You can tell how a gym values it's members by how it maintains the locker rooms. The women's section tells the story. The photo posted by the reviewer Meg a year ago is still accurate. The swimsuit dryer/spinner has been broken for at least 4 months. The tile work at the doors from the pool to the women's locker rooms is broken and moldy. Everything looks worn out....the finish is worn off the benches under the lockers, there's gum (or something that looks like it) on the floors of the showers in the pool area.and it's been there for months. And if you're a woman over 40, expect condescending treatment from the manager. read more

Very unsanitary! To clean the equipment they have spray bottles and paper towels instead of wipes. They are very cumbersome to use and therefore no one cleans their equipment. Moreover, the spray bottles are defective and the paper towels are often jammed. They just replaced the broken faucets in the ladies locker room and didn't install touchless. I am amazed at how much business this club has. There are so many bad reviews and I am about to leave another. The club is dirty. I got 2 colds and COVID in the last three months at Choice Fitness. I asked the desk if anyone cleans the machines and equipment and they said NO. That is the responsibility of the member. The jacuzzi and pool are closed FAR more often than they are open. There's always a reason or an excuse and management never gives any kind of timeline for when repairs might be completed. I suppose when sheet metal is sticking out of the men's locker room doors leading to the pool, it might not be a bad idea to either close the pool OR REPAIR the sheet metal. It's been like that since at least January (5 months) and the door cannot even close because the frame is so badly rusted. Why are they charging premium rates for such shoddy amenities? Last, for whatever reason, the gym management thinks it is ok for men to sit in the steam and saunas in their sweaty underwear that they wore while working out. This is about 90% of the 20-somethings and late teens. Almost none ever wears a bathing suit or sits on a towel. Last, management does not seem to have a problem with guys taking selfies in mirrors ...photos and videos of their posing and "progress", all while others are walking around in full view of the cameras. The photos and videos are not a rare occurrence. I cannot think of a time when there were not one or two people posing and photographing, weekend days, evenings between 5 and 9pm....all the time! read more

I have been a member at this facility through three owners. Since Choice Fitness purchased it, there have been some improvements -- the hours are longer and that is great. The pools were all recently resurfaced and that is great -- except for the fact that they said in August it would take a few weeks, then in Sept., they said about two more weeks, and then the pools did not re-open until well into October. Since some people use ONLY THE POOLS, and since you much give 30 days notice and pay a $10 fee to freeze membership for a month, I have to wonder if they withheld that information so that people would not freeze their memberships for September and October. Hmmmm. In the women's locker room, the centrifugal force machine that dries out bathing suits has been broken for OVER A YEAR. The paper towel machine disappeared from the wall and has not been replaced, but there is still a "scar" on the wall where it was ripped down from the plaster. There has been a totally rusted out hinge on the door between the women's locker room and the pool for years. It's unsightly and could be fixed so easily. Maybe the biggest problem with the women's locker room is the cleaning and sanitation -- is it ever deep cleaned and sanitized? The floors and inside of the lockers are always kind of dirty. Walking in bare feet in the locker room is a gross experience. I don't know if anyone every wipes down the inside of the lockers -- they are dusty and I have seen some gross things in a few of them (toenail clippings, if you must know). I wish the maintenance was better. It's the closest pool to where I live, so I put up with it. But I'd enjoy the experience much more if the place was cleaner and broken things were repaired. read more

My main reason for joining this facility was I need a warm water pool after 2 major surgeries. I was told the pool was kept at 93 degrees. There is no warm water pool, the therapy pool is unusable. In addition, the cement all around the jacuzzi was eroding. The mats on the floor in the shower area are old and torn. A safety hazard. The steam room did not work, no notice that it also was inoperable. The spinner for wet bathing suit was inoperable. This was my one and only visit. Ceiling in the pool area collapses every other year. Frame of the door of men's entrance to pool area is separating from the wall, ready to completely collapse. Pool area is now closed for "maintenance". No one knows why (though it may seem obvious), or when it might open, nor are they interested in finding that out.Their only suggestion is to drive 40 minutes to another CF site that has a pool. I am primarily a lap swimmer. The pool area is dingy and dirty. I have come several days in a row to find bandaids on the pool deck and at the bottom of the pool. The water is so warm it is nauseating trying to complete a workout. I have been told the pool meets national standards. Please clean up your act choice! read more

My first day , I paid $150 for a membership and $49.98 for the first month. I assumed that it was a first quality gym based on the reputation of Latitude and Boston Sports,now called Elite . All the equipment was dated and worn, I mostly joined for a steam room . The steam room was untiled and broken, the members told me it was like that for many months and the manager promised future repairs which never happened. I love this club and have been a member on and off for years. They need to open up at 6 on the weekends again and reopen child care. If anothef club with similar hours/ amenities and child care opened up nearby, I would quickly switch clubs. I think corporate is out of touch with the members wants and desires for what they pay for. If child care opened, that would add my wife and 2 boys to my account. Club was sold to Choice Fitness in 9/22. Giving up my membership after losing literally hundreds of dollars due to poor accounting practices. I'm being generous in not calling it "crooked". I've been charged 3 times for personal training sessions that I never received because I canceled the service BEFORE CF took over! I've made multiple attempts to work with the club & it's always passing the buck to the "main office." So save your money & find another gym. I would give it a negative 5 stars if that was allowed. They are thieves. They allowed me to cancel over the phone or at least made me believe I did only to continue charging me and when I called they said they issued it. A month later they denied ever saying they did to the better business bureau! The manager lied to me and now states he never was going to give me a refund. They charged me in March and April of 2020 when the club closed and "refunded" me only to take that money too. Over $300 they stole from me!
