I called Choice One and Asked for Service for our refrigerator as soon as possible as our food was spoiling due to the warm temps. He said he could come later this morning and even though it was quite a drive he arrived on time. He methodically checked each part as not to miss anything and then zero'd in on the thermostat. These guys have been awesome! They were dispatched to me thru my home warranty (AHS) and have fixed my washer, dryer, diagnosed my range hood, and replaced the stove in my guest house. They always show up when they say they will & give me a courtesy text when they are on their way. My husband and I have extremely busy schedules and have always been able to work around that and fit us in a day that is convenient for us. Do NOT use these people. We ordered a GE microwave. Took a few months to unbox it since we bought it for our kitchen remodel, which we were in the middle of. Microwave door wasn't latching properly causing it not to heat anything. Called GE & they sent Choice one repair out on 11/27/22. Fast forward to May 2023 & microwave is still broken. These people do not answer their phone or call back. Finally got ahold of them because I text them. They asked if the parts got to us. I'm Super confused because they never told us parts were coming to our house when they were here in November & nothing was ever delivered to us. I called GE & they said parts were never ordered. I told GE I had text confirmation of Choice one saying they ordered it. GE puts me on hold to call choice one. Choice one tells them microwave was not installed properly so they aren't fixing it. Why would we install a broken microwave?! We plopped it in the spot it was going to go & waited for repair. Anyways...they lied to us about ordering parts & then tried to back track by telling GE the microwave wasn't installed properly. GE won't cover microwave since these "repair" people told them microwave wasn't installed properly. Starting a lawsuit against choice one. I've been having issues with my oven it would normally take around 45-50 minutes to pre-heat. So dinner was a drag when we would use the oven. Steve diagnosed the issue, it was the igniter that needed to be repaired. He ordered the parts and fixed it immediately. Thank you Steve for addressing the issue. Wow. They are lucky to have the home warranty companies' constant buisness. Try to avoid them. They love to set up an appointment. Then cancel it. Then reschedule it a week out. Then cancel and reschedule it again. They know how the home warranty companies work because they never seem to tell them because they would switch providers. They always have an excuse to keep pushing the initial appointment back. On top of that, they only TEXT? What buisness does not make actual phone calls anymore? Clearly they do not care about the customer or the service they provide. I was lucky to switch appliance providers before I got trapped with their non-existant service. We set an appointment and they indicated a day and time. 11AM on the day I tried to contact the company about approximate time of service, Immediate voice mail on number, Tried Texting also no response. 1 hour later they responded that they were not going to make the time window. Naturally I was irritated by there incompetence and communication skills. Every time I called the number, voicemail only. After a heated text exchange they cancelled the service. THEY HAD A 7 HOUR WINDOW TO SERVICE MY WARRANTY AND STILL COULDN'T DO IT!! Not even a call letting me know in advance. I had to contact them. Said he would contact us when he found the part. 1 1/2 weeks later after no call, we contacted them. No answer...called 6+ times in one day during business hours...never attempted to gain our business. Company does not answer the phone and got one word response to a text. My first warranty contractor took over four months and three home visits trying to find a solution for the malfunctioning ice dispenser on our Viking refrigerator. After numerous calls to my Warranty Company they finally agreed to assign a different contractor. My microwave went out and my warranty company sent a company who came out 3 times and still could not fix it.  I called my warranty company to transfer to a new company.  I went through choice 1 appliance repair before and was very pleased with my service.  Steve came out and i told him what the previous company changed out and he was able to replace my microwave.  Within a day my appointment for replacement was set up. Horrible, I can't think of any worse experiences with a business. Got referred here through our home warranty for an appliance repair, this company No Showed three straight weeks and it's been more than a month trying to resolve this issue and I will have to ask our warranty to contact a different company now. When I finally got through to someone, Kelly was very rude saying that our problem is not urgent and began yelling at me telling me we have to wait longer than normal because there's more important matters than an appliance. After I said we already waited three weeks, she hung up on me?! Wow. Ok, so I call back and she starts yelling again. Not a great experience. We are renting a home and the homeowner has a home protection plan through a company called "Old Republic." The house had issues with the refrigerator (a leak in the water line), microwave (loose handle) and the washing machine (agitator not working). Old Republic sent out Choice 1 Appliance Repair to address the issues. Two nice guys came out and repaired the microwave handle but said they needed to order parts for the fridge and washing machine and come back. We were actually very pleased with these guys and how friendly and professional they were. After they left, we noticed that the door to the microwave had a rattle in in indicating that a screw probably fell inside the door (later confirmed). We figured that we would just have the guys reopen the door when they returned with the parts for the other appliances. Fast forward two weeks - still no word from Choice 1. After 10 days, they had acknowledged that the fridge part came in, but they wouldn't send the guys back out until the washing machine part was in, so we were left to live with a leaky fridge in the interim. Finally after more than 2 weeks, they informed us (only when WE called THEM!) that both parts were in and that the guys would be coming back out today. Crystal from Choice 1 called this morning and gave us a SEVEN HOUR window for when we could expect the guys to come out. When I told her that was a bit much and asked if she could give us a narrower window so we weren't sitting around waiting all day, she said that "due to Covid-19" that was the best she could do. What Covid-19 has to do with their ability to give us a reasonable window in which to expect service people to show up is beyond me. Reading earlier reviews, I see this unacceptably