Wow where do I start. My mom wanted mexican food, so she told me to come here. I phoned in our order. I ordered 2 beef soft tacos with rice and beans and a carnitas burrito. I asked on the phone what comes in the burrito. All she told me was carnitas and guacamole. I say ok can I add beans and cheese please. They said yes. That's it for my order. I come to pick it up, it's cash only I called in the order, it would have been nice of the person on the phone let me know that it's cash only so I can be better prepared. That was annoying. So I had to go to the ATM, get charged a ridiculous ATM fee. Then I confirm with the lady that the burrito doesn't have Pico de gallo because Im allergic to onions. She says no, but the guacamole has onions. I say oh I'm sorry, I cant take the burrito then. She gets upset, talks crap to her fellow co worker about my order, then I guess refires the order. I didn't know she was going to refire, as I kept asking her if she was going to do that, she didnt have to. That night, my mom gets sick and is throwing up. My mom believes she got food poisoning. The business only takes cash only. When I see that especially in a large shopping center that's very discouraging. One it tells me they are not up with technology or two they're trying to beat the IRS by taking cash only not reporting taxes. I would never dine in a place that only takes cash . No issues here. The staff was nice. I asked for napkins and sauce no problem. The woman that prepared the food to go out after it was cooked handed the food with a smile. They only had 6 tables. We came on Saturday at lunch time and it was consistently busy. People kept coming in. The woman taking the orders was serious and pretty but you can tell she was trying to handle everything. When I was younger everyone raves about this taco shop so it was time to finally give it a try. I will say I was shocked to see that they are still cash only but thankfully the gas station store has an ATM so it was pretty easy to get cash and the store itself also has an ATM which I didn't realize until after I got cash. I will tell you this is not Satiras in south bay, but it is good, and the best I have had north county inland. I came in after lunch. Ordered a breakfast burrito with a horchata. It was made fresh. The food was good quality, fresh, tasty and well prepared. It kept be full for two meals!!! The staff was super nice. They do have salsas behind the counter. Make sure you ask for what you need. I got mine as a take away.But they do have like 10 tables inside (maybe), all booth style. I do travel with a service dog, one thing that was nice... the floor was super clean under the tables. Great little taco shop in North County! I stopped by here for a bite and was very happy with the food and customer service. I was greeted by a wonderfully nice lady. The shop is small and I am not sure how it would feel if it was crowded. I ordered a carne asada burrito with beans and sour cream. The burrito was made quickly. The tortilla was very fresh and huge. The carne asada could have used some type of seasoning but it was drowned in sour cream, guac and beans so it was still very good. The carne asada was tender and fresh. I have been here twice now completely by accident; I was getting gas at the corner. But I was glad that I found it. I think all of these people who are complaining about the Spanish-speaking people who work here, and the cash-only situation are sounding a little racist. I am Mexican and I speak Spanish and I noticed that a lot of Mexican workmen came in after I did and so I figured the food must be good and I was right. I arrived at exactly 1pm on a weekday and I ordered right away, no line and plenty of booths available to sit in but I ordered to go. I was in the mood for rolled tacos (chicken) so ordered it "con todo," with everything. I wasn't sure what everything was but it was good. I got the green salsa to go too. When I got home and opened the food bag up, I was surprised at how huge it was. It honestly had everything on it. I ordered the 5 rolled tacos and I ate 3 for lunch and just had 2 for appetizer before dinner. I feel full. There was guacamole with cheese and lettuce and tomatoes on top and the green salsa had a good flavor and a little spice. I think the 5 rolled tacos are $8 and mine was $9 because I ordered it with everything but I think it's a fair price considering how substantial they were. So, people: please just bring cash and be nice to the people who work there. They work hard and need everyone's support. Do you want to live in a world without little taco shops? No! read more

The sauce was delicious and we sopped up every last drop. 2. Chilaquiles- green (red also avail) delicious but I wish I had asked for an egg or more protein. Served with beans and rice, a mild roasted jalapeño and a dollop of crema. 3. Large Jamaica- $4 for almost a whole quart is very reasonable- usually drinks half this size are $4! Refills are $2.50. We stopped by after karate class nearby at 9:30 am and found this was the only restaurant in the mall that was open so early on a Sat morning. We had no wait but within 30 min, orders had started pouring in on the phone and a line had formed. Service was fast and friendly, and parking was plentiful in this mini-mall by the 15 freeway. Stopped in on a whim and was impressed with their tasty food. I especially enjoyed the enchilada sauce, which was on the sweeter side reminding me of a mole style sauce. The portions were generous. The service was average, but a bit rushed. It did take 25 minutes to get our order, but it was a busy lunch time in their defense. No free refills on drinks either. I constantly recommend this taco shop as it's one of the best in town. I always get the bean and cheese burrito and it never disappoints. There's just something about their refried beans. That's just so much better than any other Taco Shop. I've tried. The service is good and you know it's a great place as there's always a line out the door. What's even better is that their prices are very good. I'm fortunate enough to live 1.5 miles down the road so that helps also. Why are y'all so mean with your ratings?? Chito's is awesome. I wasn't pleased with their breakfast burrito meat options (bacon, ham, and I can't remember the other one). They had chorizo, but that option was only chorizo con huevo, so I was like "nah". The lady at the cashier was kind enough to be flexible and let me add chorizo to the California burrito! I was like, "SCORE!!!" Spoiler alert: it was phenomenal. Their salsas are spicy af, I was okay with two green for the entire burrito. I'll preface this with the fact that we've been coming here since 2003'ish. Food has always been good. It is also my understanding that this place is CASH ONLY from what I could deduce. Came in the other day for an order of 5 rolled tacos with guac & cheese only. Paid $10 too! The gal at the register was a ray of sunshine- she was all smiles, very friendly, and attentive. The bugaboo was the guacamole. You can tell that the guacamole was "reduced" to the textbook "extra light green colored" guacamole which leads one to make the inference that they are basically watering down their guacamole with cheaper ingredients to get the avocados to go further. NOT GOOD! The other issue was that the application of said guacamole was quite literally a thin shmear over the rolled tacos. Ridiculous! When I order rolled tacos, I want true, green, pure avocado guacamole that is NOT mixed with other ingredients to "water-it-down." I also expect a reasonably sized "dollop" on my rolled tacos. And it's always wild to me that places keep a tip jar on the counter. First of all, I am placing an order while standing up. Second of all, I haven't even received my order, much less eaten it to be able to give a fair assessment on whether or not I want to tip. My friend and I were across the street, hunger struck, and this place seemed like a convenient option. They only accept cash, which is inconvenient, but I was lucky to have some on me. Pricing is very reasonable at $5.50 for a beef taco. My taco was a bit small, but it packed a punch. The tortilla was light and soft. Cutting into it, the meat sauce leaks out. This place has some big size fish tacos and they were delicious! The fish taco plate came with beans and rice. I give their beans an A+. Yellow Spanish rice a little on the bland side but no complaining it is rice. A large green pepper that looks like Jalapeño comes with the meal. The Carne Asada Torta was okay. The bread as you can see in the picture attached is a little burnt on top. Tasted flavorful. If you're looking for healthy, the Chicken Fajita plate hits the spot and also comes with rice and beans. Just the right amount of onions. The salsas here, both red and green, are good and SPICY! Lastly, good thing I had some cash on me because apparently they don't take credit cards.
