I paid $5,000 for Botox and filler and the results were worse than doing nothing. After waiting 90 minutes, the doctor spent about five minutes with me total--including the injections--and did not evaluate my face beforehand. The Botox didn't work where it was supposed to and instead left my face uneven and distorted. When I raise my eyebrows, my expression looks bizarre and exaggerated. My smile lines look worse than before. The Botox in my jaw caused weeks of pain and bruising, and I still have difficulty chewing. The filler in my jawline left it sagging and heavier instead of more defined. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It took several attempts to get a follow-up call scheduled, but the real issue was the dismissive attitude during that call.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was told that of the $5,000 I paid, only $1,000 was attributed to Botox--and that they would only consider refunding a portion of that. This is not a "medical" dermatologist office although they claim they are. Their service is poor, they make you wait as long as possible - hour or more to see a "doctor", PA or NP with a scheduled appointment. But the patient has a 15- minute grace period and then they'll tell you to reschedule even if you're 2 minutes late. If they cannot diagnose your skin issue, they continue to bill your insurance company until it turns into out of pocket with no results. Ultimately, you'll have to see another dermatologist to get better. If you require surgery for skin cancer be prepared to have a massive scare on your face or other parts of your body that you'll be told they can fix. This does not happen and you'll need to see a plastic surgeon. Good for LASER and Cosmetic related procedures if you have the money and the patience to put up with the above. But you will probably look like you had work done. read more

The staff is really a fine run machine. My surgery was very well done, follow up care also very attentive. My appointments were timely with little waiting time. It has taken me a bit to write this review, but overall this company is one you should watch out for. I will share my story but know that I was so shaken up after my appointment that I had to have my partner come and get me as I could not see out of my eyes to drive home. I had an appointment on 2/20 at 8:15, checking in on time I sat in the waiting room for 45+ mins before I was taken back to get a picture taken of my face before the appointment. I was then taken back to a room to wait for yet another 25 mins where I asked for numbing cream for the filler I was going to get. Then I sat for another 25 mins before the "doctor" Timothy Jochen came in to see me. I asked if we could use a cannula to preform the filler as it caused less busing, he said ok and without any warning or explanation of what was going to happen he shot up both of my eyes. My eyes both filled with water and teared up as it was so rough I was caught completely off guard. I was shaken up and the attendant said are you ok, to which I responded that I have never been handled so roughly every in an office like this especially when dealing with anything close to the eyes. It is now 10:25, having spent over 2 hours at this office to be handled the way I was in unacceptable. The office called me and said we wanted to check up on you and that the "doctor" felt bad about how I left. I called back 4 times and left 4 messages only to never be called back again. Needless to say I will NEVER be back here, they do not care about you, they care about profits, their money and not about the care of the people who visit them. If you value your time, money, and any type of civility you will NOT go to this place. If there was an option for a 0 start I would have given them one. read more

Believe the bad reviews. Filler was just ok. Botox did NOT rid me of fine lines. Went for followup thinking they would make good on the $3,600 I spent. NOPE! Dr. J and his whole team make me feel comfortable, confident and beautiful every time I'm in the office. I've had a range of procedures done there from Fraxel to dysport. Dr. J and I both agree that it's not wrinkles that age your face as much as dark spots and uneven skin tone. That's why he advised me to use tretinoin cream to help improve the appearance of my fine lines and darks spots and Obagi Blender to lighten my Malasma. Tried to call to reschedule appt., waited and waited, no pick- up, left message to reschedule. No call back. Later called for a different day for skin cancer removal, reception said I have to pay $50.00 first before she can reschedule for skin surgery. She never got my message to reschedule. Very unorganized. I asked for my results so I can have the cancer removed at another Dermotologist office. She e-mailed a form that I completed and still haven't recieved my latest test result. Meanwhile, my small cancer lesion is growing larger. I guess they need to charge as much as possible to pay for all those commercials they air on local TV stations. read more

I told him that the holes in my ears had been ripped from a child pulling on my hoop earrings. I want the ear lobes fixed and the holes sewn together so I could-wear earrings again. I thought the doctor was rude and he asked the assistant how many more today? She told him 2 . He numbed my ears and just started cutting. I had a white sweater the back was full of blood that spattered and he never acknowledged the blood spattering on the sweater and on the side of my face. He finished took off his gloves left and told me nothing. I asked his assistant could i use the sink to clean my sweater with the soap and cold water and she gave me a plastic bag to go home. No after care instructions. I had white gauze and tape on my ear lobes when I left. I thought I had to wear them until the stitches came out???? I called to complain. An office manager he and I met for a meeting He later apologized and stated customer service is important to him. read more

