I stumbled upon Chiropractic Wellness at Oktoberfest in Campbell. I checked out their booth and signed up for their discounted consultation/nerve scan/X-rays. When I reviewed my scans with Dr. Martines, we uncovered a lot of subluxations in my neck and back (my scans had a lot of red). My X-rays showed my untreated scoliosis and the bone spurs/curvature in my neck. Happy to say that 4 months later, my scans show no signs of red, and my neck/back feel so much better. I used to get really bad headaches at the base of my skull and I used to blame having too much caffeine, but now I can confidently say it was from the subluxations that needed to be worked on. Dr. Martines is a great teacher in this space- he really helped me understand my neck & back, and put me on the right treatment path to help me with my specific problems. I had an overall good groupon experience with Dr.Martines and the staff. I pulled my back really bad on Thanksgiving day in 2021, and was looking for a solution for my back correction, since it hadn't felt the same since. I opted for the chiropractic package with 4 adjustments, digital nerve scan, and comprehensive full digital X-rays. First meeting did the digital nerve scan, x-rays, and consultation. I came back a few days later to review the results and do my first adjustment. I had tried a few chiropractors prior, and was definitely looking to utilize another professional's point of view and assessment. I appreciated Dr.Martines' feedback. During this session, Dr.Martines went over his recovery plan for me. There was a pretty hefty price tag for a few grand, so I needed some time to review and he understood. I came by the next few weeks to use the rest of my adjustments part of the Groupon package. I told the team I needed a few more weeks to decide if I wanted to go with their treatment plan since I was in the middle of a new job, so I needed to see what my insurance could cover. Chiropractic Wellness does take insurance, but Dr.Martines mentioned that there wasn't much of a discount unless it was with another large provider (forgot the name, could be Kaiser). After reviewing my new insurance, I opted to look for another provider since CWC was out of my network. Also, me personally, I was not a huge fan of the short adjustments, in/out in a few minutes. CWC was also a bit out of the way for me to get there, and didn't make much sense driving wise. Shoutout to Nadine for helping with the scheduling and being very responsive and helpful. I do the yearly plan and it also includes X-rays and nerve scans which for the price I think it's worth it. I just think that the receptionist staff needs to be a bit up to par. I've been visiting Dr. Martines at the Chiropractic Wellness Center for a bit over a month and I'm already feeling relief from my pinched nerves. I'm in my early thirties but already I have a severe arthritis in my neck pinching the nerves that feed my right arm and my arm had been going numb. Since receiving adjustments here a two/three times weekly about a month or so ago, I've had a significant reduction in my symptoms and look forward to see how much better I'll feel in 5 months. I'd recommend Dr. Martines to any and everyone who has considered chiropractic adjustments, even to people who've never thought about it! Not only does the office provide physical corrections, they also invite patients to attend an array of other healthful services and workshops. I developed lower back pain in June of 2022. That quickly turned into Sciatica in my left leg. Going to the ER was a waste of time as their only solution was to do X-Rays and give me Pills to mask the pain. I tried loosing weight, stretching and nothing would work. I had non stop pain plus a shock sensation from my glutes all the way down to bottom of my foot. Fast forward to September of 2023 | discovered Chiropractic Wellness Center thru none other than Dr. Martinez himself. The initial process was easy and thanks to his incredible staff you always have a way to communicate any questions or concerns. There's no price tag on Health so make sure you budget accordingly when pursuing this service. My package price was very fair. Payment Plans some insurances are accepted so that helps. Dr. Martinez was very understanding of my pain and explained the X-Ray results and explained what was causing the pain in the first place. When it came down to the sessions it was basic. I bought the 4 adj & Exam & X-ray. 1st sessions they took X-rays and did an exam. 2nd sessions which I thought was going to be a full session of adjustments it wasn't. I was there for 30 mins. 20 mins was the Dr. explaining all the things he saw 8 mins was him talking about how much it would REALLY COST ($5K) 2 mins were adjustments which did nothing it didn't even crack my back or hips. I began coming to Dr. Martines back in September 2013 due to injuries from a car accident in May of that year. He is professional, courteous, knowledgable and very helpful. Through consistent care I have gone from 3 visits a week to now one a week, and attend the workshops/seminars on a monthly basis. These seminars are intended. to give you tools to help you stay healthy as a whole person; body, mind, and soul. Dr. Martines has a Christian worldview, and may mention his beliefs that God designed our bodies to heal themselves naturally and that God wants us to be well, but that comes wirh the territory. If we could give this man a zero star we would, but our 1 star is