To be honest, barbecue should stand on its own without sauce and sauce should only be there to enhance the flavor. The meat was tender, but I couldn't really get a feel for the flavor of the meat because the sauce interfered with that. The pulled pork plate was good. Also, my girlfriend said she enjoyed that. But again, sauce should come on the side in my opinion. I have no real complaint against this place, but I wish I had known ahead of time that the ribs came with sauce on them and I wish that I had known that there were only four ribs on the plate, I would've ordered a whole rack. Prices are good, the place is clean, and as I said, the owners are very welcoming and warm people. Give this place a go, it's worth a trip! But just ask questions before you order!

My sandwich was ready in under five minutes. It would have been quicker except the logs were freshly made. No complaints either way. The sandwich was good but not great. The pork had a slight smoked flavor but the meat was a bit dry. The slaw and bbq sauce helped. The logs are indeed chucks of potato, and I got a lot of them. I was certainly full after finishing. Truth be told, I also finished off the pork that fell out of my sandwich as well. Dixie is certainly a viable option for a quick lunch.