I feel so cared for by this office. Their attention to detail, thoroughness, care, and the kindest personalities work at this beautiful office. This is an office where someone took every detail all in and took the upmost care in designing the waiting space. There is the calming sound of a trickling stream because there is a beautiful rock pool with running water at the entrance on the inside of this beautiful office. One of the first things I noticed was something that I very much appreciate-that all employees, and all patients, were wearing masks. I kid you not-this was a great detail to see-they even have three pen containers, labeling which pens were clean, and which ones had been used, so they are being as careful as anyone could possibly be to keep Covid from spreading. They have not one but two front desk people greeting and working there to help patients. They are also very astute at making sure all of your paperwork and details are updated in your chart. Everything that was pre-printed was already correct in my paperwork, and they were great to have me just add any details that transpired over the year to the paperwork. They even thought ahead of time to ask for credit card information in case you wanted to pay any balance over the phone. They have multiple televisions in the office detailing services they offer, which sparked my mind to add things to speak with the doctor. I even learned about sunburns and things that I did not know before, which is very important to everyone living in California (and especially the sun-soaked desert) as we are all outside all the time. I laughed out loud no less than three times at the occasional cartoons that would come up on the TV monitor while I waited-I LOVE this, and with everything going on right now, a lot of people need a good laugh. I am one of those people that has a list when I go to the doctor. Nurse Practitioner Jessica Arnold is the absolute best, she always makes sure we go over EVERYTHING on my list. She even asked if I would like to go first, saying "let's take care of your list first." This is no small feat, for I think I had nine questions on my list! Whenever I do exactly what they told me to do, whatever skin condition I was suffering from, heals up. Nurse Practitioner Jessica Arnold is truly wonderful and very genuine, she also always asks how am I doing. I know that the medical community has been exhausted, and changed probably forever, because of the pandemic. It is a breath of fresh air to go to a doctors office where they are EXCITED to help patients, are extremely good at what they do, and treat their patients with so much kindness. I feel like I've gone to meet my friends when I go there. I truly could not ask for more from his practice. Every time I have gone into this office, I have gotten the same respectful and kind demeanor and top level medical care. They also do take Medicare. This truly is the highest-class, most well-mannered and most polite office ever. As you can already guess, if anyone needs a dermatologist recommendation, this is where I am sending them. I have been seeing Elaine Woo-Gallagher NP for over ten years and have been extremely satisfied with her professionalism. Now am 72 and with very limited financial resources after being disabled for nearly forty years. However, doubt I will be returning. Had a semi-annual appointment today; and, after spending the night on the porcelain throne - possibly food poisoning or ? - I called to explain that I was too weak to come into the office plus in case it isn't a food related issue that I didn't want exposure either way and needed to reschedule. I was told there was a $50 charge for the cancellation - and Karina stated 'that's the rule.' This after enduring their new lengthy on line check in process that didn't allow to save anything and needed me to restart it four times to be able to complete it in one go-around. And, never mind the long commercial spiel for cosmetic services one is stuck listening to repeatedly while being waited to be put through to reception. What happened to pleasant music? Tim performed Strip hair transplant surgery on me 2 years ago. Everything I needed to know prior and after surgery was provided to me. So there were no surprises. Overall I'm happy with the results. Fast forward to today. I'm planning on speaking with Tim regarding a second surgery to give me a completely full head of hair. It's not uncommon for men to have several surgeries to obtain optimal results. So, the consultation is nothing out of the ordinary. If I'm deemed a good candidate for a second surgery I would opt for the Strip Method again as it has the highest success rate with over 90% of the transplanted grafts surviving. One other thing; Tim is very hands on and a really personable guy. He makes you feel comfortable from the moment you meet. This is a nice quality in a physician. read more

Then there was the nurse, Anyssa Medical Assistant. Really good at her job. She was really friendly and knowledgeable. Smart nurse. Answered all my questions and more. Then I met Dr. Bupathy. Between Dr. Bupathy and Anyssa they were funny and answered all my questions. Between the 2 of them they made me endure a not pleasurable procces of scraping my advanced skin cancer off permanently.