knowing that he is TOTALLY unconscious. First, he has a VERY high turnover of employees and anyone who is awake and conscious, knows that it all starts at the top. We will not vote with our wallet with someone who mistreats his employees and we have heard about awful stories from HIS employees. Second, unfortunately, he really truly is all about the money. From the first visit I had with Dr. Martines besides being exceptionally professional he showed how much his patients health was his number one goal, he showed how caring and dedicated he is to his patients. When I went in I felt completely broken and misunderstood from a clinical Dr to a Psychiatrist Dr, with my whole body having pain. I was mistreated by other health professionals and pushed aside. Found this place on groupon (4 adjustments, exam, X-rays). I guess the best analogy for this place is a Chiropractor office with Speedy Oil change's philosophy, "Get in, get out, refer your family and friends." Going to a Dr. Office you want closed door privacy to talk and have Dr examine you. At this place everyone is in a big room with 8-10 people all lined up starring at the Dr adjust you as they wait their turn. No one would ask Dr any questions or engage in a conversation because they would be holding down the line and it's 7am and everyone has to go to work. Not the setting I would like to have my adjustment at (not Dr. Jeff's fault). Second, everytime you go in the front constantly ask you if you have any family or friends that want to come in. I said no 2 days ago and 5 days before that. I think my answer today won't change. Got really annoying. Got to meet the associate, Dr. Jeff. He's a pretty cool guy. Really smart, passionate, and outgoing. I had no problems with him. I had a really great experience with him. This 1 star is for the overall practice, not Dr. Jeff. First visit no adjustments, just X-rays and initial exam then ask you to come back with your spouse in a few days to review the x-ray findings. Next appointment before seeing Dr Jeff I had to watch a 7 min video about people having heart attacks every 20 seconds because of "subluxation." Overall, this office felt more like a clinic where they try to see as many patients as possible, which ends up bringing down the quality of care. read more

I have absolutely enjoyed my experience at Chiropractic Wellness Center. I was having chronic sciatic nerve pain that was limiting my ability to do really basic things. I began seeing Dr. Martines and within a few weeks I noticed substantial difference. Not only is the pain gone, but my posture has greatly improved which is helping me with other pain that I did not realize was actually manageable. I have seen many chiropractors over the year for scoliosis and various injuries, but this experience has been really different. I do not feel like they are just doing the same routine adjustments every time, Dr. Martines really targets trouble areas and helps to get symptom improvement both long and short term. The staff here is wonderful. TJ makes the office a really pleasant atmosphere to be in. I bring my 4 year old to appointments with me, and she is always welcome. The staff treat her and I like family, and my daughter genuinely looks forward to going to visit her "friends at the Chiropractor". One last note, I really appreciate the holistic approach that Dr. Martines takes to optimal health. He is a proponent of breastfeeding, and helps with craniosacral adjustments to help mothers who are having latch issues. He offers workshops for his clients about healthy eating and diet and exercise, all things he believes to be integral parts of your overall healing. After some insignificant movement I would feel a sudden seize in my spine like rubber bands stretching and breaking. Then I would be flat on my back taking flexeril and other prescriptions for a few days. I was having episodes about 4 times a year and becoming despondent about it. I was desperate for a cure. I received a free evaluation through a special promotion. The x-rays showed the problem and Dr. Martinez outlined a plan for me. I spent a year in Dr. Martinez care with intensive treatments 3 times a week to start, and then tapering off to once a week and finally I have chosen to go only as needed. I believe I was cured because I have never had another incident with my back and it has been eight years. Dr. Martinez provided workshops on topics like stretching and weight loss and nutrition. I still do the stretches he taught me to this day and believe that they have helped me to keep from having my back seize up. I do remember not wanting to go to the work shops because they were in the evening. I think it would be better if he videotaped them and showed them on a TV in his office while you waited for your adjustments. One of the guys from my Kaiser back therapy class also tried Dr. Martinez but he did not like having to go 3 times a week and preferred a quicker fix so he opted for back surgery instead. I'm glad that I invested that year because my back has been fine since. I don't even worry about it any more. My husband recently went to Dr. Martinez for an evaluation so I looked him up on yelp and was shocked to see the reviews. I thought that's not right, this guy cured me. I have to share my story too. Also:They used to give us "Heart Cards" periodically which would entitle a friend to a free evaluation. If you can get your hands on one of these you won't have to pay the $300. I came