We stopped in this shop to grab some dessert after having dinner at a neighboring spot. The assortment of goodies looked very nice, staff was attentive and friendly as soon as we walked in.

    Eggs, bacon and potatoes.

I normally have no complaints about their breakfast food but the service today--and the food, which was obviously prepared in a retaliatory manner--leaves much to be desired. They have no consistency in their serving sizes. I paid for bacon, which is extra money, and what I received was a dried up, shrivelled, burnt mess of bacon "slices." They served about three pieces of their potatoes and gave me the tiniest pieces of bread. And I can compare because I've gotten that same food in the past and never have I ever gotten what I was recently served. When I also ordered the drip coffee and the cashier tried to charge me for it, alleging that it's only for dine-in, I corrected her--their sign states that it includes take-out. If you have someone working at the front, I would hope they know what they're doing. And when I paid in cash, they alleged they didn't have enough change. I'm sorry, but when a paying customer doesn't have enough money to pay the full bill, I'm sure they wouldn't be allowed to pay less for it. I would also hope that the staff would be professional despite someone giving valid complaints. Also, you can find better pastries elsewhere. For the price they charge, the pastries and desserts are not worth it.

Chocolada Bakery & Cafe was highly recommended to me by a local for their large assortment of desserts. They also offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I personally think the desserts are the most impressive. This cafe is small, the seating inside was plentiful. On the left side behind the glass you'll find their full size cakes. On the right side you'll find individual slices and small individual cakes. We got three slices of Dulce de Leche, Opera and another chocolatey one I cannot remember the name of. First a word of warning, these cakes are super fresh, the Florida heat isn't their friend. If you're not going to enjoy immediately after purchasing, remember to refrigerate as soon as possible. Wow! These are THE TASTIEST thing I had on this trip to Florida. They are flavorful, creamy, fresh, and they melt in your mouth. Each of the ones I tried was so distinctive and rich in its flavor profile. I think it's both, a blessing and a curse that these delightful cakes are 1,500 miles away from my reach.

This is the 2nd time at this establishment 1st time was for a cake Cake was just okay... expensive 2nd was for breakfast They open at 8am Arrived and the lights weren't even on. People were there getting ready in a rush The guy came to unlock the door and didn't even open it for us... he unlocked it and walked away which I felt was a bit rude. The 3 of us walked in and said good morning... the guy responded with "not a good morning for me" yikes... tbh if it was just me I would've walked out and gone to another place... that type of attitude between the door and the response was a little much for me... but the others I was with wanted to stay bc the food came recommended... we stayed he lightened up and it got better. Then I over hear his blonde coworker "I hate it here" I was not happy bc at that point I responded with "I hope the chef doesn't feel the same way" worried out $100+ tab of good and drink was gonna be crap Oh boy am I happy I was wrong... the chef gets 5 stars!!! THE FOOD MADE UP FOR EVERYONE'S BAD ATTITUDE!!! We ordered : 3-Traditional Romanian dishes: 2 orders of polenta that comes in a dome shape with feta and sour cream ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! So creamy and lush... we added everything together and just went to town. 1 order Mititei 4 big hand rolled sausage with fries the meat was so tender and juicy.. fries were average I would've gotten a different side if they had offered. 2 orders of French toast with powdered sugar and butter they came with 3 big slices and bit were they on the money. Simple buy delicious 1 order of eggs Benedict The hollandaise sauce was great flavor and the true star of the show were these crispy potatoes that the plate was served with... I ate every bit of it Drinks -We ordered 3 juices 2 -1/2 carrot 1/2 oj 1 carrot Squeezed fresh and tasted delicious Coffee 2 black coffees and 1 espresso No here's another downside... They did not explain that the coffee had no refills... So we kept refilling our cup of coffee and they kept charging us which I felt was a fail on their part because that is something that you should disclose... Especially when we weren't getting full cups of coffee at the end... Most breakfast spots include unlimited coffee and if they don't they usually say something... I felt like they were a bit deceiving... Because if we're being charge for coffee I would've liked to have known and order something better then just black coffee lol a cappuccino... at one point we ordered a side of milk with our coffee... Remember there was two orders of coffee and they only brought one small container for milk so I asked for another one of a Spanish girl behind the counter and she responded with "your server will get it for you "so I waited around and the server finally came out from the back and I asked him for some milk and Shernoff it was sitting in a container right in front of the girl...she just refused to pour me some... I would say one of the worst server experiences I've ever had. The service and attitude was lackluste Food was 10 out of 10 The ambiance wassilent for about 20+ min then they put Xmas music on and it was less quiet and drab and more cheerful. That loud door fan going off at all times and not just when ppl open the door was very annoying! I asked to shut it down since it was just us there and they did so that was nice... All in all 5 stars for the chef -2 stars for the service

I bought cookies, apple strudel and an apricot hamantasen. The chocolate chip cookies were very good. The hamantasen had sliced almonds which added to the flavor. The apple strudel was my favorite. I received terrific customer service from the person at the counter who answered questions about all the baked goods they carry.

