He is personable and cares about his patients. He is also very attentive and listens to all my questions. He even teaches me about why something may be occurring and shows me skeletal models while doing so. Everyone in the office is nice, courteous and professional. I change into a hospital gown for each visit. There are pre and post scans of the spine to ensure all is well. The technique is very gentle, but very effective in relieving pain. Had a good visit here. The doctor was calm and asked a lot of thoughtful questions about my symptoms and daily habits. They gave a pretty clear plan on what to try moving forward and walked me through some possible steps I could take. I was diagnosed with a ganglion cyst on my left wrist that happened due to a snowboarding injury. I've been a patient here for about 6 months now. It's been nothing but a great experience. Originally came in due to recurring lower back and hamstring muscle injuries when exercising. I live in South Carolina, and I was visiting my cousin in San Jose. With all of the travel and wrangling a toddler I did something to my neck. Here is the kicker-- I myself am a chiropractor. For some background: I work as a personal trainer specializing in joint health and improving mobility. I have been in touch with other chiropractors before, and I can honestly say Dr. Wu is hands down the best one I have been to. What sets Dr. Wu apart is his science-based knowledge, which he demonstrates by using several in-depth assessments, such as his static and moving X-Rays. He highlighted how my T9 vertebrae was not rotating along with the rest of my spine, which was causing nagging discomfort in my thoracic spine. He also exhibited through the X-rays how my cervical spine was severely lacking in curvature, which really opened my eyes in how much I have been in neck extension (too much looking forward and down). He explained how this could also be causing pain in my thoracic spine. Many other clinicians will just palpate and denote how something is "off". Dr. Wu was able to show how my anatomy/physiology was out of alignment with physical and scientific evidence. I cannot express how important that is to seeing results over time in conjunction with feeling better. I was a patient of Dr. Wu's from the summer of 2021 to the spring of 2023, before my husband and I moved across the country. I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Wu and the team at Icon. I played collegiate ice hockey, and therefore had shoulder pain (including surgery 4 years prior), hip and lower back issues. Dr. Wu provided an extensive exam my first visit before any adjustments were made, including x-rays and movement tests. He identified that I have a tilted pelvis and rotated sacrum, among some other issues. I signed up and started seeing him three times a week for a month, then twice a week for the next month, then once a week the following month. We did a 90 day update with new xrays and my xrays showed major improvements! I also felt so much better. Dr. Wu also addressed some other issues I was having. I wish I could give this business a 5 star because the Dr and staff are very nice but I didn't get any good results from their treatment. I bought their package 2 years ago which was I think 16 sessions and the adjustments were super quick on my back and I had only two neck adjustments totally even though I had a tight neck! I also bought their supplements but they were not helpful either. I'm going to another Chiropracter recently and got very good results and I'm happy with them. I am 25 years old and I came to Dr Wu for Neck pain. My first appointment we took X-rays and he let me know how the process was going to be like. He took his time to listen to what my concerns were. I came here because they're a Gonstead chiropractic center and because of the reviews. I paid $299 for the x-rays, blood tests, and initial consultation. What really turned me off was when I went for my second visit. I was hit with, I have to enroll in a payment plan that included 24 adjustments. I thought Gonstead chiropractic was about adjusting the parts that were wrong and leaving everything else alone. Why do I need 24 adjustments and not 23? How is anyone supposed to know how much adjustments I'm going to need ahead of time? The payment plan options were 3 payments of $797 or one payment of $2100. I declined the payment plan and paid $99 for the visit. The experience left a bitter taste. Chiropractors were polite. The chiropractor I saw took the time to explain to me what was going on.
