There is a fireplace for cool nights and one very small hidden tv which was turned on once in 3 days and that was to watch Little House on the Prairie! Breakfast each day? Delectable!

The space was clean, comfortable, and the bathroom was well kept. The only downside was the bed placement--it's positioned in the corner, and both of us ended up with a few bruises on our knees from the bed frame, which was a bit inconvenient. It's also pet-friendly, which was great for our dog. He did well overall, but being a senior, the stairs were a bit much for him after a while. Breakfast was simple with options like cereal, oatmeal, bananas, apples, tea, and coffee. It was fine, though we were expecting a more traditional bed-and-breakfast style meal with a bit more variety. If I owned the property, I'd love to add a front deck to make the outdoor space even more inviting.

You will get a feel for what it might have been like when Westinghouse and Telsa took strolls together in the Point Breeze neighborhood and see wonderful front yard gardens, and old style homes that are breathtaking. In the early morning hours and sometimes even during the day - the surrounding hills cover with fog and you feel like you're standing on an island in the middle of the ocean. It's utterly breathtaking. (I highly recommend staying in the upstairs bedroom! Super comfy beds, an awesome bathroom/shower, and a perfect view of the rolling hills!) A large group of wedding vendors and I photographed a styled wedding on the property and we couldn't have been happier with the end result. There are acres and acres of beautiful trails to walk, a large pond full of fish, an awesome bonfire and outdoor bar, as well as a beautiful barn on the land. The space is utterly perfect for country or outdoor weddings! I cannot wait to visit again - both for professional reasons and for personal! We were a little early for check-in and everyone was so welcoming while we waited. We stayed in a standard queen bed room, which had a fireplace and large closet and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. We were there for a wedding and the venue coordinator, Zach, did a great job with making sure everything was set up. There was another party going on the evening we stayed the night and you could hear it clearly from our room. Thin walls and floors is the downside of staying in a historical building.

The custom wood work, vintage light fixtures, mirrors, carpets and stained glass are at once classy and charming. Every aspect feels cozy and full of warm character without ever crossing over to ostentation. The only thing better than the atmosphere was our hosts, the owners Butch and Shirley. Even though we'd never met before, they treated us like old friends they were delighted to catch up with. They went out of their way to ensure every aspect of our stay was enjoyable. Butch and Shirley love the house just as much as we did, and you could tell they were thrilled to be able to share the gorgeous historical time capsule that is the Montgomery Mansion with others. The coffee, scratch made french toast and frittata the next morning were the perfect end to a perfect stay. The great place and great hosts have us searching for a great excuse to go back soon!
