Been talking to Greg about a kitchen range hood installation for a few days. We came to an agreement (all discussed as a private YELP conversation). At the end, I even summed up everything and he AGREED to it. The quote was right around the price I got from everybody else, so nothing special there but because of the ratings we decided to go with him. So he sends us an invoice and a contract. The first thing I see is that there's an important MISSING item in the job description which we had clearly talked about through our digital conversation. Naturally before I make the payment, I brought it to this attention and he tells me that he needs to talk to his installers to see if this is included!!! Of course, few minutes later I get an e-mail that moving the electrical plug is NOT included (it was suppose to be included per our conversation) and on top of that if my ceiling is less then 8' it will cost more. They also don't custom cut the range and all that.... . He never mentioned any of these before and just came up with all these things after sending me an invoice for a %50 deposit. So basically he never took a serious look at my project until I showed concerns... If you're about to place an order with this company, make sure you have all the details in writing before making the deposit. A phone conversation is NOT good enough. Also make sure that everything you've discussed is printed in the contract. For a company that's asking for a %50 deposit, they should really send someone who knows what they're doing to the location ahead of time and get this done properly! read more

This could of been a better rating if they weren't such messy installers. They removed my old tile and put drop cloths on the floor which they didn't even tape down (should of used construction paper) When I mention it to Greg he said that the contract said there would be a mess. They also didn't put anything to catch the mess inside the cabinets. All the ruble fell in. After they installed the counter tops they came back to do the back splash. There foreman didn't come and the wall was uneven. I had to give them some thinner plaster board I had in the garage so they could change out the thicker one.(I was know the foreman) they installed the Caesarstone and it looks good however after a year I had to have the caulking redone. read more

After a disastrous job with a contractor on a bathroom remodel that seemingly was taking forever, I took over the job myself. In one day, I located Choice Granite in Pasadena, found the perfect Quartz countertop and got an excellent quote. The big surprize was it would be cut and installed the next day. These are the least expensive all wood cabinets (no particle board) that I could find. For an entire small/medium sized kitchen, quartz counters, and installation for under 8 grand, this is a fantastic deal. The installers were not perfect but they diligently fixed their mistakes and Greg followed up to make sure they did. Other than a few minor blemishes caused during installation, I am very happy with the kitchen. And at the price I paid, I am extremely happy with the kitchen. I had first gone to IKEA to price things out but was absolutely thrilled to learn that the lovely grey cabinets I wanted were much less expensive at Choice Granite! I found Choice Granite online. I emailed Greg & he responded right away. I gave the measurements & had a quote shortly thereafter. The price was much less than other quotes. I went to visit the Diamond Bar showroom. The Diamond bar location is pretty small with only one gentlemen working. He was helping another customer when I arrived, so I had about a 15 minute wait. He showed me the granite I was interested in. He told me the project would be two days for demo & install. A few months later, after some kitchen remodel, I contacted Greg again to schedule. The installers came out as scheduled. They had demo complete in an hour or so. I was very pleased they said they could complete both demo & install by days end. By the end of the day I had beautiful granite installed. Later that evening I went to open my refrigerator & realized the granite was protruding & I could not open it. I emailed Greg. He emailed right back & said the installer would be out next day between 1-4. Next day, around 4:05 they had not arrived. I called the showroom & a very helpful woman said she would call & find out why the installer had not arrived yet. She called me back within 2 minutes & said they were stuck in traffic & would be at my home in about 40 minutes. I had to leave & left my husband to make sure the job was complete. He texted me after they left that he was very happy with the cut they made & thought I would be too. When I got home I saw the very nice cut (very natural.) I recently had my kitchen countertops replaced by Choice Granite &Kitchen Cabinets. I worked with Greg. He was very professional and easy to work with. They were able to schedule the demo and install within a week. The workers were kind and considerate and did a great job. There were only 2small marks on the walls when they were finished and it was easy to touch up. There was one area at the seam that wasn't smooth, but tidy didn't