Kabobs are good. I wanted to go food. Got a plate knife and fork. And the place needed some cleaning. But the food is good.

Food: Red meat mix - 8/10 Chicken shawarma 9/10 I have a lot of army friends say that this restaurant serves the best chicken shawarma so i had to give it a try. The chicken shawarma was so good i had to call the restaurant back to let them know! Service: That night was pretty packed, called in about 20 mins before heading to the restaurant then had to wait 45 mins. But the owner was very nice and apologized for the wait. He offered 2 drinks on the house which was very delicious! (Calypso drinks) Would i come again? Yes!

    Huge Naan.

If you're in the mood for kababs, Kabab Villa has you covered. The family and I got a few items to try out. First off, naan. Yes, naan. It's huge, approaching the size of a lavash loaf. It covered a plate. This was great for mopping up sauce. The spinach puree was really good, nice and rich. Perfect with naan and/or rice. Would get again. Of the kababs, it's mostly meat (though I think they have a vegetarian option on the lunch menu). The beef and chicken were fine. Nothing spectacular, but still good. The real winners were the lamb (shish kebab) and the chicken koubideh. The koubideh is ground meat mixed with spices, and it really makes for a supremely tender and flavorful kebab. Lamb is good on its own, but this was particularly well-seasoned too. Add a bunch of rice and a side salad and you've got a filling meal. Prices are decent and prep time is reasonable. Would come back.

This restaurant was very close to our hotel so we decided to order takeout for dinner after reviewing the menu. Both hubby and I ordered the Double Beef Koubideh which was good. Prices seem to have increased a bit from what was on their website.

Kabab Villa is an outstanding restaurant. I ordered a lamb and beef kabab platter, as well as their dish called the crazy chicken. The meals came with a basket of fresh flat bread that could easily feed several people. Each platter consisted of huge portions of meat, flavored rice and fresh vegetables. The staff at the restaurant went above-and-beyond to ensure you had what you needed, as well as provided exceptional customer service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

***Update: I am sad to say that I am decreasing my review. The prices have increased, portions have decreased, and the quality isn't as good as it was. My favorite dish remains to be the butter chicken curry, but it was thinner than usual. The food was still good but we paid $76 for takeout for three people. This seems really steep. I doubt we will be back now. Unfortunate!

    Chickpeas and naan

I could live off of the chickpeas and naan- so good! The naan is fluffy and perfectly toasty. The staff are always kind. I'm not in this part of town often, but when I am this is a great stop.

It's my first time here. I have tried 4 dishes: - Beef Kubideh Kabab - Beef Chapli Kabab - Chicken Kubideh Kabab - Lamb Shish Kabab All of them are so tasty. The food portion is good with the reasonable price. Me and my boyfriend did really enjoy our food so much. I will be back for sure.

    Crazy Chicken

One of the best restaurants in the Catonsville/Woodlawn area. When I have to go to the office this is my go to place for lunch. All of the food is fresh and seasoned to perfection. I always get the crazy chicken and the curry chic peas. Check it out if you haven't you won't be disappointed.

Finally, we got a piece of harissa on our way out and it was decent (just a little too cold for my liking). Our waitress was nice and attentive. The ambiance is cute. Loud pop music greets you as you walk in. Zauq is to the right. It seemed like a lot of folks were picking up classic American fare: wings, onion rings, other chicken dishes, but I was coming for some Halal food. I got a large rice platter with mixed chicken and lamb. The shredded chicken was okay; could have used more seasoning or something, but that's why they give you white and/or red sauce. The lamb was basically cubed gyro meat, which I enjoyed; I would get a platter of just this next time. You can add as many toppings as you'd like, including onion, lettuce, tomato, chickpeas, pickles, and hot peppers. Make it what you want. For $9.99 (as of 2025), that's a bargain for the amount of food you get. Overall it tasted pretty good. I think if I come back I'm going to try out the falafel and/or the fried chicken sandwiches. The folks are friendly and fast. The whole place, staff and clientele, seemed to be a melting pot of every ethnic group imaginable - Woodlawn baby, gotta love it. There's a Shahada posted above the counter in both Arabic and English, but the food is for everyone and I'm here to say, it's solid. You won't be disappointed.

