Went for a 2pm appointment for a wash, cut, style. Sat for 20 minutes watching the stylist I booked put extensions in someone's hair. It did not look close to done so I finally gave up waiting. Looked like she double booked and took the appointment that would be more profitable. Will not go back there again. read more

Please do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go. Look at the pictures and you'll see what $300 buys you here. Oh and yes, that's supposed to be "balayage" fml. Thank you Susan. Oh and I sent her these pictures and explained why I was dissatisfied and she didn't see anything wrong with it... ‍. Her only response was reschedule online so we can fix it. Do you really think I'm going to go back to a person who can't see what they did wrong so they can screw my hair up some more and waste even more of my time? I'll take the loss on this one. Lesson learned. So yea, if you're bored and want to blow a few hours and a few hundred dollars, by all means go to Cho on Main. read more

I got my haircut here on Saturday. I've been growing it out. So just a trim. It's a really cool boutique right there on Main Street lots of cool clothes and decor. Kristine cut my hair . She was great. Very professional , friendly and knowledgeable. And offered advice and recommendations on my hair care. The other staff members were very cool. The place was really clean and had a really nice atmosphere. I was very happy with my cut. Kristine did a terrific job . Highly recommend. William S. read more

I have not been to Cho's for several years because the person that I went to does not work there now. I looked great when I left, haircuts, hairlights and the way it was styled. I would give anything to have that look again. It is not cheap to work there having to pay for a booth and trying to get regular customers established. Saw the review below, is just awful. Went in to get balayage, that's not what I got. Stylist was not paying any attention to my hair while under the dryer. I thought it was too hot so I removed myself from the dryer to find liquid coming out of the foils she put in my hair. It was running all over my clothes and my arms glad I was not wearing anything nice. I had to go find her in the break room to let her know the foils were leaking.From that moment I was very concerned something was wrong and that the bleach had stayed on too long. Which when she went to wash my hair that became clear. She could not even brush my hair out. And while trying too with conditioner in was very painful and difficult. I told her my head was sore from the dryer being hot and she was like oh I have never heard that before. I finished brushing out my hair so she would not destroy the rest of it. She then ask if I wanted to leave with it wet like she knew she had messed it up. I stayed to let her dry it and refused to let her cut it or try to style it because I knew my hair was in fragile shape. I am now having to spend more money to go have the color corrected. read more

I had an appointment with Kristene I had made a few weeks ago for Monday at 10:30. As a mom of toddlers it is very rare that I'm able to get out of my house to do something for myself. My husband had taken a late shift at work to make sure I'd be able to go to this appointment. I drove 40 minutes to my appointment only to arrive with the doors locked and the lights off. I called four times and left voicemails and nobody came to the door. I looked inside and all the lights were off and nobody was in there by 10:49 I called again to let them know I was very disappointed that nobody answered my phone calls or showed up to my appointment and I wasted 40 minute trip each way to get stood up by a hairstylist. This morning I get a voicemail saying that she was there the whole day and must not have heard me at the door and asked if I would reschedule. I find it very hard to believe that she didn't check the door not ONCE within the first 20 minutes of my appointment time that I was outside if she was there. That she didn't hear one of my phone calls or voicemails if she was there. And that she was sitting in the dark if she was there. I feel like I'm being lied to and that she just didn't show up for the appointment. Never going back here again. She didn't even apologize just said I had a misunderstanding cuz she was "there the whole time" read more

They gave me hot roots (ruined my brown hair) and told me it was because I didn't know what tone I wanted. Stylist then offered me a conditioner but that almost made it worse because it means she knew she had messed up. That being said everyone was friendly and the salon seems to be well organized. read more

Had my hair done by Raven this afternoon. Today was the only day I had available to get my looking better than the "I've been doing my own touch ups with boxed natural instincts for the past 6 months" mess that it was. I've had little success with Lexington salons in the past, but when I called Cho, Raven was able to get me in...on a Monday ( yeah!) Walking into the salon, I was immediately reminded of Salon Dada, my favorite uber cool salon from my previous life in Manhattan. And, unlike the previous reviewer, I actually like that the salon shares the space with a boutique. I mean really, how great is it to shop while your stylist mixes your color? Awesome. It was easy to instantly recognize that Raven, (a stylist with 20 years experience who is relatively new to the area) completely knew what she was doing and I was in good hands. She listened to my requests, looked at my collage of "dream hair" pins on pinterest, and helped me come up with a plan that wasn't going to keep me in the chair for hours. Speaking of time, she works fast, which as a busy working mom I REALLY appreciate. Less than 2 hours later, Raven delivered with a fabulous new hair cut, like what I already had, but so much better...with gorgeous rich ombre color. Exactly what I wanted...actually maybe better than what I envisioned. The final test, when I walked into my house, my husband turned and looked adoringly at me, and said, "wow! I love it...thats my favorite hairstyle for chicks"....funny, since this has been the hairstyle I have been trying to achieve for the past 4 years...Raven was able to effortlessly nail it. I have been going to Renee for several years.. My daughter recommended her as we both are VERY picky about our hair(having several bad experiences).. Even when I moved to Atlanta for several years, I would drive back for my hair appointments.. My Atlanta friends said I could find good stylist there, but I would not change.. Renee is a great.. She has always taken great care of me & my hair.. So, I have to refute a previous review.. Yes, there is also a boutique, but not cluttered.. When you get your hair done, just like most salons, you wear a covering so product, hair, etc are not getting on you.. Yes, just like all other salons, the washing stations are a bit uncomfortable, but again you are given something to cover up with.. You could have asked for something additional if you felt you needed it.. I would recommend this salon to anyone.. I didn't have a good experience whatsoever. I saw Renee for my color retouch appointment. Very simple, I just get one color put on my roots. When you enter the salon it's a very strange environment, you feel like you're getting your hair done in a cluttered department store. The stylist stations are right next to a rack of clothing. Renee herself was somewhat nice but spent all of 10 seconds in her consultation with me and rushed off. When she came back she started slapping color on my head in a very careless, rushed, messy way that hurt my scalp. I felt punished! There was no attention to detail. I got color all over my clothes, arms, etc. When it came time to shampoo I was so uncomfortable...the shampoo chairs are directly across from the waiting couch. The chairs make you lay all the way back and I wore a dress to my appointment. Bad idea. While shampooing, the gentleman sitting on the waiting couch got a great view. Renee didn't consult with me about how I wanted my hair styled or anything. She just started roughly blow drying and rushed me out! To top it off, she charged me $90. The website says root touch ups are $65. I only got my roots done so no extra product was needed to justify the extra charge. I had a horrible time. I gave it 2 stars though because the woman at the front desk when I first came in was so friendly. When I got in my car to leave, I saw Renee rush out and she left before I did. I guess she had somewhere to be...as a new client though I didn't appreciate being made to feel like an inconvenience to her schedule. read more
