I really needed some help, as my washer stopped spinning mid-wash! I called Chris' second, after another company couldn't even ask a question. Chris came out right when scheduled and immediately found the problem - my washer was ancient! He advised that the problem was not worth fixing. Bummed out, I asked where I could find one with all the features I needed. He delivered one the SAME DAY!!! Also, his wife, who answered the phone was awesome! So friendly and knowledgeable. Let me preface with the fact that we currently rent and this is the business the rental agency uses, and after my experience, I can say that I won't be calling them when we buy for our future needs. I asked to be called ahead to arrange an appointment. Both rental company and Chris' pointed fingers at each other. NBD, it happens...rental agency tells me they won't schedule appointments for renters, which I find incredibly rude. Not all of us are inconsiderate students and I have every right to be here or have an appointment to fix it. Just because I'm a renter, doesn't mean I don't have rights! At first i didnt believe it, but the tech promised they would call when the part came in sometime in the next day or two. No call about 1.5 weeks later so i call them. The receptionist was a pretty miserable lady. Told me i had to call the rental agency for an update. Uhhhh okay? So they called her and then called me back 5 mins later. What a waste of everyones time! Then, I just wasn't impressed with the person who actually did the repairs. Most of my complaints about my washer and dryer were shrugged off and said that once the timer was fixed, it would fix everything. I don't see how fixing the timer is going to take care of a funky smell in my clothes when they come out of the washer. Surprise, surprise, it didnt. Although the timer is fixed, the cycles dont match up exactly with the faceplate. He was here maybe 10 minutes total, so it just felt rushed. Then they suspect there is a break in the vent ducting in the wall because the laundry room gets unbearable when drying clothes. They ask me if I talked to the rental company about???...I'm just calling it good at what they did complete because I don't want to deal with another headache from these people. read more

Lady at front said the burner I bought fits all hot point ovens. Got it back and took my oven burner apart and it was a different style. Called back and no one answered. I had to leave town next morning for two weeks before the opened. When I got back in town and tried to return it she said if I could read English it is posted everywhere no returns on electrical parts. She called owner and he said I could get ten percent back. She looked at the plug end and said it looked like it was shoved into something. I told her it was not because the plug ins are completely different. I do not recommend going someplace where they sell you the wrong item then don't take it back. read more

Get a written estimate! After charging $45.00 more for a part than quoted, the woman in the shop was defensive when approached about it and threatened to put me on a "list" of difficult customers that local business are aware of. The part is widely available for $85.00 as quoted and they charged $129. Very poor showing which would be comical if it wasn't hitting customers in the pocketbook. Whether it is a bad business practice or an inability to accept that they made a mistake it all works out to a business that is disrespectful to its customers and offensive, small personalities. read more

Worst customer service experience of my life. Called to reschedule an appointment and the woman answering the phones was immediately rude. She argued with me about how my roommate wasn't nice to her and how I'm not a customer. What? I was trying to be a customer...but not anymore. Regardless of if my roommate was rude (which I highly doubt), aren't I the paying customer here? We'd worked with this business before and had good experiences but I'll never go back after how I was treated on the phone. In August, business owner Chris spent less than 20 minutes trying to diagnose the cause of a washing machine leak. He was not successful. Later that week, when I ran the machine on the Quick Wash cycle, I quickly found the leak. If Chris had investigated the problem systematically and with more patience, he easily could have found the leak. To make matter worse, a week later, I received a bill from him for more than $60.00. When I called and then wrote a letter to complain about the exorbitant charge for failing to do the job well and find the problem, Chris wrote back threatening to send my account to collection even though I hadn't threatened to withhold payment. read more