This past Sunday some friends and I met for dinner on the last day of Restaurant Week! We made a reservation and so glad we did. They open at 5 and it got packed very quickly. Since it was Restaurant Week, that was the only menu available. That was fine with us. They had great options and at $45 for 3 courses, it was a steal. Some items had a slight upgrade, but still not bad. They also included an optional $30 wine pairing (3 different wines - 1 per course). I had the salad and it was good and filling. I didn't want to finish it because I still had two more courses to go. The smoked and roasted chicken for my entree was delicious. The sides accompanied the dish really well. Finally, the blood orange upside down cake was yummy. Everyone else got the sweet potato pie. I'm not big on pies! I had to get my favorite cocktail, "Tilted Word." I get this every time I've been here. Our server, Zoe was great. The manager, Adalike (not sure the spelling), came by to check on us. Thank you for the great service!

I can't speak on the customer service because I didn't talk to anyone. I ordered at the kiosk and they called my number and that was it. I paid $19.45 for my meal. I order a side of falafels (3) and the street bowl with beef flank, tzatziki, and mild red pepper sauce. The falafels were way too crispy. I feel like compared to other falafels I've tried these were on the hard side. Thankfully I had some tzatziki sauce to dip them in, if I didn't, they would have been a little hard to eat. The flavor was okay but the texture was not appealing. I really wanted to get beef shawarma but they were out so I opted for the beef flank. I wish I would have just gotten chicken instead. The bowl came with rice and a lettuce salad that was underneath the beef. I'm not sure if the lettuce had arugula in it as well, but the lettuce gave sort of a bitter taste which I did not care for at all. Did not taste good so I would add a lot of tzatziki sauce to it to cut down on the bitter taste. The beef was okay, nothing to rave about. I was just very underwhelmed with my food. Not sure if I would give it a try again. If so, I would definitely get something else or build my own bowl maybe. Try it for yourself and see how you like it.

One is more of an expected dining room, and the other is a table space near the bar. We were seated in the latter section. I will say this was my only minor complaint. It seems like they want to be an upscale dining experience, but the presence of TVs playing sports is killing the vibe. However, the service and food by far compensated for that. Carolyn (I believe was her name) was our server, and she was just fantastic. She was pleasant and attentive. My daughter and I split four of the mezzedes, and I ordered the mushroom soup and she ordered a side of lemon potatoes. My favorite dish was the wood-fired olives. Simple, but so very good. She loved the halloumi so much, we got a second order (it is a super small serving). The spanikopita, on the other hand, was quite large and meant for sharing. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was nice and tried her best to be attentive even though the kitchen was so backed up and moving at a snails pace. The pita bread was delicious. The desserts were great. My favorites were the baklava and loukoumades. Really the only dessert I didn't care for was the chocolate rum and roses cake because I'm not a big rose fan because it has the tendency of overpowering the other flavors in certain treats. The negatives: The kitchen was very slow at getting things out, even though the restaurant wasn't packed. Aside from the desserts, I didn't care for the food. The biggest issue was everything was lukewarm by the time we received it at our table. The hummus was just ok. The bread was great alone. The Greek village salad had way more feta than anything else and needed more oil and vinegar. The spanakopita was ok but some batches came out burnt but they were never hot. The Cyprus meatballs were so burnt that we couldn't even eat them. The lamb and beef dip was too salty. The stuffed grapes leaves were just ok. The macaronia tou fournou had the potential to be really good but it was not warm enough. I want to believe it was just a bad night and maybe their food is better outside of restaurant week but I'm afraid to try again and be disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning.
