While visiting, my coworker and I were craving Thai so after a quick little search on Yelp, we landed on this spot. The reviews looked good so we gave it a try. We both ordered the pad thai, panang curry and some spring rolls. Everything was delicious. I ordered some spicy and it lit my mouth up. So they are serious about their spice. I still loved it. The service was friendly and helpful. They have a small dining room but it needs a little asthetic help to make it someplace I would want to eat. We decided to just take it out.

Great food, great service, and the experience was overall-- good. I only wish, having a set of sensitive ears, the place would have been more calm.

Pad tai was delicious. I added shrimp and it came with a large portion, extremely flavorful. I like that you can pick your spiciness level. Small dining area with around 4 tables. Staff was extremely friendly and kind!!!

My wife and I were in the neighborhood and went to chow thai for lunch. My wife had the shrimp tom yum soup with kai jiou egg omelette over white rice. I had the chicken tom yum soup medium spice and pad see yew medium spice. Everything was amazing!!! Best Thai flavor I have ever had, very good and authentic. The server was very good, prompt, and considerate. The inside is small and simple which is fine for me. We would come back here in a heart beat it was so good!

We have great Thai options in Northern VA, so I was skeptical, but after reading the reviews and some saying it's the best Thai they've ever had, I had to try it. I got the Su Ko thai noodle soup, and it was delicious. It tasted authentic to me, and if I was in Charleston longer, I would've tried their other dishes. Definitely a thai restaurant worth visiting...

Best shrimp spring rolls I've ever had. Best Asian cuisine in Charleston! The Chang Mai curry was spicy and sweet my husband who's vegan enjoyed it thoroughly. The pad Thai was good but a little sweeter than I'm used to which is not the way I like it personally but still very good. The dumplings were good as well. Thai iced tea was solid and I'd definitely come back to try the rice dishes. I think I'd like that more than the noodles. But hands down better than any of the other Asian cuisine places I've tried in WV.

Great food and even better service!! Food was hot and came out so quickly! We drove 50 minutes to try this place and we will definitely be returning!!

The Thai tea is always my go to here! Always fresh! This was a new dish I've tried, loved it!!! Everything we've ever ordered has always been fresh. My husband loves the beef ramen. The staff, especially the main female working the register is always beyond sweet! Love supporting this kind family!!! The restaurant is nice and clean as well! Definitely recommend!

They have several choices on the 3 pages of menus so it made it sort of difficult to pick my poison, so to speak. They bill themselves as modern Japanese. Not sure what that meant, but basically they play modern upbeat music and have a modern interior. They do have lunch specials during the week, but I didn't see many that were appealing as they're a combination of Chinese, Thai and Japanese dishes. They also had poke bowls for lunch, but I'm not so sure about that. Their sushi rolls appeared to be made mostly with cream cheese, which I'm not a big fan of in rolls, so those were out as well. I ended up ordering off of the dinner menu. I chose the grilled lamb chops and a side of steamed rice. I totally missed the 3rd menu which featured the sushi and specialty rolls. The lamb chops were ok, they did have a slight grilled flavor, but also another weird flavor like they weren't that fresh. Maybe customers don't order lamb chops here, as much as maybe they would at a fancy American or Mediterranean restaurant. Either way, I still ate them because I was hungry. I prefer the frenched rib chops better than the loin chop which is served here....since its a much tastier cut. In addition, it's usually more expensive. Overall, I don't see myself ever returning here since I'm also not in the area that much. Service was adequate as our drinks were refilled a couple of times and the waiter made sure to stop by and check on us.

The edamame tasted old/dry, the teriyaki salmon wasn't bad, the dumplings tasted good according to my husband but he ended up getting sick later. Not sure if it was the dumplings or just the thought of seeing cockroaches as we were trying to have dinner. The people working there were nice enough, but we won't ever come back.

When I first walked in, I thought I might be in the wrong place because it looked more like an Irish Pub than it did a Japanese restaurant. There is the first bar area and then you can go to the other side where the main dining area is. In the back they have an area for private larger group dining, as well. I decided to sit at the bar in the main dining area. The waitress was friendly and helpful in recommending some of their more popular dishes. I decided to start things off with a little seaweed salad. I was surprised with the portions. I've never had this much salad. It was fresh and delish! For my main course, I ordered the Mongolian filet and a few specialty sushi rolls my waitress recommended. Two of the rolls were good, but one was way too salty to eat. The Mongolian filet wasn't what I expected but it was ok. I was expecting the more traditional Mongolian brown sauce, but this didn't compare to any Mongolian sauce I've ever had. I eat a lot of Asian cuisine and I just felt it didn't taste that Asian to me. Having said that, the filet bites were well cooked and tender. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. I'd order the Dragon Maki roll again, but I would probably try some different items the next time I visit.

I ordered Kung pow chicken Xtra spicy and specifically stated that in the online form comments. I also asked for a very small amount of sauce in the comments for the mixed vegetable plate I ordered. I was taken back by the $5.69 added service fee and then the added $1.69 fee for something else but not well defined, plus taxes and a tip. The total cost for two meals deivered was $46 and change. I looked forward to good food. The order arrived an hour later than initially quoted. The Kung pow was mushy not crispy as it should be and it was not spicy as I requested. The mixed veggies has extra sauce, not a very small amount as requested. And the sauce was just basic soy sauce mixed with water. Nothing special and somewhat disappointing. I will not order from here again nor even order to pick up as it appears they make everything like an assembly line and anything outside of the assembly line normal is not acceptable. The don't follow instructions so I can't feel comfortable recommending this place nor give them more than 1 star. The Kung pow was thrown out as it was like dog food, my money was wasted sadly. I poured out 99% of the mixed vegetable sauce and ate the oil and soy sauce soaked veggies.

That's a dollar or two difference per sandwich versus the pick two, which also advertises the half sandwiches. I looked up what a half size Italian at Panera should be -- six inches.
