Cleanliness: 5 Ambience: 4 Food: 4 Service: 5 Prices: 4 Our family enjoyed a nice meal here to celebrate my son's promotion. He loves crawfish and says LA Crawfish has the best in the RGV. I will take his word for it as I not personally a fan of the little mud bugs. Thankfully they have plenty of other options: blue, snow and king crab; boiled or fried shrimp, chicken bites or wings, po-boys or baskets, gumbo, various kinds of pho, and more. They take your order at the counter. My wife told the young lady who took our order she wanted shrimp but not any that included a head. The fried butterfly shrimp was suggested and my wife was pleased with her choice. My girls ordered chicken and I got the snow crab. All very good. We recommend the wings over the "chicken bites". The service was over the top: friendly and attentive from start to finish. Three different people came by our table more than once to offer refills or whatever we needed. At one point we decided to order another basket and they took the order from the table rather than requiring us to get back in line. The crab was served with scissors and a tool to crack the shells. There are also bibs and gloves so you can eat without wearing your food. It's very casual and tables are covered with a thin plastic tablecloth which when you're through everything is gathered up easily to throw away. The crawfish and crab boils are served in plastic bags along with any potatoes, corn on the cob or andouille sausage. There are plastic utensils and plenty of paper towels. I had tried the beignets at the other location and was disappointed as they didn't seem anything like the large square ones I had enjoyed at Cafe Dumond in New Orleans. These are shaped like French fries and served on some icing before they're dusted with powdered sugar. So I did not order any this time. Others like them. The atmosphere is loud and like a sports bar with large screen TVs on every wall. Most played sports. One was playing a movie inappropriate for small children. I hope that's not always the case. The restrooms were clean. The parking lot is a bit crowded at peak times. So you may have to park around back. Overall we enjoyed our meal. If you like crawfish, my son insists they're the best and biggest. Their crab is certainly excellent and better than any I have had in the Valley.

    Look at that spider

Let me tell you something i was excited to eat some crawfish, shrimp, crab legs & potatoes and corn it's been a year since I've had it until today Sunday evening March 10.. As I was eating almost everything I looked over at a weird looking black figure inside my dish and to come to my surprise it was a SPIDER!!! Not a small tiny one but a BIG SPIDER!! Gross. They didn't even give me my refund back nor any remake meal! What kind of service is this never ever coming to this place again.

Great. One of the best places for crawfish and Cajun boils. I keep going back for the good service and most of the prices are reasonable, the drab boil is a bit expensive though.

The service is ok, but the food has always been really good. The crawfish always tastes good and the hot and sour Pho is perfect on a cold or rainy day. The cleanliness of the bathroom could use work and the sink water always comes out piping hot but I'm willing to look past it for good food.

We had passed the restaurant many times and my husband loves crawfish. We came for a date and really enjoyed the food. The seafood gumbo had an amazing flavor. The po boy and shrimp were crunchy and perfectly flavored. I wasn't fond of the flavor of the magic rice, but my husband loved it. It was definitely very Cajun spiced. We will come back.

Good Crawfish. They come in different flavors. You can buy potatoes, corn and sausage separately. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. You pay market price for the crawfish however they do offer crabs for purchase. Be sure to get 3 lbs of crawfish. Oh yeah they have hot butter ready to pour.

My waiter Aaron was friendly and attentive, and *tried to suggest something. The problem was, there were too many things I wanted to try! I settled on the fried oysters with a side of cajun fries. The oysters had a delicious seasoning and were well cooked. My only complaint was I felt they had too much breading to appreciate the oyster inside. Again, the breading was delicious - just too much. You get about 10 oysters. The fries were well seasoned as well, and quite plentiful. For dessert I had the caramel banana pie. It looked delicious, but for me, it was just too over the top. For the expense, I certainly would not order again. Speaking of "expense", this place is more in the "medium" price range and not something I would go to on a regular basis for lunch. It was good, and definitely maybe more of a dinner spot. Nice change of pace kind of place!

Food: The seafood was incredibly fresh, seasoned perfectly, and packed with bold flavor. Every bite tasted like it was prepared with care. The sauces were rich without overpowering the natural flavor of the seafood, and the portions were generous. You definitely leave satisfied. Pro tip: I highly recommend ordering bottled water with your meal -- it pairs perfectly with the seasoning and keeps everything balanced while you enjoy the full flavor experience. Service: Ruby was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our server checked on us consistently without being intrusive, and everything came out quickly and hot. Great customer service. Thanks Ruby! Ambiance: The atmosphere is lively, clean, and comfortable. It has that fun seafood-boil energy while still being relaxed enough to enjoy good conversation. It's a great spot for family dinners, friends' night out, or even a casual date night. Overall, Krab Kings delivers on flavor, service, and vibe. We'll definitely be back!

Shrimp stuffed Jalapeño (2): they were huge and tasted really good. 2. Fried Mushrooms: they were nicely friend with grated Parmesan on top. 3. Popcorn shrimp: this is like any popcorn shrimp you have had at any restaurant. It was good. Then ordered a stuffed crab. (My mom had this and it's her favorite app. Finally we ordered oysters Rockefeller which are always great. For our main meals: Two of us (including myself) had the Red Snapper Rockefeller which was the best thing I've had in a while. There three cheese sauce is something out of this world. The other two individuals had the Kings Stuffed Flounder. They both very much enjoyed it and it came with the same three cheese sauce as well. The fried potatoes were nice and crispy and paired well with the three cheese sauce. The corn was perfectly seasoned. Can't wait to go back again.

First, let's talk about the fact that the air conditioning (or lack thereof) is a HUGE problem. It never works. It's always HOT. Last weekend I visited and they had 2 stand fans running... because once again, the AC was out. Think about that... the AC was out in the middle of Summer. Are we to believe that this restaurant doesn't make enough money to either fix or purchase a new unit? To add insult to injury, the wandering busboy didn't want to turn the ceiling fan on high. That is both unacceptable and ridiculous. Next, let's talk about the food. It's become so-so at best. The once delicious seafood stuffed jalapeño was soggy inside- a mush of tasteless filling that had a few pieces of hard, chopped up shrimp. The french fries had no salt... my question is are they skimping on basic seasonings or are the line cooks just lazy? Most likely both. Lastly, out of all the seafood restaurants in the RGV, Dirty Al's has the WORST cocktail and tartar sauce. In fact, it's the worst I've tasted anywhere. How can that be? Those two sauces are standard and not difficult to make. When Long John Silver has better sauces, you're in trouble. What a shame. What a waste of money. Dirty Al, do better. Bring back the days of delicious food in a comfortable setting. Perhaps it's time to sail off into the sunset.

So, I decided to give them another try. The service at the counter was friendly and efficient. While I consider their prices on the high side, they do have some good special offers. I ordered take-out, a family special of 9 pieces mixed, four biscuits and one large side for $20. That's a very good price. There was a longer wait time than I anticipated but hoped that meant fresh biscuits. When they're fresh, they are delicious. By the time I arrived home, within 15 minutes, the biscuits were hard - so I doubt they were right out of the oven. They were, however, still edible. The red beans and rice was very good, and with the large serving had more beans than rice (beans being where the flavor is). The chicken was the star and did not disappoint this time. My 9 piece family meal included 2 chicken beasts. The dining room is pleasant and clean with a New Orleans flair. It was also mostly empty. The parking lot is also spacious and well maintained. I think there's room for improvement with the food, but I got a good deal on the family meal, and would go again if I get the fried chicken craving.
