Have bought 20+ shirts from Chowdaheadz over the years and have never had an issue with the product quality or customer service, until now. Purchased three shirts in July 2021 (yes, outside the 45 day return policy) and started to notice the shirts were scratching me on the back of my neck. Come to find out the "new" labels they are using for the tag is coming off, but only in pieces leaving annoying pieces that scratch your neck. Sent info to help@chowdaheadz and the response was "canned" and for my "trouble" sent me a 10% discount (that BTW cannot be used on ANY other promotion. I have two shirts unwearable and one starting the delamination of the label. Unfortunately there is no way for me to attach the pictures of the issue here but they were sent with my e-mail. The "I MIGHT LIVE IN (YOUR STATE) BUT I KEEP MY SOX IN BOSTON!" shirt turned out to be one of my step-dad's favorite gifts, ever. In fact, it WAS his favorite gift until I surprised him with Red Sox/Cubs tickets for Father's Day......so a t-shirt has to be pretty darn awesome to barely be surpassed by those amazing tickets, right? Right. Instead of putting "ILLINOIS", I had Chowdaheadz put "CHICAGO", which really pissed off the (White) Sox fans when we went to one of the Sox/Sox games last year. I really enjoy the sense of humor that is conveyed in the product and I believe that the quality is okay. However the customer service is automated and doesn't actually address the issues. I ordered a shirt for my dad that grew up in East Boston and he has a strong tie to his roots. I ordered a tshirt for him for Christmas. On December 13th I ordered the gift. I recieved a confirmation email right away. Two days later I received an email that the order was completed and awaiting pick up from USPS. This email also stated that if I didn't see that the order was progressing to contact the company. I waited a few days to see if the status would change and it remained as "Awaiting pickup " so I sent an email explaining that the order had not progressed at all. They emailed back and it was clear that whoever was responding didn't take the time to read my email so I emailed again and attached a screenshot of what I was getting when I tried to track the order so that they might understand my concern. The response again reinforced that no one had actually read my email or bothered to check my order in their system. This was on the 19th and 20th. At this point I had lost all confidence that anyone at Chowdaheadz was going to address the issues and rushed and paid more than I could afford to get my father a gift to open as he is spending Christmas alone this year because of Covid. On the 26th I triple checked with my dad and he had not received the gift. So I contacted Chowdaheadz once more and asked for a refund as it was clear to me that they never bothered to produce or send my order. And they responded that USPS was not scanning packages and that for sure the order was on its way. That was a line of BS because not an hour later than I asked for a refund suddenly my order was dropped off at USPS in MA on the 26th. In short although these folks have an amazing sense of humor they are far from " Wicked Smahrt" and are as the name suggests a bunch of "Chowdaheadz ". read more

First of all, major props to Chowdaheadz Boston spirit. Sadly, the product we ordered (tire cover) seemed acceptable if not better, but we could not use it because it was the wrong size. Chowdaheadz Refused to return a perfectly new unused tire cover because of the following language on their website: "Fits mounted tires/wheels up to 32" in overall diameter and 11" wide. PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR SIZE before ordering! We cannot accept returns due to damaged product from incorrect sizing." First of all, the tire cover does not fit wheels smaller than 29 inches in diameter which is inconsistent with the description. Furthermore the customer service representative attempted to insist that I couldn't return it, because it had been opened even though it was mailed in a resealable package. When I pressed, he changed his tune and said they never accept any returns on tire covers. If that was the case - the language on the website doesn't communicate that returns for undamaged tire covers are not accepted, and instead of sending me language from an irrelevant return policy, he should have just said that up front. Felt rather rudely treated by customer service, which is surprising given so many good stories about service from Chowdaheadz. Wish my dad had measured the tire properly, but also wish Chowdaheadz would accept my return in perfect condition. read more

BEST customer service! Extremely responsive to email (wrote back within 24 hours). I had to exchange a t-shirt that was given to me as a gift, and wanted to exchange it for a t-shirt that was $2.00 more. While I was willing to pay the extra $2.00, Chowdaheadz waived the extra cost and sent me a new t-shirt right away. I received the new t-shirt in less than a week from my original inquiry!! I have had good service from them in the past, so I was shocked when I got such poor service when I placed an order on July 3. I paid for priority mail and my order did not even go out till Monday ,5 days later. When I questioned them they said they were closed for the long weekend. When I asked to be reimbursed for the priority shipping I paid for and didn't get , ( asked since no where checkout did it say priority shipping was not available at that time )they said no and that they hope I had a good holiday weekend.
