Absolutely not. I took a evening gown there for alteration, really just to be hemmed! It took a long time for the dress to finally arrive, as it was ordered on line. I am the mother of the bride, recouping from a huge surgery. So the service I received and additional efforts to get the dressed hemmed were ridiculous. The employee measured the hem and said she has to send out to tailor for a cost. They advertise they do alterations on site? She assured me I would get the dress hemmed in a week. So the next day I got a text with a quote of $250.00, for the Hem and $45.00 for the dry clean. So that's almost $ 300.00. I paid just a little over $200.00 for the dress. The reason I am taking the time to write this short story is because it's just a hem? She indicated I would have to answer her asap for approval on the dress 2x with in the span of less than 25 min. When I answered her back with a no, I never got a response. So I texted a few times and left a message on her vm. My daughter said she would hem it. I was trying to avoid that as she is the bride and busy. So just way over priced. No response when time was an issue. And just not taking ownership of the situation. I was parked outside this establishment when the lady behind the counter came out to check on an unbloomed flower that is sitting outside the business in 50 degree weather. (Like really?) I posted pics, you can clearly see there was no reason for her to come out to check on the flower bed. She used that as a reason to check who was in my car. Nosey and ignorant in my opinion. I feel she was being judgmental and racist. I clearly have a pr flag on my front mirror. I'm sure she got upset because I parked in front of her business and didn't drop anything off. I was sitting there waiting on my food order I placed next door at Momma K's. The food there is fantastic by the way. Nowhere does it say do not park. It states 15 min parking for any customer for any business. read more

A dry cleaner is a dry cleaner. Not much to it. Been coming here for almost two years and have had some alterations done although. This LAST time someone decided to charge up. I had to pay double of what the dry cleaner down the street was charging. Only because I consider myself a loyal customer I had my daughter bring her dress here instead. When she dropped off, Mr. Cho wasn't in to price the alteration and my daughter was sent home with a claim ticket with a question mark on it.... I never got a call, although we specifically requested a call with price. Today I come to pick up the dress "assuming" price would be reasonable since a call to me was not made before starting. Surprise! $108.00!! I still have the claim ticket from when my daughter dropped off the same dress at Dada's $58.00 I told him and a "discount" of $10. Was offered. Loyalty is to my wallet, going back to Dada's Dry Cleaner I go. read more

I would put zero stars if I could Brought two long sleeve dresses for a cleaning Surprised by the amount they changed and asked why it is si expensive they said i have two coats I opened and told them it is not a coat its a dress And they are trying to convince me it a coat-dress...... BEWARE! Do not take alterations here!! They appear to have a routine of not giving a price when you drop off, they put a question mark on your ticket then charge an INSANELY high price after alterations are done! I called the next day to ask the price and he said $80. I said "No way that's more than having a dress made!" He actually yelled at me and said "what did you think?? $20???" Then he said dress is already done. I said I'm not paying $80. Had my husband call and then he says "you can come pick up dress" So he lied saying it was done when it wasn't. GO TO DADA'S CLEANERS down the street!! She charged $28 for the same job, no dishonesty and is respectful and super nice!! We will never go back to Cho's Cleaners!! read more

They charged me $10 for each curtain panel to be pressed etc. My bill was more than I paid for the curtains. Outrageous prices ,

Cho's cleaners are owned by two very nice people...Don and Sunny. There last name is not Cho though!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, the prices are high but I understand they have overhead and this is a locally owned small business that needs to be supported (other cleaners in Gurnee have gone out of business!) Don and Sunny are quick with service too....If you need something next day...it's done next day. read more

Since my cleaner across Grand closed, I've been going to Cho's in my nearby strip mall. They are prompt, thorough and reasonably priced. They offer alteration services as well. Best of all, they know me by name and always welcome me with a "Hello Kevin!" No complaints here! read more
