"Tom's Furniture Barn" next door, has been absorbed into this Chisholm Country Store. (enter Barn via the Store lobby). Feel free to peruse the red-carpeted floor of the "Barn" (watch that first step Down!) An eclectic array of pre-owned wood furniture, home decor, books, seasonal decorations, and ya-never-know's. No sales pressure! No big mark-up. Chisholm Store dining staff is pleasant & helpful, the Daily Meal Special is on blackboard near entry. Seating is at tables in the lobby, plenty of room for other customers to stroll by. (not recommended for shy eaters!) I had the Street Tacos, and the Chicken Enchilada Soup: Good fresh ingredients, not overly spicy, just enough for the bite, then easy on your belly. Prices are better than fast food drivethru joints, and the food is healthier. *small parking lot, right along Hwy 205 which is very busy due to massive growth in Terrell, and Forney, TX to the south. Food is fantastic. Signature chicken salad. The croissants are fresh & flakey (better to eat it there than to go for flakiness to stick), The mixed green salad with pecans and feta is so good. Raspberry vinaigrette pairs well. My husband prefers their giant sandwich. That's the half portion! The berry tea is delicious & made with fresh berries. The peach cobbler is perfect- not coyingly sweet, fresh hot peaches, flakey dough, and topped with ice cream and cream and sprinkle of cinnamon!! Staff is super friendly and attentive. read more

It is a very eclectic store with antiques, a shopping area and a very good restaurant. The staff there are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal very much and ended up going home with a table I can use for sewing. A very good way to spend time with friends. read more

Antique store and cafe combined off 205 in Rockwall. Lasagna was hot and very good including the salad and soft garlic bread. Muffoletto is my fav a 1/2 serving one for today and one for lunch tomorrow its huge but has a ton of meat and cheese along with olives. We also got fresh eggs there in various colors and syrups, jam and honey. Too much to list in this review you have to get over there and take a look see your self :-) read more
