I always felt respected, my opinions heard, and everything about my experience with Mike made me feel like a QUEEN. Now I get to wear his art for the rest of my life. What a privilege it is, Mike is the best in the Seattle area, and I appreciate every moment of my experience with him.

He really works hard to make sure you are getting the tattoo you truly want, while also educating you about placement, inks, techniques, and how to care for your tattoo. You can tell he puts a lot of care and effort into his art. I 100% recommend getting a tattoo by Mike! You can clearly see the difference. It is on my thigh. If you want a tattoo of evergreen trees from Mike, expect to get deformed, crooked, sad looking trees...one even looks like a bush. I understand the circumference of thighs change making it hard for the artist to perfectly line them up, but Mike made them crooked AF compared to the other artist that covered them. Mike also made the trees in the back and inner thigh 2 inches taller than the front. For such a simple tattoo, it took a lot of ink, money, time and pain. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

Wanted to do something special for Valentine's Day with my husband. All it took was one quick call,…read morecar ride and short consultation. Within hours we were getting uniquely designed tattoos!! We were greeted and tattooed by Travis, the owner at Savage Kat Tattoo Co in Auburn, WA! His professionalism and skills were absolutely outstanding. We got extremely lucky that he happened to be free due to a cancellation. The universe was truly looking out for us! He sat with us and listened to everything we liked, wanted and hoped for. Designed multiple options for us and modified our chosen designs until they were everything we could dream of. The designs were perfectly matching for the both of us while being tailored uniquely for our own preferences and placements. This was also my husband's first tattoo! I'm so thankful we had such a lovely experience with a tremendous artist who showed my husband everything that a tattoo appointment and experience truly should be. Travis was so great in offering advice on placement according to anatomy and future tattoo plans to ensure a perfectly done tattoo. He made sure he got our approval on everything every step of the way and clarified spelling multiple times throughout the process to guarantee no chance of mistakes or misspelling. This was a small but extremely notable thing for us and really showed how involved and invested Travis is in both his art and his clients. After each of our completed tattoos, he was kind enough to take a video and photos of our tattoos and send them to us. This was so nice. We could immediately show off to friends and family - and in way better lighting and angles then we'd have been able to get ourselves! While there, I also decided to purchase a high quality nose jewelry that Toxic, a tattoo/piercer at the shop, was even willing to put in for me. We cannot recommend them enough, Travis and the whole Savage Kat Tattoo Co team, for all of your tattoo and piercing needs! This place is high quality only. We will be visiting again!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

Yes he should've just left and not allowed him to do the tattoo in a location he did not want but he is too nice as I mentioned and also had been waiting for 2 hours for this tattoo. The tattoo itself is nice, just bad service and I think artists should just allow people to place tattoos where they desire, it's not like he was asking for it to be on his forehead... he wanted it on his leg yet ended up with it on his arm.

But I also think honest experiences help both future customers and the business itself, so I'll simply share what happened and let others make their own decision. I arrived shortly after their posted opening time, only to find a note saying they'd be back later. When I called, I learned the piercer wouldn't arrive until 1pm due to a personal commitment. I gave grace and returned. The piercing itself was quick, with some small talk about Seattle, and I mentioned that I hadn't been pierced in 20+ years due to keloiding, so I was nervous and wanted to make sure things were done carefully. I paid, received a basic aftercare sheet, and headed home. Later that evening, the front of my flat-back earring fell out and the back was hanging loosely. I eventually managed to get the flat back post in the front just to keep the piercing from closing and I called about 8p after closing and left a message for guidance but never received a call back. A different piercer at a jewelry shop explained that flat-back earrings require a slight bend in the post for tension -- something that hadn't been done. It was an easy fix, but disappointing that it was missed, especially since piercings need weeks to heal. There's clearly a lot of history behind this business, but my experience didn't reflect the level of professionalism and follow-up I expected for a $100 service. I personally prefer to go somewhere with more consistency in both technique and aftercare communication.

The vibe is very chill and it's always a quick in and out with an amazing piercing, and great pricing! Artist is a pro freehand piercer. 10/10 recommend. I don't trust a lot of places, but i'll continue coming back here and recommending it to everyone !! The first time I came here I was getting the other side of my nose pierced ( I had already had one side of my nose done by another artist years before) and he nailed the placement which was a worry of mine of them not being even. I also was really was nervous about my eyebrow and the method of it being pierced. I've seen places on the internet use clamps which can cause bruising, and places point the needle down and that's just scary, and he did neither and I left very happy and it was my least painful piercing yet and super quick!!
