Ate there a few weeks ago on Saturday 8/14. Food was pretty impressive. Waitress was friendly and did a great job. I couldn't complain. So I was happy to go back a couple weeks later on Sunday 8/22 to order food to bring back home. Slaw was plain and tasteless, potatoe salad was plain and lacking any flavor, baked beans were decent. Ordered ribs and brisket. Ribs were nearly disgusting. At the end of the meal I had more bone and gristle left on my plate than you can imagine. Also, the brisket was about 90% fat and was inedible. I was sick nearly immediately after attempting to eat. Meal was a complete waste of time and money. I will not be back again. read more

This site has been under ownership by several different owners, mostly BBQ and over the years we have been there many times. It's located in a little hollow off of Highway 58 and you need to look for it as the sign is set back off of the highway. We ordered brisket sandwich's and fries which were done to perfection. The brisket was delicious, no fat, tender, great flavor and a adequate amount of meat that was on a Nedlof bun. Fries were crispy as requested. Reason for 4 stars, it's pricey as the bill was $30+ for two sandwich's, fries and 2 cokes. I guess we need to get used this as their costs to purchase the food has risen dramatically. We stopped here out of convenience and I'm so glad we did! I had the pulled pork sandwich and my husband had the smokehouse burger and both were delicious. The waitress was super friendly and the service was quick. Their outdoor seating is dog friendly so that was a bonus! read more

First time here and pleasantly surprised. I am not a BBQ fan, however there are limited options on our drive home, so decided to give it a shot. Danielle our server was pleasant and very attentive. Today was only her 4th day, and she did great. I chose the hand battered chicken strips plate with FF and a side salad. It was good and the only change I would do next time is to tell them to hold on the season salt. My husband got the brisket plate with cole slaw and a side salad. Brisket was moist (although for $14 you would expect a little more of it), the cole slaw he said was nothing special, and the side salads were fresh and nice sized! Visited with local family the other weekend (I'm from out of state) and had the best BBQ I've eaten in a long time! I got a chopped pork sandwich with fries and it was amazing. We had a minor issue with some orders but the waitress and staff were very professional, accommodating, and never complained. Delicious barbecue!! We had the pulled pork and it met all of my criteria of what determines good barbecue: great flavor, perfect smoke, and juicy (because NO ONE likes dry barbecue!). My grandsons and I had a very good lunch today. I had pulled pork sandwich with fries, baked beans and sweet iced tea. One grandson had chicken tenders with fries and the other had a grilled cheese sandwich with fries and drinks. We all thought the food was very good and decided we would make this a frequent place to eat. Service was fast and friendly. Iced tea was very tasty and just right on sweetness. Me and my husband ate here and LOVED it! I had the bbq pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and baked beans. He had the dry rub ribs with Mac & cheese and green beans! And we loved every single bite! Service was great & the atmosphere was enjoyable! We both had to refrain from clearing our plates, but both enjoyed it all over again for lunch! Would highly recommend this bbq restaurant! Only negative I will say is the banana pudding might need some adjusting in the recipe, sadly we didn't enjoy that. But we will for sure be back plenty of times in the near future! read more

We live down the road from the newest Choo Choo BBQ...so convenient for a quick pickup or dine in. We have seen restaurants come and go in this location so was excited to see another new BBQ restaurant show up recently. We have visited a couple of times...smoked wings the first time and Mac & Cheese that came highly recommended. Both were great! The next round I went with pulled pork and two sides; I decided to go with green beans...if a restaurant can perfect them then they are doing good as most restaurants dump them out of a can and warm them. Well, I was not disappointed as the food was great and may I add the portions are large. The servers are friendly and helpful explaining the menu and answering our questions. Love sitting outside on the porch. You may have to wait in a table as business appears to be going great...all good, it is worth the wait. We will be visiting often! read more

Great food and good prices. Had the sausage, pickles and cheese appetizer. I had the Street Tacos with brisket, pork and chicken, They were delicious. Husband had the pork sandwich with fries. I had high hopes for this place but sadly it's average food. Out of ribs the day we went. Out of pamento cheese as well. Ordered the brisket and smoked sausage( in place of ribs) and the brisket taste burnt. Like it had been held in a warming pan and then thrown back in the smoker when you ordered it. We've tried to try this place several times with failed attempts (wouldn't answer phone for carry out order, being closed) but I can say it's no big loss now. read more
