Upcycle Parts Shop is so many things, but first and foremost, they are a nonprofit promoting creative reuse of everyday objects. There's too much cool stuff piling up in landfills. Upcycle Parts is changing that. Upcycle Parts is a donation center, shop and event space. On Thursdays and Saturdays you can shop the store and mostly everything is under $5. The amount of treasures is astonishing. On their website, they have a full Donations Guide of what they can accept. You can also attend events here to challenge your creativity, like making flowers, totes, wreaths...the sky is the limit with what these talented women come up with. Forget throwing away that old jewelry you're not wearing, donate it to the Upcycle Parts Shop for it to enjoy its second life as something else.

SERVICES -- They have lawyer referral services, pro-bono Attorneys (Lawyers who take a case for free), volunteer opportunities, etc. PROGRAMS -- The CMBA has so many events each year. I recently attended (on 10 April 2019) a free program here which was a documentary screening. The documentary was titled "I Am Evidence" which examines the issues of the thousands of rape kits that are untested. Attorneys were able to arrive earlier to listen to a discussion and gain CLE (continuing legal education) credit. I only came for the documentary screening but I got to socialize little bit beforehand while eating dinner. FREE FOOD - The event organizers brought in food and drinks. There was chicken and ground beef as well as taco shells and condiments (tomatoes and lettuce). I was surprised that I was able to eat a full on meal because I thought they would just have snacks available. In fact, there was popcorn and sweets (candy) too...haha. LOCATION -- They are located at the One Cleveland Center building which is on the corner of East 9th street and St Clair Ave. or East 9th and Rockwell Ave. in downtown Cleveland. Free street parking is located on Rockwell Ave. or in the attached garage of the building. They were told they would have bigger problems over this, which they responded to by threatening to file a police report (a report for what exactly, I don't know). I'm not sure how they treat their other clients, but I had an extremely bad experience.

My Dobermans have been therapy dogs, scent dogs, tricks dogs and competition obedience dogs.. not all of them have been the same. I then pursued another Doberman with another rescue to see if it would work because they didn't know anything about the dog. In the middle of this, they contacted me to say they may have made a mistake .. I said I was involved in this now and I have to follow through. Unfortunately the dog did not work out .. I messaged them last Thursday and was told that they were open for adoption and that I was approved as the email stated.. messaged them on Friday to tell them I was coming on Monday to see the dog and then was told someone else just got approved and was coming to see the dog. I was told they held the dog for me and I said that's good because you were the reason I didn't come to begin with. You get no response when you ask whoever runs the place to call you.. I would not recommend this service to anyone!