lengthy window pre-dated Covid-19, which makes it's invocation as an excuse somewhat offensive. Crystal said the guys had 15 calls to make today, so I asked her to contact them and find out where on that list we were. I mean if we were number 5 or number 12, we would have a better idea when the guys might arrive and we could plan our day instead of being tied to the house. Once again, Crystal invoked "Covid-19" as though that were an excuse for everything, and said we would get a "courtesy call" 30 minutes before the guys would arrive. Fast forward to 3:30 this afternoon, we finally received the "courtesy call" from Crystal telling us the guys were on their way and would be here within a half hour. When they didn't show up by an hour later at 4:30, I tried calling Crystal back but got a recording that their office closes at 4. At 5:30 PM - two hours after Crystal's "courtesy call", without having had the courtesy to call us to let us know they would be late and having kept us waiting at home for them all day, the guys finally showed up, without apology or explanation, but worse - looking very much irritated with US as though we had somehow put THEM out! The guys did the repairs and left, but left us with a really bad taste in our mouths about Choice 1 and the way they conduct their business. Cover-19 is NO excuse for a lack of courtesy, consideration and follow-ups - not too much to ask. I am sure that the folks at Choice 1 would want their own families to be treated better. read more

I had a home warranty with Old Home Republic. They dispatched Choice 1 appliance to repair my under counter ice maker in my patio kitchen. They took out what they said was the bad part an ordered a new one. about 2 month or so later they came back installed the new part. The machine worked all day. They told me to turn it off when I leave town. I did. I returned two weeks later and the icemaker would not get cold. They told me they would come back. They never called. I would occasionally text them to say I would be out at the house to meet them. NO RESPONSE. Last week I texted and asked when. They said 30 warranty. I said I called you two weeks after. NO RESPONSE. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. read more

Can someone figure out how this company is in business what so ever? Scheduling is horrifying. I am a business owner and I am a vendor for Fidelity as well and never have I ever ran my office so unprofessional. They kept telling Fidelity they were "ordering parts" to fix my 20+ old sub zero fridge. FOR 3 MONTHS. Three months I've been without a fridge in my kitchen. 100% nada. Been living out of the little one in the garage that we had to purchase to get us by FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS. Making sandwiches in the garage was easier then dragging all the stuff to and from. My mental capacity had been at the brink. I have spent three months hours and hours and hours trying to get some justice from Fidelity or the company so I finally cashed out on the "repair" to see if I can repair my fridge elsewhere. The cash out amount was $2300 and I just had a licensed refrigerator guy come over And he just verified this refrigerator is not repairable it's done. Fidelity should have cashed me out at the max value or replaced it like for like. But no, now I have to try to figure out how to purchase an 11k+ Refrigerator with $2300. It's a built-in I don't really have a lot of wiggle room here. This has been the worst experience ever. It has driven me to tears. Not to mention all the years I paid to Fidelity for my policy and the co-pay to have this piece of crap company come out. There should be a class action lawsuit against this. The worst!! Request sent for dishwasher repair on Feb 8th first available appointment Feb. 17th between 11am-7pm. No Show! Not even a phone call. You can never reach anyone by phone it is always by text. After I contacted my warranty company I was contacted by text later that day and was told by Kelly that they were there but when at the gate they tried 3 times to call me and no one answered. First of all I had already cleared them at the gate so they would not of needed to call me for entry. And if the gate needed to contact me they have my number. Kelly then changed the story that she had not been working that day and was not able to help them and was sorry but the office had given them an incorrect phone number for me. Again I repeated that my number was not needed. I was then reluctantly rescheduled for Monday Feb 21st between 11am-7pm. I asked that they please try to get here before 3:00pm. At 9:04am this morning I did get a text, I believe from the repairman, stating that the truck has broken down and that I will need to be rescheduled. I contacted my home warranty, yet once again and reported Choice One predicting that if they keep using this unprofessional, unreliable company they would start losing business themselves. This company came out, collected the Home Warranty repair check, left and said they'd order products for the repair of the dryer and didn't.... I asked if they fixed high end appliances (Miele) and the guy said yes, no problem! Ha! They never told us that it wasn't something they couldn't fix and we found out through the Home warranty company that they referred the problem back to them...after waiting for 3 weeks and being told the items were on order. Where do we begin On July 3rd my refrigerator went out. Our warranty company sent it to Choice 1. They came out Monday the 6th, Tuesday the 7th I called for an update the girl I talked to said they ordered the part that morning. I called agin on Wednesday, same girl said they ordered the part that morning. I called on Thursday the same girl said they ordered the part that morning. They either ordered the part 3times or someone is not being honest. They didn't answer the phone on Friday the 9th. On Monday I was told that the part was in. On Tuesday the 14th they were waiting on it. We have contacted Old Republic the warranty company. They said they would contact choice 1. It is now Thursday the 16th and still no end in sight. They are a subcontractor for a home warranty company. I called in a repair order for an appliance in September last year. They finally sent a tech out and ordered a part. It took a couple months for them to call for an appointment to finish the job. I made an appointment and the guy never showed up. A month ago I called the insurance company again and they had to issue a new work order. I just called Choice One again today and they said that the job has been closed out even though the job was never finished. Plus they said the insurance company hasn't called them and that I need to call the insurance company again so they can as make a new order. So it will be seven months since I called originally to get this thing fixed. Do yourself a favor and don't use these people. read more
