I see that I'm not alone when I say that the front desk woman- Sandra is rude and actively unhelpful. She takes personal phone calls on her cell phone to her friends in the middle of our interaction. She was sitting out in the lobby with her friends instead of behind the desk. She actively prevented me from receiving a print out of my care, quoting that it's the business' "policy" to have the "main doctor" read and sign off on all the care thus far before she can print it for me. I told her that I already spoke to the manager of a different location and was told by a supervisor that that is NOT the policy of "Joint." She was preventing me from my own medical records, preventing my health care, and would not tell me when the next time the "main doctor" would be in- only that the "guest doctor" that was there now did not have the authority to "sign off." She told me I could only pick up my records when SHE was working- NEXT WEEK because that's just "the way it is." Meanwhile, a lovely supervisor from a different location let me print and pick up the records within the hour. I am canceling my account with Joint and will never recommend anyone else goes here, at the off chance their very private and personal medical records be held hostage by Sandra, just because she wants to feel important. read more

Poor scheduling and lack of transparency will keep me from coming to this place that I was actually really excited about giving my business to. New patient walk in - came at noon, was told I would be seen before lunch. Told at 1:30 that I wasn't going to be seen until after lunch. To me, that's pretty bad business ethics. I've been coming to this office for over a year for my 9 year old son. I have only the highest praises for Dr. Edwards. He is amazing with my son. His approach with my son always leaves feeling better. What we love best is how attentive and caring he is. Dr. Edwards is very kind and really takes his time with my son. He's not only professional but also personable and spends time talking to him and encouraging him in his interests. My son does a lot of art and always brings his newest pieces to the office. It's a walk in only clinic which I love because my work schedule is inconsistent and scheduling appointments is difficult for me. There are multiple Drs. that work here, so depending on the day it may vary who get. My first interactions were with Dr. Manfree who is so kind and caring. He helped me with my chronic neck pain by getting me back into alignment. For about the past year Dr. Edwards has been incredibly helpful with my tune ups and my shoulder injury. I also really appreciate that he educates me on lifestyle changes that are beneficial for my health. This is my favorite location besides the Rosemead one. The guy manning the front desk on the weekends is awesome!! One of the main reasons why this has became my fave location. There's never a wait and my daughter is in and out within minutes of checking in. For anyone that is new to The Joint, it's meant to be a quick in and out spot. A fast food for adjustments! And because of that it's not for everyone. I've been taking my daughter to the chiro for over 4 years now and for me, I know she just needs an adjustment, no chiropractic consultation, no X-ray & no massage. You let the doctor know how you're feeling then bam he works his magic and you're done in less than 10 mins! They have some really good deals as well, since my daughter is under 18, I pay $39 a month for 4 adjustments, with a 2 month commitment. This is going on our 2nd month and we're still going to continue with the plan indefinitely! Also, with the plan you are not tied down to one particular joint, you can go to anyone! More concerned with your legal status then status of your health, don't get me wrong i understand it's company policy not to treat patients that are under care from another dr be it from an accident or workers comp but when your in pain it would be nice to have someone help eleviate some of it. I've been coming to the Joint for about a year now to combat the natural wear and tear on the spine and surrounding muscles that an active life-style brings. Visiting once a week keeps me in top shape to keep bringing my all at the gym and other activities. I tweaked my shoulder blade and neck so I claimed the 1st time 29 dollar visit. The lady at the front desk was so sweet however when I saw the Chiropractor he didn't so much worry about the current issue I was having which was pain but was more so interested in treating a more of a long term situation. Which I mean I guess would help but at that moment I needed treatment for my shoulder and neck, once he realized I wasn't going to join the membership (he suggested a plan that required 2 month payment down) he cracked my back & neck but did nothing for my shoulder ... which is the only reason I went. He just didn't seem genuine and really did not care once I declined the membership. So I payed 29 bucks to get my neck cracked I guess but nothing for the reason I went in. So I guess if you want over all better posture this membership wouldn't be bad but seems to only care about the money first, patient second. read more

I came in around 1:20pm. This clinic only takes walk-in appointment, I drove all the way here to get adjusted. But the front office staff said that they can't take me even though their lunch is at 2pm and they have a new patient. I have been paying monthly fee and the other joint chiropractor place (on Rosemead) told me that the old patient still comes first because there is only walk-in appointments (they don't allow us to make appointment). So I have to come back after their lunch hour at 2:45pm while I have another appointment, I only come for the doctor here who is very good at adjusting but this system where we can't make appointments and even though it is supposed to be walk-in appointments, the front office staff rejected me and don't want me to wait for the next appointment. I felt that she just want to take her lunch but it is at 2pm. My appointment usually only last about 5 minutes. I don't understand if she wants me to drive back and forth and rush to my next appointment; this is very inconvenient. I said I can wait but she said they have lunch at 2pm. She said she does not want me to wait but what is the point of walk-in appointments if I already come in before the lunch time at 1:20pm. Updated review: I went back to the clinic; I added two stars because the doctor is great! I have to be late to the other appointment. However, the doctor was really good at adjusting. Though the walk-in appointments do take a long time and I wish we can make appointments in advanced. read more

It was my first visit to a chiropractic doctor. My experience today was unbelievable, I can move a little better all over. Looking forward to returning tomorrow for more treatments. I went in open minded and somewhat optimistic, but the doctor made me feel completely comfortable and described everything he would be doing to me. I just wanted to give my honest opinion and review if this place for anyone that finds themselves in a similar situation, I'm a construction worker by trade and found my self in some pain after i slipped and fell of a small ladder . It wasn't too big of a deal because all i felt was some discomfort when getting in and out of my car or trying to tie my shoes .. i decided to give this office a try and was amazed at the price , cleanliness and level of customer service that i revived when going there .... I've been there multiple times and all of there staff is amazing ! I usually go to a chiropractor when I have a stiff neck and it's no big deal. I had a strange feeling when this guy almost immediately went to crack my neck with little to no therapy (heat, etc). He seemed very nervous and not sure what he was doing. The pain was immense, I told him it hurt. We did some massage therapy with a tool and he tried again, still immense pain because now my body was in fight mode. Left in tears, neck is as bad if not worse, and will not be back. Going to my old chiropractor who told me he sees so many more patients now because of these of places. You get what you pay for. Update- saw a licensed practitioner of over 40 years. It is going to cost me several hundred dollars to fix what this guy did. Apparently when people go to The Joint other practitioners are fixing the injuries these bozos have caused.
