Excellent experience with Greg and with Choice Granite. We had a small project (one countertop) to do, and it was Choice Granite that came through with a great selection of prefab countertops to choose from. The demo and the installation of the new countertop went off without a hitch; one of the sidesplashes needed to be cut out to accommodate an outlet on all four sides, and the electrician handling that commented that the installer had done a primo job in getting the stone practically kissing the outlet box on all four sides. All that, and the price for the countertop, sidesplashes, and demo/installation came to substantially less than what we had been quoted from other places. I'm very pleased to finally be rid of the skanky tile counter we've had there for years, and very happy with our experience with Choice Granite. read more

Choice Granite provided excellent work for an excellent price. I had Choice Granite do a complete countertop overhaul, which included the kitchen counters, kitchen island, laundry room, and 3 bathrooms, all with bottom mounted sinks. It was money well spent to get rid of all the track home white tile and upgrade to high quality granite. For the initial estimate I worked directly with Greg, who spent quality time and attention to detail to meet my desired remodel requirements meanwhile staying within my desired budget. The installers did an excellent job as well! The team worked on one area at a time and the demo was well maintained with minimal impact to other living areas. The team did an excellent job with the install insuring all materials were properly cut, beveled, level and well mounted in place. They did an excellent good job working with my requests for sinks mounting and finishes for faucet vanities. Total time spent was approximately 3 days of work which was expected due to the custom fit and finish. I was referred to Choice Granite by my mother in law and i was so glad she did! I went to their Diamond Bar location and was able to pick my items. Of course I loved all the items that were a bit over my budget but Greg helped me out and showed me similar items that will still keep me on track and look gorgeous! Abel and his co worker came and did demo and start installing in one day! He rocked it!! They finished my whole project in less than a week!! Greg, Joe and team are great! Definitely has the view that the customer is number 1! I was remodeling my master bathroom (down to studs). The top three CTQs were 1) Style 2) Budget and 3) Quality Fixtures. After visiting the plumbing store for hardware quotes , Greg was on my list for the tile and cabinet quote. Greg had the typical selection; every thing we wanted and not overwhelming. They were very professional and offered suggestions. A quote came via email in a couple of days, as promised. Greg left me a message as well. Comparing prices, Greg's installed price was very close to a discount warehouse where I had to install myself. Upon visiting the store a second time, left a deposit for the cabinets. A few days later decided to go with them for the tile. At the end of the day, the tile installation was absolutely the best. I had a set of pre-fab countertops I needed installed, and at first I thought such a "small job" might not get much attention from a company that seemed so much higher level than other installers I'd been in touch with, but Greg was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with (FAR more than the other installers), and on top of that he actually had the lowest price of all the installers I'd been in touch with! I cannot believe how happy we are with the work done on our kitchen countertop! We had let a huge crack in our granite site forever thinking that our only solution was redoing the granite - and the dread of trying to find a match lest doing the whole kitchen was overwhelming. My husband concluded that the antique sink was too have (and that I loaded too many dishes!). This company could have taken advantage of that mindset and recommended all new granite....but they listened to us and our needs. With a future renovation likely, they knew we just needed to make it work. They informed us that the sink was not the problem but that the fortifying metal underneath had rusted. They recommended doing an epoxy job to save us tons of money and get the job done in accordance with our current goals. I will try to post before and after because it is amazing! I shopped around and checked a lot of prices, contractors, materials, and user reviews and Greg's prices were much lower than the other. My wife and I are extremely happy with our new quartz counter tops. We shopped around for a few months before walking into Greg and Joe's shop on Colorado Blvd. From the start, everything was a breeze. I came in with a diagram of my kitchen with measurements and Joe was able to give me a quote within 10 minutes. I became pretty obsessive about finding the perfect tile for our 2 bathroom remodels, doing all the legwork myself because we did not use an interior designer. Greg's demo and installation guys trashed my kitchen; disconnected the electric (no hot water the next morning), bashed my dishwasher ( couldn't open the door) and sealed a drawer closed. When the single-slab counter I ordered ($$$) didn't fit since they had used a flexible template and the rigid counter couldn't be maneuvered around the low-slung cabinets, Greg said it wasn't his fault or his workers fault and I would have to pay for the full single slab even though they were going to have to cut it. Fortunately they figured a way to make it work. Finally they sent a guy to do the backsplash, Charlie, that fixed everything the demo and installation guys broke. It took him an entire extra day but he saved the project. And he did a great backsplash! Greg blamed everybody but himself, for the problems, including me. Ugh. I never heard from him from the moment I called about the counter problem until he wanted to settle the bill. Double ugh. Dorothy, his assistant, solved all the problems, made perceptive and helpful design suggestions and Charlie saved everything. Everything turned out fine in the end but no thanks to Greg. read more

