I am a harsh critic and I must say, the food here is 10/10! No frills Chinese restaurant with quick and friendly service. You can tell they really care about their customers and never got frustrated when we kept asking different questions about the menu/ sauce options. Wish we had a great spot like this in the city, authentic and very inexpensive! We got: - Orange Chicken: Delicious chicken, whole meal came out piping hot. This dish comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. True orange flavors 9/10 - Beef and Broccoli (my fav): Crunchy broccoli that's not over cooked. Perfect beef and broccoli sauce. Comes with a side of white rice 10/10 - Hot and Sour Soup: On the more mild side of hot and sour soup, actually no kick at all, could use more white pepper but was refreshing when paired with the fried rice. Gets the job done but could use more flavoring 7/10 Will def stop by whenever in the area for inexpensive, quick, authentic eats! read more

During COVID-19 this was my first and second time to order contactless home delivery from here using their website and my credit card for payment. A number of my neighbors recommended this place. My first time I ordered their C19 combination Hot/Spicy chicken with pork fried rice and egg roll for only $10.15. Their delivery to my home was on schedule. There was a $1 credit card processing fee and a $1 delivery charge to my home. The second time I ordered their C20 shrimp with garlic sauce combination for $10.65. I selected medium spicy rather than mild or hot. Overall I was pleased with the quality and quantity of both of my dinners. I will continue to order from this place. Next time I will probably try their hot/spicy beef combination also for $10.15. I prefer hot/spicy Chinese. read more

We had ordered Christmas Eve based on a recommendation from a neighbor, we thought it was pretty good, it's totally take out, but around us I've found hit or miss, I had tried one other place before choosing it for our big party last weekend, we ordered 7 dif dishes carpeting style. Some were excellent others lacked protein (not much beef in the beef and broccoli, like an insane amount of broccoli)... same with the shrimp dish. I'm a moo shu lover and the first time around it was soooo good, it felt lackluster for the catered version and not only that, they sent us Mexican tortillas instead of the traditional pancake, tisk tisk on that, it was more expensive then some of the other dishes. I would have ordered veg dumplings but theirs are waaay too dense for take out. I'm Chinese food out for a while, so not sure if we'd order from them again, it's a possibility. read more

Prices are reasonable and they deliver pretty fast. Food is always fresh and hot. I typically do not care for Chinese food, but this place hits the spot. My boyfriend loves this place and he goes more frequently than I do. I normally get their specialty house special wontons, and they are delicious. Their pineapple chicken is also really good, as well as their crab rangoon. The owner is so pleasant too. He is a genuine person, and actually cares about his establishment. The best take out casual Chinese food ever...knocks all others out of the park. Portion sizes are big, with emphasis on the protein and veggies over just the rice. Not too greasy or a salt lick. They never overfry the chicken for saucier numbers like general tso so you don't get the hardened, then chewy textures that are typical with some other place's dishes. read more

Ehhh. Standard issue chinese take out at best and that's a little generous. I ordered 5 items didn't really love them. Something was missing. Maybe they didnt flour the chicken before frying. Maybe they are skipping a cooking step like blanching for some of the food...not sure but something was off (I order enough chinese food to know). Also I threw out a couple items because it tasted like there was a hint of soap or cleaning supplies. I probably should have driven over there and demanded a refund in hindsight. read more

The food here is always great, but tonight (5/10/17) it was exceptional. I think I just had the best eggroll I've ever eaten. And on a plan old Wednesday night. I don't know why my previous review was removed--because I think this is the best Chinese food I've ever had. Crisp eggrolls, delicious fried rice, awesome crab rangoon...really, everything you'd expect from a great takeout place and more. Of course I only speak for myself, but it never takes us more than 15 minutes to get our food and the service is always very pleasant. Last time I said and I'll say it again--I hope that if I am ever on death row that the warden will know the number for this place--and order me the boneless spareribs as my last meal. I go here a couple times a month. They serve pretty standard Chinese take out and their combination platters are a pretty good deal for the amount of food you get. The General Tso's chicken is tasty when they don't overcook it. A very good sign is that their shrimp always seems to taste fresh and they don't skimp on the seafood in the Happy Family platter. read more

I have tried this take out restaurant for a couple of times. It was so convenient that I could just went to the website to place my order and then took out without waiting for a long time. Whenever I got my food, they were hot and tasty. I had shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg roll this time and both of them were delicious as usual. Staffs were professional and had quick movement so I could take my food in a minute. They were generous with offering meats in my plates, and shrimps were juicy and fresh! I very much enjoyed my experience at this fine eatery. I placed my order at 6:30 PM and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived to pick up my food at 7pm, thinking I would give them extra time. To my delight, I saw that my order had not been started yet, and there were three others ahead of me who had also been told 20 minutes. We were able to sit and enjoy the show. Yes we had free dinner theater. Our hostess had a pleasant screeching voice that sounded like the staccato of gunfire as she took phone orders and called out the numbers of those who waited. Every phone order was told 20 minutes, even though it was now 7:25 PM for me, going on an hour since my order and 40 minutes past the scheduled pick up. The orders kept coming, and the 20 minute time was promised. Finally, the staccato of gun fire rings out my phone number. The people who had come in after me, and now saw they would wait beyond their promised time stated, "You are the lucky one!". The hostess took my money and handed over the bag. I ran home expecting great food with the hopeful expectation that the taste would be proportional to the number of customers and the wait time. Citizens of Closter.....there is nothing bad about the food, but nothing special either. It is your average American Chinese food, thick on sauces, greasy, but good. However, you can pretty much get this anywhere. There are places in Closter, and I like Joy Food Kitchen up the road in Northvale, and all seem to have less drama in getting your food. We love the couple that own this lovely take out restaurant as well as their food!! They are always very accommodating with any special requests. Their on the bone BBQ ribs as well as boneless are just the best in the area! We also love their house chow mien, beef low mien and shrimp fried rice. Everything they make is fresh, flavorful and they give a great quantity for the price. We get food from them at least once a week which last us several days. We highly recommend this restaurant!
