However just yesterday I got a bill of $800 listing all of the backlog of charges over the past 2 years. There wasn't any transparency that eg a nurse call to get a sick note would lead to a $225 charge. But what made me most upset is that for every physical, they've been billing me $180 just to go over the blood test when it's done. I've never had this NOT included as part of my free physical anywhere else, unless I'll expect a bill from previous providers similarly years after the fact. And when I tried getting some clarity about this with the billing department, I kept getting cut off and it seemed clear she was trying to rush me off the phone. Very disappointed

Come appointment day, I had a great experience because all my questions were answered and I felt Dr. Compton took his time learning about me given I'm a new patient. I didn't feel rushed at all. His office staff also were very friendly and accommodating. I'm giving only 4 stars due to the fact then whenever I call their number, nobody picks up. Although the number can be texted and they will respond, I figured if I'm someone who isnt well equipped to text or book an appointment online, phone access is still very helpful. After I went to the hospital for stomach pain and came in to review my cat scan, they were at a loss for what could've caused the pain. There was really no follow up or treatment plan suggested. I also recently called when I was super sick and asked if I could come in and get tested for strep and mono and they said they don't do that there and to go to an urgent care. I'm very confused by a doctor's office that doesn't have the basic tests available to diagnose illnesses - It seems like this would be an integral part of the job. The last thing Is that they told me they could do an in-house breast ultra sound with their technician because I had had some irregular results in the past and didn't want to go all the way to Beverly Hills to see my regular breast doctor. But, I never received the results from this. While the bedside manner is lovely, the actual execution of effective medicine is yet to be seen.

Her thoroughness exceeded my expectations, and she went above and beyond by referring me to an endocrinologist and ophthalmologist. It has been quite some time since a doctor spent over an hour examining me. Typically, I find myself waiting longer for the doctor than the actual appointment itself. This experience, however, was the complete opposite. Dr. Nguyen Oghalai explained everything in meticulous detail. She clarified that various conditions of arthritis exist, and it would require more than just the first visit to accurately determine my specific arthritic condition. On several occasions I have had to go to the ER or urgent care simply because I could not reach my primary care doctor--who is supposed to be the first point of contact. When Dr. Emil was overseeing everything, the service was excellent; he is a great doctor. However, without proper access and communication, the quality of care is lost. I have since switched to another provider who is actually available to answer a call when needed. I hope this office can resolve these issues and return to the professional standard they once had, rather than continuing the current trend of being unavailable and overcapacity.