Woah! You must visit this location and try their Mangolina dessert option! I wanted to try something different and as we are in mango season, I figured Mangolina should be a good choice, and my oh my was it! The texture and taste of the mango mousse was simply perfection and the accent of chocolate was the perfect finish on the palate! Chocolada Bakery and Cafe is located on the downtown Hollywood strip. You can easily get street parking or park in a nearby City parking garage. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating area is covered with umbrellas which Is great for children and families. There are many options on their menu and the service is excellent. Highly recommend checking them out!

Great place to grab dessert and coffee. I ordered the chocolate mousse cake and a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was very good with whipped cream on top. The chocolate mousse was pretty good. There was lots to choose from and there is also outdoor seating. Staff was very friendly. Can't wait to come back and try other desserts

How cute is this place?! It has a small town European cafe feel with cooler displays full of pastries and cakes. My husband and I ordered two pastries. His was very similar to a vanilla slice (in Australia) and mine was a decadent dulce de leche filled cookie. We also grabbed two tuna wraps to go and and iced mocha Frappuccino. The tuna wraps were simple with fresh veg inside. To top this visit off we were especially impressed with the service! Super friendly, and helpful! Thanks for the hospitality guys!

Love this place! Great for breakfast or just to enjoy delicious European sweets and bakery items and have great cup of coffee. We had the Savarina, authentic Romanian desert and Soup, both delicious home made style. Centrally located in Hollywood FL, this gem is a must visit. Friendly and attentive staff, our server Wilmar was very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended!

This place has been here for so many years. I have dropped in every so often thru the years and witnessed the new changes. The bakery has definitely changed. I saw they now have a gluten-free options. The desserts all look great. The restaurant has a small air-conditioned sitting area inside. It also has a nice shady outdoor sitting area. It's surrounded by plants. I liked the outside area. I ordered the strawberry smoothie. It was really good. It tasted like a milkshake to me lol. It was sweet and refreshing. The presentation of this drink was nice. It came in this clear glass swirled with pink stuff. It looked and tasted good. The Bagels and Lox were what I ordered. I added avocado to the combination and that just made the dish perfect for me. The bagels tasted very good. They tasted fresh. This was a pretty filling dish. I enjoyed it. It was their medium size bagels with smoked salmon capers, arugula, and cream cheese. The cream cheese tasted like it had chives. It was good. The staff was very friendly. Valentina was my waitress. She did a great job. The food was good and price fair.

The baked treats are all dairy free, egg free and vegan. We purchased the banana mini cake which was moist and delish. The big deal is every Tuesday with $2.00 mini cakes. We came on a very busy time since there were over twenty customers on a food walk tour trying to get their baked treats at once and it seemed the person behind the counter was overwhelmed, and I was too. The shop had really nostalgic items from the 70s and 80s scattered around the room including old albums and toys with a nice giant blue velvetish shoe seat. The parking was easy on the street for $1.50 an hour so not bad at all. They do offer a big parking garage too.

Immediately I was drawn in by the amazing music playlist that was playing and was immediately in awe by their cool things they had! Lots of vintage, lots of music, a little bit of everything! They have coffee, ice cream, and cakes! They are vegan, and have a lot of alternatives like no dairy c no eggs and such. The woman who helped us was super nice and attentive and was sure to get our order in. I'll definitely be sure to visit again !!

It was pretty sad when we received something that was horribly sticky, and I don't know how she didn't realize it when she handed it to me because it wasn't a surface on this that wasn't sticky. I personally had to proceed to clean it myself. I can typically look past that because unfortunately, it is quite common that a lot of restaurants don't clean high chairs and booster seats these days, which is kind of gross and definitely an oversight. But when the food came and we went to use the maple syrup that felt like it was doused in maple syrup. Again, you couldn't touch anywhere on the bottle without having it all over your hands. The bottle surprised me because it seems like it was just refilled, so I'm guessing the person dripped all over the bottle and just decided not to clean it before leaving it out for service. In the end, the meals were basic nothing spectacular. I asked for medium well poached eggs with my corned beef and I got extra runny. My husband said his French toast was fine and my son said the waffle was too sweet so he could only eat one (which is quite shocking for a six-year-old). I had set my expectations too high for the bougatsa, which I've been craving since my last trip to Greece. I was sad that this one was cold and drenched in honey, so it was also so soggy. I'm hoping this was an off-visit since it has been around for such a long time, and as you can see by the photos, everything is so picture perfect. It also does seem to get decent reviews. But on this trip, we will not be back.
