Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the chicken fried rice and pork pad thai. Salad came out and them choice of corn fritters, dumpling or spring roll. I always liked this place, especially fond of their Pad See Ew and Pad Thai. However , after a long layoff, I ordered Chicken Massaman and it was extremely disappointing. The curry tasted like curry flavored water and the chicken was low grade . My favorite Thai restaurant of all time. I average here about once a week and have tried quite a few dishes. The staff is so friendly! They also have a great lunch special. And so small that the restaurant doesn't offer any bathroom to it's customers (the sign said as ordered by the health department) so we were afraid to drink a lot because we didn't want to have to use the bathroom he he! We ordered the Pad Kee Maow, green curry and crab fried rice! The pad kee meow was pretty spicy and a little on the sweet side than I'm used to for eating drunken noodle. The green curry was very good and very spicy with a big portion accompanying rice. The crab fried rice is definitely something that I would come back for! We also ordered thai lychee teas which I think is good on it's own but not served with all of the savory foods that we had because it was pretty sweet. The staff there is very friendly! read more

Spicy, nice array of lemongrass and mushrooms, and not too much fish sauce flavor. The chicken also didn't taste tough or overcooked, which is a common complaint of mine with tom yum. I had the red curry as an entree, and it was fantastic. Good amount of heat, not too thin, and loaded with veggies that have been properly cut to soak up the sauce. We were seated quickly and the waitress was very nice and accommodating. The salad and spring rolls were delicious. When it came to the pad Thai I was very disappointed. They give you a heaping amount of food for lunch and a great price, but the smell that came off the food was sickening. It smelt like wet dog. I couldn't even eat the rest of my meal and neither could the people with me. Our bubble tea and Thai iced tea to go also fell flat. Chok Dee...how much do I love you? Let me count the ways... 1. Pretty much every app on the menu is great. My absolute favorite is the order of spring rolls. The dipping sauce is sooooo good. The rolls are so crispy, it's like a 10 minute love affair while I eat those gorgeous babies. 2. One word: Curry. Get it. When I moved to Norwood, I didn't know where I could get any decent curry. Then Chok Dee arrived and my life was complete. The red and green curries are beyond mind-blowing and even though they are very hot and I temporarily go blind and lose my hearing when I eat them, SO worth it. 3. Prices are beyond reasonable for the portions. The lovely owner will steer you towards dishes that compliment your tastes. 4. Finally, that Thai iced tea. Yes, THAT one. So good I cannot handle it. I would suck these tasty beverages down 24/7 if I could. These are the best thing to ever happen to iced tea. I really love the owners and their hospitality. Came here for lunch one day with a co-worker. Very solid Thai food at great prices, especially for lunch. The place is small, but well decorated. I would like to sit and eat sometime. I had the Squid Pad Thai lunch special, which was well prepared and came with a salad and some vegetable dumplings. My one pet peeve with most pad thais is when they are not dry and are overly sweet. I am so happy that they opened up a Thai Food place near my house and even better that the food is AWESOME! The food at Chok Dee is amazing and the owner is extremely kind and helpful. The food is so good that I went there two times this past weekend. I told the owner that I was looking for a specific dish that wasn't on the menu and she told me next time she will make it for me. The restaurant is geared for take out food, but there are a few tables in the restaurant as well. The prices are pretty cheap compared to what other restaurants charge for Thai food. Fantastic lunch, stopped in today after reading all the glowing reviews on Yelp. Ordered the pad sweet and sour chicken and the BBQ ribs for lunch. WOW, I am officially impressed. I walked in placed my order, and in 10 minutes was walking out with my lunch; expertly wrapped with rubber bands and a plastic bag to keep the food hot. The dining area is on the small side if you plan to eat in, but very very clean. Portions were big enough for a lunch order, can't wait to go back and try everything else. The ribs were delicious; the meat was extremely tender and nearly fell off the bone. The curry puffs were prepared just right -- light and flaky, with a nice curry center. For dinner, we had the beef noodle soup, mussels in basil sauce, and grilled pork with the noodles and peanut sauce. All dishes were wonderful. The beef soup was flavorful, with tender meat.
