Best tasting and biggest serving of pad Thai for a great price! I drive here from Harlingen and it well worth the drive!

The portions were good but the rice was so dry and clumpy. So unappealing. I ordered Chicken with vegetables and they came back with Chicken with cashews. I didn't want to wait another 15 minutes for my food so I just settled for it. I told the waiter that I didn't order that and she argued with me saying "yes you did". That irritated me. I ordered fried rice and it's basically dry rice with soy sauce on it. No peas or carrots or egg. Never going back. I've only been there twice and the first time I got food to go and it was orange chicken and it was literally leaking into the bag which was very disappointing. I wasn't to impressed. Had soft shell crab, it as over fried and the dipping sauce was too salty. The vermicelli with shrimp and beef was plan. No real flavor! The service sucked!! read more

I tried their pho. It was pretty good. I'm always glad to find non-Chinese Asian food in the Valley, mostly because it's such a rarity (I do love Chinese food too). I'll probably go back to try something else on the menu. read more

So for example. I'm a customer, apperantly I had a bad experience in the restaurant. I myself wouldn't be back again. Well is so happen that this Philippines customers come in and insult the manager even the server, say bad things about the restaurant and then to top it off, they posted bad stuff in social media and still come back as if nothing happened. I love the shrimp fried rice, I order it with extra veggies. Personally, I don't like their beef and chicken, it tastes like cheap meat - chewy beef and fatty chicken - so I just stick with the shrimp which I love. But I know other people that like their beef and chicken dishes. The egg rolls are good too. The service is lacking, they're not too informed on the menu and pricing, at least when I have gone. read more

This review concerns the Edinburg location only. There has never been a decent Asian eatery in Edinburg - so I was very hopeful when this place opened recently. I read positive reviews about their Mission location. Unfortunately after a take out order for my family, we won't be eating here ever again. First, upon entering the restaurant to place our order, there was a bad smell from their plumbing. Second, while ordering, I had to wait while the manager yelled at one of his employees on the phone for not showing up to work yet. Third, the food was just plain awful. The General TSO chicken was bland and unimaginative. The rice was overcooked and tasteless. Even the broccoli was yellowed and wilted. The hot & sour soup was watery, vinegary, and inedible. And believe it or not, even the fortune cookies were stale and gross!!! AVOID THIS PLACE! read more

I placed an order to go many times and 3 out of those many times got me sick because the food looked like and tasted like it was made in a hurry. The service also needs to get it together as well because it would take 30 mins to get a waiter or waitress during lunch hours. Beware of overcrowding during lunch hour. The drive thru line also reaches up to the streets during lunch hour, so don't be surprised. Is the wait worth it? their food is marginal. i ordered take out and waited more than i should have because the employees forgot that the several bags of food in front of them were for the take out customer. The vietnamese rolls was marginal. they were barely passable. usually i want to finish an order of vietnamese rolls but not these. i left them out for others to finish and no one did. for myself, i had the rice plate. the rice was warm and hard. even mom and pop chinese restaurants are capable of keeping their rice from going hard so soon. the chicken was tough. the lomein was slightly better. my sister liked her sweet and sour. i wouldn't return. not worth it. i'd rather get some inauthentic asian food elsewhere like Panda Express. read more

We usually eat at Hop Tung, but their service is terrible. After passing this place a few times, we decided to try it. Combination fried rice is great, the chicken egg rolls are very good too. I'm not sure where all the negative reviews on service are coming from. We have always been greeted with a smile, food is out within 15 minutes. My husband asked what they recommended that was spicy. They offered several choices and even told him they could make it as hot as he wanted. I can feed a family of 4 and have leftovers for the price I paid for two to eat at Hop Tung. read more

The portions are great but the quality of the Chinese/Vietnamese food is mediocre at best. If you aren't familiar with Asian food, the food will taste decent. Foods delish reasonably priced but service is hit and miss depending on who is waiting/ serving on you. Our server kept telling us to give tips we were not even halfway done with our meal. I just went to Chopstix yesterday evening around 5:00 PM. I had gone there before when it was under previous management. It was always clean and have never found anything in my food until last night (under new ownership/management). I picked up my order at the drive-thru and when we were eating at home, my eleven year old little girl was about 1/4 done with her food when inside she found a cockroach. I was mortified.
