She and Beatrice put together multiple options (that aren't on the website because they do TAILOR the tours!) for us to choose from and we decided to take a tour of the Victoria and Albert Museum with Katie. We learned during the tour that Katie worked at the museum previously and truly is an expert!! Katie spent 3 hours showing us the highlights in the museum including Da Vinci's diary and a writing box presumably belonging to King Henry XIII. Truly a person could spend endless hours in this museum!! Katie gave us a wealth of information that was beyond what was on the plaques and she was friendly and patient with us!! After speaking for over an hour, she left us on our own for 45 minutes, saying she would be back. She returned, and spoke a little longer, brought us to the Tower Bridge and left us there for the duration. I noticed there were other tour guides on the bridge remaining with their group. This tour was costly, and not worth the money. I would definitely not recommend this tour company.

We met with Jessica at the Tower of London. I can't say enough about how incredible Jessica was! She was so knowledgeable about everything we saw. This was the most jam packed informational tour we've ever taken! We were delighted to learn so much of the history of the Tower of London, the Crown Jewels, and the history of London in general. After seeing all the Tower of London had to offer we took a boat up the Thames. Again learning so much about what we saw along the way. After stopping for a bite to eat we made our way to the Westminster Abbey. Our day of incredible sights and learning continued. This tour was the best tour we've ever taken. Groups of six or fewer (our London tour was just three, what a treat) and wonderful thoughtful guides who are subject matter experts brimming with professionalism and passion for the topics they are guiding. We visited London in August when many businesses are closed however Sarah Christie constructed a lovely Gastrinomic London tour and showed us so many amazing little shops that we never would have found otherwise. (Not sure why there was a L10 tasting surcharge as we did not actually taste many items besides cheese as part of the tour, but there were ample opportunities to buy whatever we wanted along the way and she was kind enough to tailor the walk to our particular interests) We saw so many delights that I was sad I didn't have a kitchen to go home to that very afternoon, if I did I would have assembled a shopping bag full of groceries by tour's end. You can find an ample selection of topical tours on history, art, architecture etc if markets sre not your thing. I have suggested this company to many friends and all have come home raving. We used David's Day Tours for two separate day trips. The planning process was easy and quick. We…read moremade arrangements via email, paid our 20% deposit via PayPal to reserve his time and then paid the balance in cash upon completion of the tour. David picked us up promptly as arranged and had us home within a couple of minutes of the planned 10 hours - amazing given traffic. He was a very safe driver and accommodated our individual needs during the trip. David provided a flip-phone to use to call him for pickup while exploring on the tour. The first day trip was to Oxford and the Cotswold villages. David provided lots of background information and history along the way to Oxford. He then let us off in Oxford and we spent about an hour walking through town and taking pictures. When we finished, we called using his provided phone and within about 2 minutes he was there to pick us up. We continued to the villages of Asthall, Swinbrook, Burford and EastLeigh where we stopped for lunch at The Victoria Inn. After lunch, we continued on through Bibury, Winson, Bourbon on the Water, Lower Slaughter, Upper Slaughter, Stow on the Wold, Chipping Norton and Woodstock. We stopped as desired to shop, take pictures and stroll through the villages. Very scenic and quaint area. The second day trip we went to The Wallops villages - Over Wallop, Nether Wallop and Middle Wallop. We saw Miss Markle's cottage and visited St Andrews Church built about 1020 AD and saw the frescoes from that time period. From there we went to Salisbury and spent about 1.5 hours at the gorgeous Salisbury Cathedral. Once again, we called David with his phone and within a couple of minutes he was there to pick us up when we finished. We then drove to Old Sarum, site of the original Salisbury Cathedral. We drove through the Woodford villages and past the home of rock musician Sting. Then we began the Neolithic part of the tour visiting Stonehenge, Avebury Stone Circle, Lockeridge Dene, West Kennet Long Barrow, Woodhenge, Silbury Hill and Durrington Walls. I really felt that seeing all of these sights on the same day helped give us some context and understanding of the time period. Highly recommend!

Jack and Barbara took a group of us on a street art tour around East London (if you check their website, they also do architectural, design, print and bind tours - they are a team of practicing artists, designers and lecturers). It was a truly delightful day of cycling and learning about many facets of street art. I felt comfortable even though it was my first time cycling in London. They provide the bikes (cool foldable Bromptons) and safety gear. It honestly felt like just hanging out with friends who want to show us around the city, and they are sharing what they love and know about it as insiders. It was a really cool adventure. If you want to see London and if you love art and you like being outdoors and active, this is the tour for you! They also took us for a scenic ride along the river Thames and that was a fantastic way to end the tour! I would definitely do this again on my own and when friends visit from abroad.

Ludmila is a guide of not only exceptional professionalism but a rare talent. Agreeable, pleasant and very knowledgeable, she created an engaging and memorable experience. The best way to go up and down the River Thames in London. You will find them at almost every pier…read more You can use the app if you already have it and purchase your tickets ahead of time. It does cost just a bit less to purchase ahead of time, but you'll need to pick the time that you'll be boarding. And you can go with a full day pass and get on and off, or you can do a one-way, or round trip. You can also just walk straight onto the boat and tap your credit card when you enter and exit. They are all slightly different inside, but they are all enclosed by glass with air conditioning and individual seats. There are other companies that are open air if you want to feel the cold river wind. These also have a cafe, and several restroom stalls. If you don't know what time you'll be boarding, they typically have 10-15 minutes wait times for the next boat. And if you're one to get sea sick, like me, it's actually a pretty motionless ride. There is some movement, but if you know the tricks to counter sea sickness, then you'll be just find and be able to enjoy the ride all the way, as I did.

Treasure Hunt - Covent Garden Take Away Text to Victory…read more Having recently moved to London my new boss decided to give me the task of organising a team away day for 18 people. I found this company and ordered the take away treasure hunt. I recieved a pack with maps, clues and a number to text. You text when you start with your team name and when you finish. This determines the winner. So we split into four teams and set off. The next three hours where spent running around covent garden and surrounding area's (we where being timed and we are competitive) doing random activities to earn bonus points, for example dressing a team member in news paper, posing on a bike in the street. Everyone in the team had really good fun, it was hilarious to say the least and really interesting, I discovered places in London I had no idea about as did my work mates who have lived here all their lives. I would recommend this for team building events and for a laugh with your mates (add in some pubs along the way).
