Today I was at the Stone Barn for a surprise birthday party. But 14 years ago next week we were here having our wedding reception. I recognized one of the servers that worked that day. Her name is Silvia. I told her about our reception there and asked if Christina still worked here. She told me she did and I was thrilled! I told her how she did so many things to make my day the best it could be and asked if it was possible to speak with her. Silvia promised to get her for me and a little while later Christina comes over to our table. I told her how I was sorry that I never followed up with her after the wedding but that I had to tell her how wonderful she was to me prepping for and during my wedding day. The year before my wedding when we were scoping out venues, she was the only one that was not concerned with impressing me. She was just straight forward with pricing and what they would do. My hubby and I decided to go with the place. And I am so glad we did. A couple of weeks before the wedding I stopped over to drop off the seating arrangement. While there we happened to be in the reception room and she mentioned that she was having the curtains washed for my wedding. I was taken aback by that because they looked fine to me. I realized that to her they did not and I was impressed that she cared enough to make sure that the room was spot on. Two days prior to the wedding, I dropped off materials. While there I mentioned how one of my bridesmaids just told me she wasn't going to make it. She then told me a story about something going awry on her own wedding day to make me feel better. The day of our wedding came. I was a bundle of nerves on the inside. Christina was cool as a cucumber directing us on what to do and when. I remember how she put us in the bridle suite and had it filled with delicious food and told us to eat because we wouldn't during the reception. To this day I've never had breaded scallops like I did that day. The wedding reception was beautiful. The room was picture perfect, the food served in time and delicious. The day was a dream. We could not have asked for a better experience thanks to the staff and especially Christina. And what a testament to a business that has employees that stay for decades!! If you are looking for a place for a wedding reception consider yourself blessed if you do choose The Stone Barn. I just had a funeral catered event here and the manager Christine Griffin was ABHORRENT. She screamed at several members of my family for not standing in the correct place. As well as ordered her entire staff to clear courses just as they were put down. It got so outrageous I had to talk to all of the servers to stop taking everyone's food from the event. EVERYONE LEFT HUNGRY. What a waste of time if I could give this place and this women zero stars I would read more

Would honestly give less stars if possible. Just got home from a wedding at this venue. Spoke with groom ahead of time, and he spoke with the kitchen about a gluten free plate for my fiance. When we arrived we reminded the kitchen she was gluten free and were told no issue. Again when the food hit the table my fiance asked if it was gluten free and was assured it was. 2 bites later we had the server dashing over to let us know the sauce on her food was in fact not gluten free. I was a chef for years. I get people fake gluten allergies, but because of a careless kitchen my fiance got to eat 2 bites of food and is now very sick. This is unacceptable. read more

Fantastic venue for a wedding. They gave us a fleet of golf carts to take on the course so we could take great photos. The owners, Gerty and Jim, were always accessable and mingling during the reception making sure everything was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I was just here for a baby shower and was appalled by the way the managers treated this one server. She was an older woman and was our table's waitress. She was very attentive to my son and another kid at the table. She even got him another highchair when the first one was missing a seatbelt. She told me "anything he needs you let me know ill take care of it." When I was putting my son to sleep in the bar area..the two managers were In There (one male one female) and first off the male made the female a drink and it was NOT a Pepsi! When the chicken fingers came out the waitress saw that they were for her table and said she would take it. He partially there the dish at her and the face the manager gave her was disgusting and the comment of her getting "worse not better" wasn't nice either. They both continued to talk about her. The female was nastier than the male and was barking orders at this poor lady to clean up the table and "no one likes a mess" she never once said please to this woman who could have been her mother! Food was eh...the chicken Marsala was dry and so was what I think was penne vodka. Would book someplace else! read more

dont do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you are considering having your wedding at the stone barn let me give you a piece of advice dont! we had our wedding there and i should have gone with my gut prior to the wedding and with all the craziness i didn't and boy do i regret it. first off-most attempts to get ahold of their "wedding manager" usually when unanswered and ignored for months i tried to set up a tasting and nothing-i was told "oh when i get your menu together i will call you and set it up"-never happened. i let that go because i knew people that had eaten there and said the food was good two days prior to my wedding i finally met with the manager and went over little details including the bridal suite and making sure that i would have that at my dispose for the night to use the bathroom, freshen up, etc. was guaranteed that i would have it for my bridal party only. the night of my wedding i ended up sharing it with a party for a 15 year old!!!! and when i tried to resolve this with the owner i basically got nothing except i dont understand what the problem is! hello?? its a bridal suite....not a birthday suite.. i had personal things in that room which i then had to lock up in their office so that the 15 year olds could be in the room with the booze and food my husband and i paid for. the manager did nothing but hide the rest of the night, never came out and tried to fix the problem. the mother from the birthday party started a physical fight with one of my bridesmaids, the cops were called, i missed a good chunk of my wedding and ended up in tears all because the owners and managers didnt want to handle a problem that could have easily been resolved especially when they have a huge bathroom that the bday party could have used. i also went the day after to talk to the manager, who conviently was hiding again....dont use it if you dont want your day ruined or them to cater to a birthday party more then they do a wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Catering room was nice but the food was eh. THe food is typical catering hall food nothing to special. the service was great but at times we all felt rushed as they had another party after us. they hardly left time for dancing and singing cause of the rush. read more

I had made reservations for Mothers Day for 6 people at 12:00. We arrived on time an had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated as the place was very busy. No problem. They served us with 2 tables put together that weren't even the same height. One guest had to do kitty corner to make room. No problem. We sat about 10-15 minutes before I had to flag down someone to ask for coffee. No problem. We went to eat at the Buffett an continued to do so while stacking about 8 dishes on top of each other because no one would take them away. No problem. I had to ask the manager for more coffee as she walked by. I asked for the check and they added 18% gratuity!!!! I have no problem tipping a wait staff an understand it is not there fault management over books an doesn't bring enough waitstaff in to cover, but charging 18% when they didn't have half the servers required to service all the folks eating. That I have a problem with!!! They also charged the most for brunch in the area which should have covered the monies for more help. read more