to Dr. Jeff with terrible neck pain that decreased my range of motion dramatically. I had already done extensive amounts of physical therapy and tried several different prescription medications, but my condition never improved. With Dr Jeff's care, my neck pain is history! I find I have so much more energy, I sleep better, and the migraines I once struggled with have not been an issue since I entered under his care. What really blows my mind, though, is that my seasonal allergies seem to have disappeared entirely! I later learned that nerve conduction issues in the neck area can be associated with upper respiratory conditions, such as hay fever. I once took daily allergy medications, decongestants, steroid nose sprays, and inhalers for my hay fever, but I'm off meds completely and SO thrilled about it. I have to admit, I was a skeptic of chiropractic care. I work for Kaiser, and I was raised and educated in the "medicate, operate" school of thought. While I still believe that serious medical conditions do require that approach, there is a lot to be gained from proper spinal alignment, and it may be the key to reducing the "medication cocktails" most Americans depend on daily. Dr. Jeff is compassionate, caring, and truly concerned for his patients' overall well-being. He's also such a hoot and so easy to talk to and relate to. I've been seeing Dr. Robert Martines off and on as needed for about 15 years. He is by far one of thee best Chiropractors that I know of. He adjusts using his hands and not all of these squirrely machines. When we moved away from the area and searched for another Chiropractor that could adjust as well as him, it was very tough to do. In addition, Dr. Martines is a super caring Doctor. I swear by this guy. He is both gentle and effective. He even adjusts my most precious people in my life, my children who are 2.5 and 4.5 years old. We were very close to taking our youngest daughter to get ear tubes because of reoccuring ear infections, but since she has been adjusted by Dr. Martines she has not had one ear infection! So I am actually quite taken back by some of the bad reviews on here about him, they are obviously those who have not been adjusted by him. THIS GUY IS THE REAL DEAL! Try him. read more

Note: I posted the following review about a month ago, but Dr. Martines actually threatened to fire my friend who worked in his office if I didn't take it down. She has since quit, so I'm reposting it now. === This was the most unprofessional experience of any kind I've ever had in my life. It is a good thing for these jerks that chiropractors don't have to take the Hippocratic Oath because they wouldn't recognize ethics if they hit 'em on the head. So I went in for my consultation last week and the chiropractor (I forget his name, but the younger of the two) took my x-rays and, after a short time, proceeded to tell me all that was going wrong with my body and mind as a result of my mal-adjusted back: he literally mentioned everything from brain function to incontinence. I'd come to realize later that this was part of his sales tactic: to scare the hell out of his patients so they sign a longer term deal, but more on that later. So today I have my first adjustment and actually, to my surprise, it wasn't all bad! However, this is when it got really f-ing weird. After my adjustment (mind you the first of 7 based on my groupon purchase) I go to the receptionist to book my next two appointments, which I do, but she (Nadine, I think is her name) starts grilling me about long-term packages. She wants me to sign a contract for something like $3000 out of pocket when I still have 6 adjustments left on my current deal and am still unsure about the doctor. I tell her this and that I want to complete this package and then look at my other options. Exasperated she goes and talks to one of the other doctors (Dr. Martines), who comes in and turns up the grilling level to about a ten. He tells me, literally, that they could not help me. Completely unprovoked and without any reason he starts laying into me about how they cannot do anything for me and that I should go somewhere else. I tell them I've already bought and paid for 7 adjustments through groupon and that I would like to continue with those treatments. He insists again, and even more aggressively, that they can't help me. I was freaking out, not really sure what was going on. Upon reflection, I realized that this is their trick and it is so obvious: They sell these packages on Groupon and then immediately get to work on selling the more lucrative packages to their customers. They break you down by telling you that you're basically on your deathbed and need their services to save your life (see: incontinence and brain function above). Then, even though you have 7 sessions already bought and paid for, they start pressuring you to to purchase another package after your first one. Once they realize that they're not going to get any more money from you, they attempt to cut ties by blaming you for their incompetence until you finally give up. They don't care if they look like assholes to you because they've successfully gotten out of doing expensive treatments at cut rate, groupon prices. To them it's a win. Not an ethical win, but these guys don't care about that. Anyone considering going to see Dr. Martines (on a groupon deal or otherwise) should take note that you'd get better, more ethical service from a used car salesman. This guy and his