Overcooked, but good. For $26 I'm not complaining at all. Came with has browns, two eggs, and fresh bread. Eggs were cooked perfectly. The Saturday hostess should be in another business. She didn't do bad, but she is just not a hostess material. No warmth. No smile. No welcome. She did her job and I got a table (after spending 5 minutes looking for the host stand. It's outside. I went through the front door and never saw it and there are no signs). On the other hand, the server was great. Very polite, friendly, and attentive. Coffee and water stayed full. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon seating, we requested a booster seat for our child. It was pretty sad when we received something that was horribly sticky, and I don't know how she didn't realize it when she handed it to me because it wasn't a surface on this that wasn't sticky. I personally had to proceed to clean it myself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can typically look past that because unfortunately, it is quite common that a lot of restaurants don't clean high chairs and booster seats these days, which is kind of gross and definitely an oversight.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But when the food came and we went to use the maple syrup that felt like it was doused in maple syrup. Again, you couldn't touch anywhere on the bottle without having it all over your hands. The bottle surprised me because it seems like it was just refilled, so I'm guessing the person dripped all over the bottle and just decided not to clean it before leaving it out for service. In the end, the meals were basic nothing spectacular. I asked for medium well poached eggs with my corned beef and I got extra runny. My husband said his French toast was fine and my son said the waffle was too sweet so he could only eat one (which is quite shocking for a six-year-old). I had set my expectations too high for the bougatsa, which I've been craving since my last trip to Greece. I was sad that this one was cold and drenched in honey, so it was also so soggy. I'm hoping this was an off-visit since it has been around for such a long time, and as you can see by the photos, everything is so picture perfect. It also does seem to get decent reviews. The quality of the food has really changed. We ordered omelets that were very poorly cooked, and the only optional side offered is a few slices of tomato. The variety of the selection is far too limited considering the price of the dish. On the other hand, the fresh orange juice was good, but they only serve you a very small glass with a tiny amount of juice. It's a disgrace, considering what they charge for it. The fresh OJ and bubbles hit just right after Fridays imbibing. While they don't have a Benedict per se, their menu does provide a tasty serving of the classics. I was pleasantly surprised by Girogio's. Based on its beautiful waterfront views, I'm not gonna lie, I assumed the service and food would be lacking. I didn't find either of these to be the case. We were quickly seated outdoors on the patio. The view really is beautiful and peaceful. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time with a yummy side of complimentary bread. A pleasant night in the water with good friends always heals the soul and Giorgio's Bakery & Bistro is just that. A beautiful location right on the bay next to the Hollywood beach boardwalk. Sunset time is absolutely beautiful and very fun to watch all the boats go by while the water turns from aqua to a silvery blue. The food itself was absolutely fine. It's not going to be the best meal you've had but it does give you large portions for a reasonable amount of money. The service is also very quick and kind. They are very ready to help with anything you need. The hardest part about the restaurant is finding parking as the lot usually is full at night and there are not a lot of other parking options in the area. The food is fresh and the ingredients are quality. They have the biggest, most buttery croissants! They make for a wonderful sandwich, breakfast or lunch. I always order one with sausage egg and cheese for breakfast, hot ham and cheese for lunch. The sandwich is honestly large enough for 2 people or 2 meals, so you could share or have enough for lunch! The Harvest Salad is a beautiful array of colors, textures and flavors - perfect for a quick bite, on a hot Florida day. Lastly - the view. Wow!
