attention paid to you and your body or unless you are a celebrity looking to have your name used as an unpaid marketing spokesperson for his business. read more
