A Little Local Gem…read more Prino's is truly one of those little places that deserves ALL the love! The food is absolutely delicious, but what makes this place even more special is the people. Every single person I've met there is so kind, welcoming, and genuinely sweet. Every time I pick up an order, they always take the time to chat with me and make me feel welcome. And I have to give a special shoutout to Sophia! She is always so kind and friendly, and it honestly makes a difference when you walk into a place and are greeted by people who are genuinely happy to see you. The restaurant is always clean, the food is fresh and delicious, and the whole atmosphere just feels like a place where people care about what they do.. Prino's, keep doing what you're doing! You have amazing food and an even more amazing team.

We ordered soup and salad, which came with pita bread and a turkey burger, but the burger didn't include fries, which was a little disappointing. The salad was fresh, and the soup was packed with flavor. There's just something about dining at a family-owned restaurant, and you could tell the regulars because the matron was all smiles and dispensing hugs Babuška style. Definitely worth a visit.

I would say this is more of a 3.5, rather than a 4 star review, continue reading ... The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out, with blue lights throughout. We loved that! We sat outside and were happy that the patio area wasn't very hot and that the nice large umbrellas protected us from the sun and were lit up when it got dark. We started with Saganaki, which included pita. It was flambed table side and delicious, we all loved it. We also had Calamari, I don't eat it but husband and daughter really enjoyed it. For entrees, husband had the special (filet mignon w/crab cake and shrimp on top), that came with mash potatoes and veggies. The steak was good but undercooked, the crab cake was good. Daughter had the pasta, she didn't really love it. I had the lamb shank with orzo. I don't usually like lamb but it was very tender and didn't have the aftertaste that usually comes with lamb. The service was very good, waiter was very attentive, replenished waters often and made good suggestions. Although we liked the restaurant, we felt that as a Greek restaurant there should be more Greek styled pork, chicken dishes. We also felt that some items were overpriced, specialty dish was $75, rib eye was $68, lamb shank was $55, roasted chicken was $39, etc. We will not return for another dinner, but might consider going for lunch to get gyros and Saganaki.

I am Lebanese, and she thought I would enjoy the atmosphere and cuisine given that Ammoora is a modern Syrian restaurant. And she was right! Although it's listed as a modern Syrian restaurant, you will find products (such as some of their alcohols/liquors) representative of much of the Middle East. And as I'm sure you know, many dishes are similar or the same! I cannot say enough great things about Ammoora. I arrived 30 minutes before the rest of my group since I had a long commute, but I had a great time sitting at the bar enjoying some Arabic coffee. I also had the "Ashta Affair" which is a silky smooth cream based alcoholic beverage with just a touch of spices, and was such a great take on the very same Ashta I make at home. The bar tenders were such a delight to talk to. They made me feel like I was right at home. My party arrived and we were then taken to our table, where I felt I was transported back to the Middle East, as the dining room is decorated floor to ceiling in colors, patterns, furniture and linens. I was met with a sense of nostalgia that only added to this amazing experience. Then came the food. You can go to a thousand Middle Eastern restaurants, and each will have their own take on a dish, and that's what I loved about Ammoora. Their dishes were still very authentic, and had its own slight spin on it, making it even more incredible. We had a sampling appetizer that consisted of hummus, baba ghanoush, olives, and various other dips, followed by fettoush, the lamb, and the semki harra. I came with two non-middle eastern friends (one who had been there before) and both of them said that the food was out of this world, and I couldn't agree more. There is something for everyone here. You could come here for their extensive and unique drink menu alone and have a great time. And if you don't care to drink, then the dining menu will absolutely transport you and your tastebuds to a place of nostalgia, whether you've been to the Middle East before or not. I cannot wait to bring my whole family for unique and excellent dining experience. Everyone from the owner to the wait staff were extremely hospitable, and you can tell that their priority is in making sure your experience is unforgettable.

As someone who eats plant-based, I really appreciated that they offer a separate vegan dinner menu--and not just a few side dishes thrown together. I could actually enjoy a full, thoughtfully prepared meal! My dinner: Muhamara + Baba Ghanouj to share Harissa Roasted Cauliflower + Saffron Jeweled Rice Pistachio Ghazal el Banat for dessert. Everything was delicious. The service was exceptional again, which says a lot about the consistency of this restaurant. And although it was absolutely freezing outside that evening, Ammoora was warm, cozy, elegant, and beautiful inside. Another wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back!

The muhammara is so unique and addicting, if we didn't have a ton of food coming, I would eat 2 orders. For our entree, we split the family combo and ordered 6 add'l lamb chops because they are exceptional here. Cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned, these aren't the tiny chops you find at most places. These are huge, pork chop size and by far, the best entree on the menu. The family combo came with lamb chops, beef/chicken kababs, lamb/chicken adana, kofta, rice, salad, and more pita. With the exception of the overcooked beef kabab, all other meats were moist, tender, and really flavorful. Service was also very good on a busy dinner evening. Will return soon.

The hostess was good, she wanted to seat us in an enclosed section, saying it was warmer. The waitress returned to our table often and met all of our needs. The food was yummy and fresh. I enjoyed bringing some home to eat the next day. This restaurant should have 3 dollar signs because 95% of the entrees are over $30. One star is lost for atmosphere. No matter how nice the decor was, needing my coat and scarf to eat indoors was ridiculous. You see the reason we weren't seated in the warmer section (the hostess's words) was because the owner told her to seat us elsewhere. We learned that he was the owner when our waitress gave us rice pudding from Rudy. We didn't complain and that pudding almost earned the star back. UNTIL my husband stopped at a room heater that was positioned away from our table. Ugh

For a couple of months my friend, who is of Turkish heritage and lives out in Germantown, wanted to meet me closer to my home to go to Cazbar. We went on Saturday, 9/6/25 for lunch (lunch prices are better as why I shot for lunch time). We walked in, and it was fancy Middle Eastern decor. Server was nice & efficient answering questions. I got their take on flatbread pizza called Lamb Pide. Wow, the lamb and pizza as a whole was amazing. My friend got some more expensive platter, which looked good. If I came back, I'd maybe get something like what he got. My friend (& me to a lesser extent) were cogitating on getting a dessert. I think me saying we ate a lot, it's extra calories, & prices are pretty high for dessert, ended up swaying him not to get dessert. Plus, there was a Greek festival and might get a baklava or other dessert there, which I did. Overall, my impression was wow, this place is impression, and I want to go with my girlfriend one of these days, maybe on a weekend before a movie at AMC Columbia or something.

We had a reservation, which I'd highly recommend. The place was packed. It shares space with other businesses but everyone was at Cazbar. They had an amazing belly dancer, Crystal! She was really good. She interacted with the crowd. It didn't matter where you sat. She went around to everyone and even provided dessert with a sparkler to anyone celebrating a birthday. Very cool! Speaking of cool. They have iPads as their menu. Fancy! The "Topkapi torch" was really good. A spicy bourbon drink! I got two! I would come back just for this drink. We tried a few apps. The beef pastry was delicious. We also did a sweet potato dish. The beef was my fave! For my entree, I did chop chop, which came with chicken and lamb. I thought it was good but not really worth the price point! Our server was just ok. He seemed a bit distracted and wasn't super personable but it didn't take away from the overall experience. The manager was very engaging and friendly. We would visit again!
