Rooms were clean and cozy and they provide you with things to make your hikes at Acadia a little bit easier! They provided blankets for sunrise at Cadillac, flashlights, and even gave us a grab and go breakfast treat when we missed breakfast. A short drive away from the park and town, so you get the best of both worlds in this cozy inn. I will definitely be back- no complaints!

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a lovely little treat waiting in our room, which set the tone for a thoughtful and relaxing visit. The room itself was immaculate - spotlessly clean, comfortable, and well appointed with nice toiletries included. The varied daily breakfasts were a true highlight. Each morning started with a glass of fresh juice served in nice champagne glasses. Something different was served each day and all of it was delicious, expertly prepared with an elegant presentation that made the experience feel extra special. The common area was equally inviting, offering tea, coffee, and light treats throughout the day, and providing a perfect space to unwind. Service throughout our stay was very good and efficient, with every detail handled seamlessly. The owners are meticulous about everything - this is a place that clearly takes pride in both comfort and hospitality. 10/10, would absolutely recommend.

Delicious, creative homemade breakfasts - always a huge spread with fruit, two kinds of baked goods, and one dish of eggs/sausage. Coffee and juice are plentiful. After breakfast, there are always cookies and extra baked goods sitting out in the foyer/dining room if you want a snack with your afternoon tea/coffee. 2) Rooms are extremely comfortable and homey, and very clean. 3) Karen, the innkeeper, is extremely friendly and attentive, and always gives the best advice on what to do, where to eat, and where to find the less-traveled yet most amazing trails. She always chats with incoming guests to find out what they're looking for in their trip to Maine, and gives great suggestions on how to get what they want out of their vacation. Honestly, what else could you want in a B&B?

And no other greeting or acknowledgment that this was a hotel. I explained the situation and the person told me they will not refund and that it's unethical for me to ask for a cancellation. They yelled over me and finally offered a partial refund, in the event someone else will take the room.... He eventually hung up despite me asking to speak with an owner or manager and has since not answered my last 5 calls over the course of several hours. Stay far away and don't be lured in by shockingly low rates compared to legitimate hotels in Bar Harbor. I should have known it was a trap when they did not show up on maps.

There is a gravel lot for parking, which is convenient since most restaurants and experiences can be walked to in town, helping you avoid the fight for parking. We stayed in the Charter Suite - I only wish it had been cold enough for us to use the working fireplace. That would have added extra charm! Kristi met us as we checked in and provided a warm welcome, even a warm send off by providing us muffins to go for our early flight. My fiancée and I greatly enjoyed our stay and are hopeful to one day return to Bar Harbor and Saltair Inn.

We stayed on the 3rd floor in the Beehive Suite. It was a bit of a trek going up and down as many times as we did, especially with heavy luggage, but we loved the room and the view!!!! And we never heard a single other guest during our stay. They have a great HVAC system that keeps the third floor very cool. And the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There is a parking space for a car for every room. When we arrived, we got a thorough welcoming from Matt. He showed us on a map some suggestions of where to eat. The inn is an easy walk from the town and about a five minute drive from the entrance to Acadia National Park. We didn't partake in breakfast, but saw many others enjoying it. They have a beautiful deck with plenty of seating, and Adirondack chairs in the yard to enjoy the stars. They keep the lights and music on all night, so no matter when you arrive home, you feel comfortable and safe. The only thing that we missed was access to ice. There is a tiny machine in the breakfast room, but that only makes enough ice for about 3 drinks for the whole place. We had to buy ice at the Circle K every day and keep it in our cooler in the room for our water bottles and cocktails. If you ever travel to Bar Harbor, this is the place to stay!!! Best view ever!!!
