History

Established in 1970.

The Chiropractic Wellness Centre was originally established by Dr. Woods in th early 1970's and was located in the newly built Nordic Court building in downtown Grande Prairie. Dr. Brian and Louise Cheshire took over once Dr. Woods retired, and they practiced in that location until their retirement in November 2008 when Dr. Wayne Rechlo took over. After rapid expansion the space proved to be to restrictive to the growth of the clinic and was moved to its current location, Suite 107, 10126-120th Ave on the north end of Grande Prairie, in June of 2011. The clinic currently houses a Computerized spinal analysis tool, Digital X-ray suite, Spinal decompression, Massage Therapy and of course Chiropractic. There are currently 4 Chiropractors and 3 Registered Massage Therapists on staff and they are all eager to serve residents of Northern Alberta and BC. Many patients come from all over from as far away as Diavik Diamond Mine in the NWT, to Calgary, Fort McMurray, and Fort Nelson BC.

Meet the Business Owner: Kelsey B.

Dr. Kelsey Bauman is a dedicated chiropractor from Grande Prairie, AB, committed to providing evidence-based care. He earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology in High-Performance Training from Northwestern Polytechnic and the University of Alberta before graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2023. Since joining the clinic that same year, Dr. Bauman has employed a diversified treatment approach, integrating manual adjusting, Thompson technique, Activator method, myofascial release technique, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, and acupuncture. In addition to his clinical practice, he serves as the official chiropractor for the Grande Prairie Storm.
