I went to Dr. Bruce Chisholm in 2023 for an upper eyelid surgery because I felt that they were looking a bit droopy at my age. I was recommended by my husband as he had suffered a frisbee injury (!) while playing on the golf course. He ran smack into a palm tree with his face and broke many bones on his cheeks and around his eyes. Dr. Chisolm did an amazing job restoring his bone structure and my husband not only looks great, he looks natural and better than before! Dr. Chisholm put me immediately at ease during my consultation and was super reassuring the day of my procedure. His famous line he likes to use is "Isn't this FUN!!??!!", which always made me giggle. Post-op I looked a bit like the bride of Frankenstein, but soon the swelling went down and the bruising started to go away slowly. When I healed fully I was delighted with the results as they were imperceptible but I looked more awake and less tired without the saggy upper eyelids. It's been a year since my face lift. I had the life style lift that focused on the jowl area. I still have significant jowls. Dr. Chisholm said that it was because of swelling, but it's been over a year, so I don't think we can use that as a reason any longer. The staff was friendly, and the quality of care is fine, but results are why you go through this type of surgery and the results for me just aren't there. A true artist! I started doing my research years ago when I knew the time would come. Everyone knows "his look". Very natural, you get that "refreshed" look. Not fake or O.C. plastic. I have to agree with the review of Linda S. of 6/20. I would give no star if possible. It is 15 years since my "mini lift" procedure by Dr Chisholm and my poor head still suffers from scars, large hairloss bald patches, left side pain and numbness. I will always remember my after procedure appointment when I told him about the left side pain and he gave me a ridiculous right brain/left brain explanation for the pain. I remember when my anesthetic was wearing off during the procedure , my hand being brushed away and the scrambling to staple up. Doctor Chisolm is a skilled surgeon. I am happy with my full facelift. He also included laser resurfacing and some fat injection. Since my hair is so fine, he was able to pin back my ears slightly so they do not poke through the hair. I was even able to get a special price by scheduling it at Thanksgiving time. The staff are wonderful and I especially enjoyed Kelly who is so caring. They also arranged for someone to stay with me and care for the lasered skin first day and night. After three surgeries and a lot of money, Dr. Chisholm was unsuccessful at accomplishing what I asked of him: eliminating the unwanted skin from my neck. While he made three attempts (to his credit).he only succeeded in shifting the sagging from one side of my neck to the other. The surgeries were painful (especially the first one) and the other two were uncomfortable. I would have readily withstood the pain if only he was successful at doing what was asked; he wasn't. The only result obtained was hair loss. His nurse Angie, however, was a gem. She was supportive,empathetic and readily available to discuss my needs and concerns. A+ to Angie! So, it's 14 months since I had my "mini facelift" done by Dr. Chisholm. My decision is regrettable! My right ear is still numb and the scars lumpy. They are so noticeable, I cannot wear my hair up any longer. I feel embarrassed when I get a facial and I'm asked " what happened?" Please, before you make Dr. Chisholm your choice to have any facial surgery done, ask your physician for recommendations, friends or pharmacist. I thought I had done my research and trusted him 100%. He's very charming and seems concerned on the initial visit and consultation. Once you pay, it's a different story. The scars that I have will always be an eyesore. I wish I could post pictures of my before and after. The only difference I see are the scars. You Be diligent before making your decision.