I told the employee that I was building a home out of state and he then refused to work with me because he stated that "he assumed I wouldn't buy anything" and that he had far more pressing things to do with "actual" clients. This was completely astounding that he would treat any potential client so rudely. I don't frequently post negative reviews but this experience was so shockingly inconsiderate that I wanted to warn future customers that this stores intentions is only to upsell you rather than work with your needs as a client. I just got my quartz counter tops done at my pasadena home. I am really impressed with the work. They also installed my white shaker kitchen cabinets in both my kitchen and bath. I am really happy with all the work. Everything went great. From demo to finish. I am really so happy with my remodel. I found choice on google with a simple search, they were right up the street so me and my awesome husband (because he paid for it, hes awesome) went to take look and ebfore you knew it i got a new kitchen. The counter tops came out so beautiful flawless joints apron sink cut out perfect. They even gave me a free bottle of sealer. I paid around 15,000 for my huge kitchen, when home depot was around 12,000 but just for cabinets, no counter tops, no labor, nothing, just cabinets not assembled. Zero stars... This company does not even deserve 1 star... Dealing with this company has been a nightmare! I issued my first check on 9/15/15. Today is 11/18/15... 1) First off, Rogelio came and measured everything. He even took my sink's company's template (apron sink). He advised me that there should be a tad of a clearing so that the countertop is to set ever so slightly from the sink. Low and behold he cut the slab exactly as the template - sink's actual measurement with no clearing. We have now a sink slightly out of the countertop, but the countertop corners overlap the sink. See pictures. After 4-5 meetings with company's reps, they still can't come to a resolution with what to do with this. 2) I was quoted with mitered corners, so that no edges showed other than the actual seam. I did not want edges to show, so I went for the higher quote. See pictures. Son, Greg, said that the only way to remedy this is to lift the entire slab and redo it. It "only" will take another month to do so... Father, Martin, says I'm too picky(!!!!) and that they will buff it out. Mind you, I was quoted a higher price for mitered corners. See pictures. Now I have a front of he counter that everyone can see with the slabs just glued together. 3) I purchased an apron sink. This company (Choice) has absolutely NO experience with apron sinks. Rogelio and his staff did an awful job with clear epoxy. See pictures. Ruben then came to fix the problem and did a colored epoxy(?). Seeing that it still looked horrible, Ruben suggested that I "fix" it. I did, and it did looked a tad better. However, it still looks awful - very amateurish. You be the judge and see the pictures yourself. Father, Martin, says they can clean it up... Why the heck wasn't this done in the first place and relieved me of having complained about it again and again!!! After TWO months!!! Again, father/owner says I'm too picky. You be the judge and determine whether YOU want to deal with this CR@P. Holidays are coming and I'm nowhere close to having a construction-free holiday. 12/8/15 A compromise was reached between parties. read more

Been talking to Greg about a kitchen range hood installation for a few days. We came to an agreement (all discussed as a private YELP conversation). At the end, I even summed up everything and he AGREED to it. The quote was right around the price I got from everybody else, so nothing special there but because of the ratings we decided to go with him. So he sends us an invoice and a contract. The first thing I see is that there's an important MISSING item in the job description which we had clearly talked about through our digital conversation. Naturally before I make the payment, I brought it to this attention and he tells me that he needs to talk to his installers to see if this is included!!! Of course, few minutes later I get an e-mail that moving the electrical plug is NOT included (it was suppose to be included per our conversation) and on top of that if my ceiling is less then 8' it will cost more. They also don't custom cut the range and all that.... . He never mentioned any of these before and just came up with all these things after sending me an invoice for a %50 deposit. So basically he never took a serious look at my project until I showed concerns... If you're about to place an order with this company, make sure you have all the details in writing before making the deposit. A phone conversation is NOT good enough. Also make sure that everything you've discussed is printed in the contract. For a company that's asking for a %50 deposit, they should really send someone who knows what they're doing to the location ahead of time and get this done properly! read more