little girl doing his bidding at the front desk are seriously the sleaziest combination I've ever had the misfortune of running into. Please take this as a warning and visit one of the other more qualified, more professional chiropractors in Campbell. There are plenty! And to the young doctor: I hope you will find a better role model as you continue on your career. Response to comment: nice try, but that's BS. I have seen several chiropractors over the years that are quite capable and competent. Dr. Martinez is not one of them. My experience with Dr Martinez was not good and I would not recommend him. When I first went to see him, I was examined in a private room as was my consult. I asked to be adjusted in a private room and I was told that could be accommodated. Once I began treatment, it was in an open, public adjustment area. This included having my case discussed within earshot of other patients. I did not like his technique and felt that it did not truly help my pain. I felt that, despite practicing for many years he has one way of adjusting that does not take into account what an individual's needs are. This was certainly the case with me. Dr. Martinez requires these " seminars" for care. At the first one I attended, Dr. Martinez went on a lengthy speech about religion and that he fells Jesus wants him to be a chiropractor. I feel the staff is great but after my experience, I would discourage you from going. I would see Dr. Martinez on my own for my back but it would seem the pain would come and go. Then I got into a car accident and he took my case, did a whole bunch of unnecessary x-rays, back scans and adjusted me way to often as I still had pain in between visits. Then comparing my first case and my car accident case, he charged me triple the amount for my car accident case. I got a second option on my car accident case from another chiropractor and he agreed that Dr. Martinez charged me for things I didn't need and that were not necessary. There was no difference in between cases but why did he charge my car accident case 3 times the amount of my personal case? I agree with the assembly line practice. You get adjusted in front of an audience of people with no privacy. On several occasions I thought I was going in just for an adjustment and then to find out I sat in the waiting room for awhile and needed a back scan or x-ray. I was not told a head of time and this created a problem as it made me late to work on several occasions. COMPARE YOUR X-RAYS WITH YOUR DENTIST!!! Make sure there diagnosing YOU! I was referred with a certificate for free X-rays/consultation/nerve scan. I was told there was significant findings, to make a second appointment and return with my husband for the results. When I returned, I was put in the consultation room, they had my X-rays pulled up with my name and date. I immediately notice they WERE NOT MY X-RAYS!! Am an RDA in a dental practice and know exactly what's in and what is not in my mouth. I waited and didn't mention it to the chiropractor. I let him read the findings. He pointed out areas where I experience the most pain and indicated on the X-ray that it was due to my car accident (that I noted in registration forms). He was reading X-rays that weren't mine but coincidently this person had the same issues as I. Quoted 5k to fix me. When I told him that it was not my X-ray, he grabbed the person who took them and long story short, there was simply no explanation. I went along, did the free adjustment which felt great after just like any adjustment with any other chiropractor. careful people!!! Don't get tricked a costly treatment plan with lies!! I'm torn. On one hand, the staff is really friendly and helpful. On the other hand, I waited around for 20 minutes from the time of my appointment and finally left while waiting to be seen. No, I was not a walk-in. There are two adjustment tables in a room that is not private or separated from the waiting room. I walked out after waiting and didn't look back at the adjustment tables that resembled the massage chairs in the mall. Adjustments should be made in a quiet, private room. Tensing up while getting an adjustment is not good. It could easily happen while being distracted by people in the waiting room, or the dude next to you also getting an adjustment. read more

Okay, so I haven't had any treatments from Dr. Martines yet, but I had to write this review anyway. Years of competitive horse riding and water polo through college left my lower back in a wreck. I got out of my car wrong two years ago, and ever since then I've been dealing with severe sciatica. Several doctors told me ice and heat as well as ibuprofen would fix the problem. They never ran any tests to see the cause of this awful, awful pain. I researched sciatica causes on the internet and came across this wellness center. I figured it wouldn't hurt to give them a call and what do you know, I get to talk to the doctor himself! During my appointment, I was very pleased with the customer service, and also with the genuine concern and care these doctors showed me. They knew something was wrong and they actually ran X-rays and a nerve scan to figure it out. I was so happy that I might experience relief that I almost was in tears coming out of the office. I'm nervous to get my diagnosis, but I'm so grateful that I finally can get answers and treatment. These guys are awesome, and anyone with back or neck issues should give this place a shot. read more
