Long Long overdue review - I first came to chirosport in 2019 after a misdiagnosis (potential degenerative disc disease) and was desperate for relief from what eventually was discovered to be sciatica. As a rec league hooper/softball player, I was miserable and considering retirement. I had never experienced chiropractic care, so I was a bit skeptical but willing to try anything. After the course of about 4 months and maybe 6-8 adjustments (sorry I can't remember exactly) and I have been practically pain free. Now disclaimer: doc is absolutely amazing and emailed me some great stretches that I still routinely do to keep my sciatica away or minimal so managing my pain has been a long term commitment that I am happy to do. Fast forward to 2025, I've since picked up golf which comes with a whole new set of aches/pains and I revisited Chirosport due to some nagging neck and shoulder numbness/pain that I couldn't shake. aAfter a few sessions and I am pain free (well, as much as an active 43 year old can be) and I've now incorporated a monthly visit for wellness care. *Bonus- book a pressure point massage after your adjustment that is offered on site on select days with Mike! After receiving my massage from Mike, I've been itching to come back. He is honestly the best therapist I've ever had. I typically get sports massage and deep tissue work, and Mike absolutely delivers. My only wish is that they offered longer sessions -- the 30-minute massage feels like a tease because it's that good! The only downside is that the clinic doesn't offer many massage-only package options. Currently, you have to combine chiropractic care and other modalities to book a massage with Mike. It would be amazing if they offered more flexible massage-only packages, as I would definitely come even more often. read more

I had gone here because I was experiencing severe pain and tingling down my left arm and this place was referred to me by my friend Joey. Dr. Nejad seemed to know exactly what was wrong and why. I had expected getting an adjustment but they did way more than that. What was most interesting was an electrical stimulation method used to loosen up muscles which in turn would allow proper adjustments to take place. I highly recommend ChiroSports USA! Since my last review, my tendinitis has improved substantially to the point where I have been able to return to weight training again. Before coming here, I was in so much pain. I tried PT but the pain was so unbearable and felt that my pain was not being addressed and honestly discouraged me to do the exercises. I was feeling desperate because the pain had impacted my day to day that I couldn't lift anything with my right arm and I started using my left arm. Now, I am so thankful because the pain is zero and the massages with Mike on my elbow helped a lot too. Mike also gave me a lot of tips and exercises to try at home for my elbow. This review is long overdue, but I can't recommend ChiroSports USA enough. From my very first visit, I knew this place was different. Other clinics never really listened or personalized my treatment the way they do here. I came in with an injury I couldn't even pinpoint, plus a lot of pain from my sport, and they figured out exactly what was wrong and got me feeling better fast with adjustments and a solid treatment plan. I've dealt with Osgood-Schlatter disease, sciatica, pulled muscles, and now a heavily sprained ankle, and they've helped me recover from all of it. I go 1-2 times a week for maintenance, and it's been a game changer, if I didn't, I'd probably still be in pain or dealing with another injury. Booking is super easy with their app as well, and the clinic is always spotless and organized. Cleanliness is huge for me, and they keep it at a high standard, sanitizing before and after every patient. I've had adjustments for posture and hip imbalances, laser therapy for deep tissue and scarring, and stem therapy for muscle activation all specifically tailored to what I need. I did not have any problems with the my visits until my last one this morning. I purchased a package (5+ 1 free for $500) as soon as I finished my initial consultation ($150). The sessions were all the same. I get in, warm compress with stim, ultrasound with stim, a bit of stretching and adjustment and a cold compress while laying in a massage roller table. On my 2nd to the last visit, I decided to book a massage session for my last treatment. It was expensive ($100) given my initial investment, but thought that I really needed it and would be worth it given the rave reviews about Mike. When I spoke with Christina, she said that they don't do an hour, but they do 30 minutes, and that I'm booked. I was going to pay and she said no need as it's part of the package. I was surprised about this because no one told me about the massage being part of the package. I was happy that I didn't need to pay for a massage, but was wondering, could I have availed of the massage during my previous visits at no additional cost? I went home a bit confused and slightly disappointed as this was not communicated to me from the start. So when I received the text the next day asking for a review, I shared my concern. (See photos.) I texted Friday, got a response on Monday, and when I texted back, there was no response except for the reminder of my next session. So on my next session which was this morning, I came in and got the massage from Mike which was amazing. He was able to relieve me from the muscle tightness that has been bothering me for a long time. It was great, but then again, it made me question whether I should've had this feeling of relief earlier on had I known that it was an option. I had the rest of the regular visit processes which was done by Dr. Nejad and Christina. It's usually by an intern (whose name I forget, but she's really nice too). After the session, I went up to the front desk to ask about the message to get clarity about the massage inclusion, but instead of being able to have a proper conversation, Dr. Nejad was very dismissive and insincere. He said that the display says "chiropractic visit" and the massage is not included and just a bonus, and that they're actually planning to increase prices by September. I mentioned that this was not what Christina communicated and he dismissively apologized without even looking at me and when I tried to say something, he started would talk over me and even started talking to another patient and walked out with them to one of the rooms. Funnily, one of their patients came out and said "I see that Mike's available, can I get in for a massage?" And they allowed her. Then Christina was like, "So did you want to schedule your next appointment?" It took a while for me to respond because I was still processing what was happening. I did want to go back because I need it but I was feeling a certain way with how I was being treated. When I didn't say anything, she said that I didn't have to if I didn't want to, feeling like she was kicking me out. So I did. $650 is not a small amount and I really just wanted to get the most out of what was being offered, especially with the price. But even then, I was willing to pay to get that massage. The point is, instead of apologizing for not being able to communicate something that other