To make matters worse, the price sticker on the shoes showed they had been marked $20 cheaper than what I actually paid online. The store would only process a return and refused to let me repurchase them at the marked price, claiming it would be considered a "price adjustment" and wasn't allowed. So charging customers more than the marked price is okay? To make matters worse, the cashier, Ximena, was rude and dismissive. She scrutinized every inch of the shoes and the jacket I was returning as if she was trying to find a reason to deny the return. Lady, all the original tags and hangers were still attached. Is there a possibility this is exactly how it ships out, which is why I'm returning it? Crazy thoughts huh!!!

WCB was the only store I found that was willing to order a 'loaner dress' from the manufacturer for a small fee so I could try it on. Additionally, Elizabeth was on top of communication and rescheduled my appointment as soon as they realized the dress got delayed in transit. I had a great experience during my appointment with Reagan. She was attentive and always made sure that the dresses I tried on were 1) within my budget and 2) could be ordered to arrive in time for alterations before my wedding date. She let our party deliberate dresses without giving input unless we asked her, which was refreshing compared to my experiences at other stores where I felt pressured by stylists who sold dresses as if they were cars. While I appreciated her dress suggestions based off the description of what I was looking for, I ultimately fell in love with the loaner dress they ordered for me (I was under no obligation to purchase it!) and because it was the perfect size already, I was able to take it home the same day too. Overall, I highly recommend Wine Country Bride. They are totally worth the drive up to Sonoma County.

I finally got the courage to go to another place and I went to Bliss Bridal & Black Tie, where I found my dress. The consultant there actually listened to me, understood what I was looking for, and made me feel supported throughout the entire appointment. The experience was completely different in the best way and showed me how meaningful dress shopping can be when you feel heard and respected. Because of this, I strongly recommend brides go elsewhere for their dress shopping experience. If you're deciding where to go, I encourage you to choose a shop that truly listens and makes you feel confident and excited -- every bride deserves that.