realize it until after the installers had left. I hired Choice Granite to install a new granite countertop and stainless steel sink in my kitchen. This required demolition of the existing tile and sink, which they did. Greg's price was good and he was very friendly and professional. He was very clear about what was included and what wasn't (for instance, it was up to me to hook the sink back up). He was also the only installer who quoted me the correct number of prefab pieces - the other people who quoted 3 prefab pieces, when all you needed was two. All in all this was a pretty painless experience. We were renovating the bathroom and kitchen in an apartment and had to coordinate all the other activities that happen in a renovation project. We found Choice Granite on Yelp and after reading the reviews decided to check them out. I like that the quoted price included the cabinets, countertops, pulls, and tax and the prices were still very competitive. In spite of the project spanning the holidays we were able to move forward with Greg even staying in touch from New York. He was very flexible with timing and although he would check in to see how things were progressing I never felt pressured to move ahead until we were ready. His team (Sung, Salvador, and Juan) were easy to work with, always on schedule and very efficient. When the bathroom countertop arrived and looked too yellow Juan agreed that I wouldn't be happy with it and suggested I choose a different color even though it was more work for him. I was able to choose a better color that day and Juan came back quickly to complete the job. When we had a small issue with one of the toe kicks Greg had someone out the next morning to fix it. I usually never give bad reviews, but this place had the worst customer service. The lady working there did not even acknowledge us, not even a hello. I am doing a full remodel on my home hoping I can get some help and purchase everything in one place. I had 2 kids with me and she didn't even ask if I needed any help. There was another gentleman who came after us and she helped him before us. I would never come to this place again. Very poor customer service. I waited for 25 minutes to get some assistance. I usually go to local business to help out the city and the economy, but the lady working didn't even acknowledge us. This has been a long time coming. I wanted to upgrade the laminate countertops in my condo with new granite. I looked online and found Design Stone Gallery's website along with several other companies. I then proceeded to review each company on yelp and Choice Granite/DSG really stood out for their reviews. I decided to go to the Pasadena showroom and talk to Greg to see what my options were. He was very informative and helpful and answered any questions I had. He then scheduled the installation the following weekend which was much quicker than I had expected and was a pleasant surprise. This place has an amazing tile selection ! I bought tiles for my bath here. The price was fair and the delivery time was very fast. I even got free delivery because I lived nearby. I was looking for a more contemporary 78" long dual vanity for my master bath remodel and happened upon Choice Granite Pasadena. They were one of the only companies that offered 1) the cabinets and countertop all provided by one company, and 2) prefab countertops that were very reasonably priced. The second point was important because it saved my a LOT of money. Most tile/granite/quartz stores have you buy a slab of stone that then needs to be cut and fabricated. You not only pay for entire slab (which might mean a lot of waste) , but you also have to pay for the cost of the sink cut-outs (approx. $150/each) and the fabrication of the sides and front (approx $40+/linear foot.) Choice Granite offers that too, but they also offer a large selection of standard width (for kitchens or bathroom vanities) prefab granite, quartz, marble and other stone countertops. What would have cost me elsewhere over $1200+ for the counter alone, ended up costing me about $400-$500. The entire beautiful solid wood espresso shaker style vanity with two sink cutouts and backsplash, cost me a about $2300 total including the tax. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL... The day of the install, the installer wasn't aware that the prefab countertop provider had recently changed the dimensions of the front edge, making it 3/4 of an inch thicker than previously. Consequently, when he cut the countertop depth, it didn't fit properly. I called Greg while the installer was still at my home, we sent pictures, etc, ...and after seeing and understanding the problem, Greg told me that he would get a new countertop and it installed the next day. The next day, the installer came back, took out the incorrect counter, cut and installed a new one, and the entire vanity looks beautiful. Once the problem was identified and understood, Greg acted quickly. I really appreciate not only that Choice Granite offered a very reasonable, yet custom alternative to store-bought vanities (the ones available everywhere on the internet), but they came through with excellent quality and customer service.