patients are obviously aware of, they're gaslighting me saying that it's not included but only available as a bonus if Mike is available. It would have been beneficial to be aware of that information. I would've wanted to have that option to ask what the other patient asked if Mike was unavailable when I booked. I could've set up an appointment on a day when Mike was available. I was looking to have a conversation to hopefully still avail of the massage service, especially after experiencing it, and maybe a proper apology because of the miscommunication from their part, but instead I was dismissed. Not once did they ask what I needed or how they could remedy the situation. They just wanted me out of there. (I wasn't making a scene at all nor was I talking loudly.) I know this review would probably not affect anything as they do provide great service, but I hope they consider how they speak with their patients who wants nothing more than to just get their money's worth of the service that was said to be available even if it was not guaranteed. One of the best places to get an adjustment and massage. I used to powerlift and gym regularly but body got too stiff and tight over the years and regular rolling and stretching didn't work. Ever since coming here on a regular basis the last couple of months, body has gotten a lot better and able to exercise without much restrictions. This place also educates people on why certain body areas hurt with videos besides what the doctor tells you so there are additional resources. Understanding staff, great doctors, adjustment, friendly, easy to make an appointment

After my recent experiences, in my opinion I feel like this place doesn't care at all about the patient or improving their health and is only focused on how much money they can make. Any time you ask them for something that is considered normal in a medical practice like a prescription or letter for medical necessity, they take their jolly sweet time. They tell you they will have something ready for you at the next appointment, and then when they don't, they tell you it isn't "life threatening". Multiple times they have delayed care, prescriptions or ordering medical devices and they don't seem to care (seems like their primary focus is profit and money). They miss their own deadlines and then send condescending messages to you in response. As another person on Yelp noted, they create arbitrary policies around massage therapy, again in what seems like an effort to maximize profit. They tell me all patients can get one massage per week and a maximum of 30 minutes. I asked for additional time that I was willing to pay for because it helps my pain and they said no. They said no because they "want to ensure every patient can come once per week" but this is ironic because they couldn't schedule me for a massage one week and when I asked for them to make up the session, they said no. So clearly they don't ensure everyone gets their one massage per week. Furthermore, they have a sheet of services offered which is posted at the front desk listing 1 hour massage as an option. I asked why it lists 60 minute massage as an option if they only offer 30 minutes to me and the doctor said the sheet dates back to 2022. I said really, the sheet literally listed the date December 2024 on it so how is it from 2022? I will give a specific example summarizing their lack of caring: I had an appointment on Wednesday and asked for a prescription. The doctor agreed and said "you will have it at your next appointment on Friday". I thanked him. On Thursday, I sent a gentle kind reminder just to please have it ready at my appointment the next day and got a condescending text response stating "we are busy with patients so you have to be patient to get your letter." I said to Dr. Nejad that I found the "you need to wait and have patience" comment to be condescending and he said "It is not condescending, I wrote the message myself." I am glad to know that the doctor thinks that just because he wrote the message himself, he can say whatever he wants and then dismiss my concern about his lack of caring about my pain. Furthermore and first, I'm not asking for anything beyond what you promised and under the timeline he promised. Second, it would take 3 minutes to issue the prescription promised. Third, I'm asking for the prescription because Dr. Nejad refused to provide the requested services needed which help reduce my pain. If I were waiting for an order of candy, I'm happy to wait as long as he wants but this is delaying my care in reducing pain. Should be something a doctor empathizes with. I told the doctor I found the response to lack caring for my health and pain and his response was literally word for word "is the prescription life threatening"? First, I'm not aware of many life threatening conditions that he as a chiropractor is dealing with and asked what he was dealing with that he deemed life threatening. Didn't get a response to that. Then I said "would you be happy if I said I'll pay you in a week instead of today because you need to be patient". He said "of course not". I said "are you saying you receiving my $15 copay today is life threatening to you" and he said "yes!" I think this summarizes his sentiments perfectly: in 48 hours he can't take 3 minutes to give me the prescription he promised he would and his excuse is that it is not life threatening but god forbid he has to wait an extra day to receive $15 and that is life threatening to him. It is now a week later and I still don't have the prescription. Finally, I asked for a copy of my visit summary and his statements about my pain did not match what I reported. He claimed that I magically improved 40-50% within just a few treatments when I had reported to him that most of my pain was the same or worse. Seems like he is trying to take credit for magically heeling me when I reported the opposite. I'm quite concerned with the inaccuracy of this and would encourage all patients to review and request their medical file and notes from their visits. As a result, I have terminated treatment with Dr. Nejad as I do not have confidence that he is looking out for my best interests and health. I'll finish where I started: in my opinion, all this place cares about are their profits and certainly not me as their patient. Where do I start? I've been coming to the UC ChiroSport office for six months. In the previous three years, I have undergone two major back surgeries for a herniated slip disc L4, L5, and a recent right knee MCL/meniscus tear and surgery. Therefore, I was apprehensive about returning to CHIRO therapy because of my previous injuries, so finding the right chiropractor was significant. And through my research, the recommendation to visit Chirosport was made. Chirosport has been treating me for the last six months. In that time, they've provided me with ultrasound, laser therapy, massage, and countless adjustments to my lower back and right knee. I learned about my range of motion and the steps to recover fully, returning to the gym, and getting back to cycling and boxing. The office manager, Christina, has welcomed me; she's always open and lovely when I need to cancel or reschedule at the last minute. She even smiled while raising her eyebrows at my two no-shows.
