Finding a good dentist is hard. Choice Dental proves itself to be very efficient, professional, and trustworthy. Everyone from the front desk to the dental chair was very kind and pleasant to speak with. There is a very nice, large waiting room with magazines to read while you wait. The dental exam, cleaning, and consultations were very thorough. A huge plus side to this place is that parking is very easy, as they have their own lot in the rear. read more

Choice Dental is, hands down, the best dental experience I've ever had - and I'm picky when it comes to dentists. I arrived for my first appointment at the office (which is beautifully designed and decorated - modern, comfortable, and chic, with current magazines) and the receptionist greeted me by name - "You must be Megan!" Deidra, the hygienist, took great care of me - she is incredibly sweet as well as very thorough and professional. The dental chair is equipped with its own TV so I got to enjoy Project Runway for part of my appointment. Dr. Choi couldn't be kinder, more accessible, or professional - he sat down with me and went over every single photograph of my teeth (yes, they take digital photos of each tooth instead of just X-rays). The staff I interacted with during my first appointment remembered personal details about me and my husband at my subsequent appointment, and made me feel valued and cared about as a patient. It's clear to me that they value building relationships with their clients. I never had any problems with my insurance or any issues of any kind, per the most recent review - I've found the office to be top-shelf. Can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I ended up with Dr. Choi after looking to yelp for a new dentists, and I'm glad I did. I recently scored dental insurance after several years of going without, and in the intervening period I had some traumatizing experiences at the dental school which left me pretty skittish about dentists in general. Dr. Choi and his staff are top-notch. I have been going to Choice Dentral for one year and I recommend him to everyone I can. His office is immaculate and he always uses the latest technology. His staff is incredibly kind, helpful, accomodating and best of all, GENTLE with their cleanings. I've been to several other offices whose hygenists seem to forget that those little hooks can hurt! Dr. Choi is extremely responsive to his patients, he spends time going over your x-rays and photographs (yes, pictures of your teeth) and works with within patients' dental insurance options. Beware of this dental practice. Some of the work performed for us, crowns, root canals, fillings was iffy at best and had to be corrected or redone. A member of our family who needed A LOT of work had a root canal done on a tooth that should have just been pulled for a few dollars (apparently, root canals are the most routine and expensive procedure a dentist can perform). The root canal failed and the tooth had to be pulled months later, but in the meantime, given our insurance policy, other important work had to be put on hold (big cavities) so they could do the iffy root canal. I would go someplace else which is what we are doing now. I can't judge the niceness of the staff - the office manager has something of an attitude, but real niceness is doing the right thing and a good job - most important! read more

It seems that only good reviews are posted/allowed here regarding this place, negative is not recommended to be viewed by Yelp till you click the tab to show them. I completely agree with most here that these people just focus on "money", not patients' care, trust, or respect. I've been told about these fake cavities, as one reviewer said, on tooth #12 and #18, from the "first time" I had my cleaning there. To their bad luck, I know that this was not true because my dentist (who left town) just checked me less than a month before. When I made it clear that I'm here for cleaning only. Next time, the cleaning lady intentionally (or accidentally) hit the edge of #18 with the cleaning machine leaving a tiny dent and claimed that I had a little chip that needs attention. Again I said I'll watch it and take care of it later, I don't need any fillings now. I was afraid because of their negative reviews regarding fillings. Since then they knew that they won't make money after me. The scheduling became difficult, and Yes, the office manager has very bad attitude, worst I've ever seen. She mandated a driver license copy claimed it's the insurance request. Like one reviewer here, I checked with the insurance and discovered that they're liars too. I got a quote from dr. Choi for a full crown on an implant for $1800. I did it for $1300, same specs, with extremely high quality porcelain. If you're fooled by the new building and fake smiles, my sincere advice is to ask your insurance about service coverage, and ask them, how much your out of pocket is BEFORE you do the service. If you favor dental quality, respect, and honesty, over look and fake smiles, then just look somewhere else. read more

Most horrible dental experience in my life!!! Was having molar extracted and wasn't told until I arrived for appt that they had no gas-no sedation whatsoever. Dentist broke molar in half hitting front tooth and didn't even inspect tooth hit just started drilling and digging at broken piece. No follow up appt scheduled ... looks nice cuz in a new building but its deceiving. Will NEVER go there again! read more

Choice Dental is not professional office. I moved form Northville to Ann Arbor. I find this clinic from my insurance provider list. I called and schduled apointment. Our family is insured by my husband. I gave all the necessary insurance info to them and was told that I was not insured by plan. I have to communicate with them to get the ins. part straighten up because the staff is incompetent. My husband work for Univ. of Michigan. We have the insurance for many years. We never have any problems with former dentist. On the day of appointment, I showed up on time. After I filled a new patient form, I was asked for a copy of my Drive License. In my past medical exp, the staff was asking to look my drive license to see who I am; not to make a copy of drive licesne. The form they ask me to fill has my SSN, DOB, which is good enough for most Doctor's offie. I told the front desk, I am afraid of ID theft; becasue I am mortgage professional. 2 of 10 people got ID theft. Most of the ID theft is from medical office record. I even offered to give them a copy of my credit card with my photo on it. A woman went to talk to Choi and came back to told me. The clinic refused to see me, becaue they need a copy of my drive license. They claim it is a insurance requstment. I left and called my ins. company. Ins company said it's not their requesment. This is not professional office. It seems Choice dental focus on MONEY more than patients' dental care, trust, and respect. read more

dr. choi and his staff are super nice. the office is in a really convenient location with lots of parking. they knew exactly what my insurance would cover. they use some kind of sonic blaster instead of the scratchy/awful needle tool. it was as enjoyable an experience as possible. read more

I chose Choice Dental based on other reviews when I moved here for medical school. Dr. Choi has been my dentist for the past 4 years and I really like him a lot. He is very friendly and a great dentist. I know this sounds weird but I also value a dentist who is helpful and not judgmental. I'm a medical student who also has a 3 month old baby and a husband who is an airline pilot and is gone a lot---so yes I grind my teeth and drink lots of coffee. Dr. Choi doesn't lecture me about it like other dentists I've had, he just tries to provide helpful solutions to my dental problems. Therefore, I don't dread going to the dentist. The staff is friendly, the gals at the front desk as well as the hygienists are very nice. They even fit me in for an emergency appointment on a Saturday when I had a tooth ache so I wouldn't have to wait to get it taken care of. If you need a dentist Dr. Choi is the place to go. read more

The first time I scheduled a appointment, the staff kept canceling it for some reason or they said that they do not have a appointment for me. It took about 10 attempts to make a appointment. They have also said I had several cavities "forming" without taking a x-ray. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they said I did not have any cavities. I must warn you guys that it's not really worth the hassle to get those fake cavities fixed. Please find another dentist and spare your teeth. Please do not trust this dentist any costs if you truly care about your teeth! The female dentist isn't good to be honest. The last time I went there, they did take a x-ray and it wasn't very comfortable. The plastic thing they put in your mouth for the x-ray actually hurts a bit and I remember my eyes were watering from the discomfort and pain. Also, during the filling, the female dentist wasn't very gentle and she actually jammed the needle so hard that it was quite excruciating. That was a total nightmare. read more
